Amazing night as always. We went for Jonathan's Philippino pop up which was beautiful but venue made it. Mike's service is fantastic and recommend asking for his special shot.

Something different to do at night in London. An old London pub converted into a members club. Behind a rather shabby exterior lies a world like no other. Great collection of shows for each floor, if a bit short in duration. Great entertainers. Be sure yo get the more expensive tickets so you get front row seats for each show.

An absolutely brilliant evening out. Highly recommended ... we will be back in 2022 for sure

A hidden jem in the sea of Shoreditch bars. The ambiance is an intriguing mix of moulin rough and London. Enhanced with the stuffed animals. Look out for the monkey with the gun. Psst its invitation only.

Went last night after sometime. It was good to be back. The cocktails curated by Mike were insane. Mike invested time with us sampling his creations. You are one talented man @Mike! Thank you.

We went for a burlesque evening.
The drinks are really expensive and not very nice, we were told that we couldn't order cocktails.
It's an interesting looking place and we did have fun, but was expecting more, especially for the prices.

This was an experience!! A friend of mine was a member and got us entry, just another world. Taxidermy is top level, whilst it makes me sad that these animals were killed for this, it was in a time where we didn't know what we do today and in that sense it's like a mueasm. Worth visiting 💯
A. K.
Do not think the animals are dead. Drink one of the bar's delicious cocktails and you'll hear them tell you their story. It's fascinating, especially the giant turtle's tale. Anyway, the animals are for sure much more friendly than the barmen.

Great little venue, the staff are lovely and the venue has great aesthetics. A nice place to hang out with friends but also have a little dance.

Awesome interior. Kind of Narnia style. Bit overpriced cocktails but atmosphere round it up. Not very busy place so u can enjoy conversation with others
Z. C.
Watched a comedy show and they were awesome. Not a very big crowd but I think that made it more fun!!
C. S.
Wow wow wow , what an experience, incredible burlesque and magic night , you must must must go , great drinks and party atmosphere too
T. B.
A weird and wonderful place just off kingsland high street. Get a membership on Groupon. From the outside it looks like a run down pub but inside there is a speak easy bar, downstairs a soundproof club and upstairs a variety of rooms. Good for a date or drinks with friends and open v late

Great Happy Friendly staff, Halloween party and we were welcomed met some fun loving people.

Hi The king's head,
Is a very nice place, with fantastic art and excellent staff. Please keep up the great work.
kindest regards,

I can't tell you how great this place is. Everyone that works there is super friendly and amazing! I love how the venue is hidden, and the interior creates this surreal atmosphere. Cheers to Jonathan for being such a legend!

The deco is interesting, be sure to explore all the rooms! I went for a dance party and it was ok
N. B.
Great little members club, open late which I think it the main appeal. The DJ's are usually pretty good if you want a late night boogie. The place is sometimes empty, I think due to it being a members club so its not rammed like most late places, which is OK except an empty dancefloor is not as fun. The main bar area though is lovely and there is a decent covered smoking area which of course is better than standing in the street.

I had my 50th birthday party here last weekend. I was really impressed. The staff went above and beyond to make it a special experience - from the club secretary who helped to organise the party; to the bar manager and bar staff who smiled all night as they kept the delicious cocktails flowing; to the DJ who played the music we liked and kept the party going til 4 am. The venue is really unusual - full of wildlife as well as cosy and decadent. I am now a member and intend to use regularly.

Had a great evening with friends in the wild cats room !! Service was brilliant , particularly from Mike , Rav and Jonathan !! And a huge thank you to Hind for helping organise the evening and sorting my membership :) can’t wait to come back 🤗

Very quirky! Lots of stuffed animals, dark, good atmosphere for the party i attended micro club upstairs and downstairs. Staff polite, recommended for a drink, or a night of dancing.

Very hidden and interesting club. Varied crowd, which seems to change according to the floor and room you are in. Ambience is ubercool, well designed and ready to surprise. Very good cocktails. Ask a member friend to let you in. Worth it.

Friendly staff. Amazing looking venue. Intimate and inviting, oh and discrete!

I joined The Kings Head this month having been a guest there a few months back. The outside of the venue is an almost derelict East London boozer but once inside it feels like a prohibition bar meets a taxidermy convention. The cocktails were excellent and would recommend the rum based "Hurricane" and the staff gave me a guided tour of the basement club, ground floor bar and upstairs spaces that are ideal for meetings or small group get togethers.

Unlike anywhere I have been before! Good hang out if your in the area!

THIS PLACE IS A JUNGLE! One of the greatest, funniest and positive vibrations environment I've ever been. Is a private members club, subscription is not expensive if you subscribe now via Groupon. My only and sincere suggestion is to subscribe, it is open from Tuesday to Saturday until late, you won't regret my suggestion
G. C.
This is the most quirky pub I have ever been! A private member's club with quite expensive membership, but I visited as part of attending a theatre event. As soon as you enter the place, you feel that you are in a completely different world. Expect a lot of taxidermy with tigers, monkeys, polar bears, deers...they have a huge collection of taxidermy here. The bar on the ground floor is surrounded by velvet booths, creepy pictures and butterfly collections. In the basement you can find a dancefloor while in the upper floor rooms, you will have more rooms to wander and have drinks in privacy. Coctails are a bit expensive but worth to pay a visit here. So dark, so creepy, so weird!
M. T.
I live just up the road from the King's Head but I've never crossed the threshold due to my reluctance to pay a membership free to have a drink given the amount of options on my doorstep. Having now ventured inside as the guest of a member I have to say that I'm glad I saved my money.
While it is a pretty cool experience walking into what looks like a really run down local put to be greeted with an opulent interior full of funky stuffed animals. It would probably be the stuff of PETA's nightmares!
Drinks were a little bit more expensive than normal bar prices although the measures of the spirits were VERY generous. After a couple of drinks and a bit of a wander around I was ready to go.
I can see the appeal to some people who want a little bit of status but it's not for me. Definitely worth checking out if you can though
D. J.
Five stars if you go for Gin House Burlesque - one if the best nights in London. That aside the bar staff know their cocktails, the decor is astounding, but I'm not sure I'd fork out for the membership fee.
A. K.
Members only club with an impressive interior design. Definitely worth getting one of you're into partying till very late. Great music, friendly staff and a stuffed animals everywhere!
M. P.
Quirky, cool, chic & original design of private member's bar on 3 floors with private & common areas to explore or hold a private party.
Relaxed & friendly atmosphere & Fairly pricey..but cool

I visited the Kings head as part of a friends wedding party.
It took us a while to get in as the guy who booked the club was in the last of 3 taxi's to arrive and so a group of us (Including the bride) were waiting around outside what looked like a closed down bar with flaking paint and boarded up windows.
When we finally got in past the door man and the girl on the reception desk there was almost a burlesque/fetish club feel to décor and the people in the entry hall which left us wondering what we were walking into. We got past this into a very cool looking bar and were lead through the bar and up several flights of stairs...
We ended up in one of the private rooms, a slightly crazy looking dining room full of taxidermy, If I remember correctly there was a couple of tigers a lion and a few other things.
A bottle of whisky was ordered for the table by the groom. after it was finished and the beside me who was telling us all how good really heavy peaty Islay malts were asked to get a bottle of either Lagavulin or Laphroaig for the table and was told that Whisky was priced by the shot rather than by the bottle which would make the bottle around £150 at this point he turned funny colours and decided to leave it.
All in all it made for an enjoyable end to the evening in thoroughly surreal surroundings.

We came here for an Immersive theatre performance that was basically a "dusk until dawn" with a touch of cockney. Not a great show but a few laughs (mainly from the other people not the show itself).
From what we've learned this is a members only club. The decor is amazing and there are several rooms in the venue that will blow your mind. Lot's of taxidermy too: A monkey with a kalashnikov in the basement, a polar bear on the first floor, a brown bear on the ground floor. A few tigers and leopards on the top floor.
M. T.
Went to a gig (Idlewild) in the downstairs area. Gig was fantastic, good sound and the space was ok (although not necessarily sure it's the best set-up for gigs). Found the drinks to be overly expensive. Upstairs seems ok but hard to know what the appeal of a membership is.
C. P.
Private members bar with a good atmosphere and very interesting decor (heavy taxidermy throughout). As much as the venue is great, the drinks are heavily overpriced.
S. V.
Private members club! Great place to relax and drink in peace..
M. R.
Nice place good music, few different rooms to explore. Drinks are expensive though, and it gets very hot in there. Would go again for sure.
J. P.
Now a members only bar. Super fun but sometimes its a little quiet - definitely more of a late night place. Bar staff are for the most part excellent.
C. J.
Fantastic venue and experience. We had a birthday booking in one of the rooms which looked amazing. Food was delicious and the service impeccable, I hope to return very soon.
H. B.
Unique venue with a great soundsystem, diverse djs, a relaxed atmosphere and friendly and efficient staff. 10/10 would go again
L. A.
Quirky well decorated members only bar over 3 floors with a basement night club, will definitely be visiting again!
C. N.
Excellent music & the decor was so intersting. Shame the downstairs club wasn't open but will have to come back to see it again.
M. B.
Nice little intimate music venue, drinks are very pricey though, even for soft drinks (which was more than half ice)
P.
Weird, kinda dark and alluring vibe. Lots of dead taxidermy animals - probably not suitable for vegans and veggies
R. T.
Got to tag along with a friend who is a member and loved the quirky vibes of this place. Exclusive but not pretentious and the decor was amazing.
S. K.
Outside it looks like a dump, inside it is trendy and cool. Great vibe and good music. Lots of stuffed animals, though.
R. E.
Odd place. Nice quirky decor but staff were a little rude. Drinks were pricey

The Kings Head is a private members club in the heart of the creative capital of London, Shoreditch. Hidden beneath the façade of a traditional British pub...
D. J.
Gorgeous party venue, great drinks menu and amazing decor in all of the spaces.
P. S.
Super fun for a night out with great little private rooms. Not recommended if you're not into taxidermy!
E. P.
Nice and interesting place, the club downstairs is brilliant, great music and atmosphere

One of the more surreal Private Members Clubs in London. Once visited, never forgotten.

Amazing decoration but relatively expensive, staff need to be a little friendlier too.
