Can't wait to come back. The staff make everything appear effortless and that takes some skill in running a place like this. Strikes a very happy medium between casual and formal. Food is superb and I'd like to heap accolades on the chef. Special mention to the cheerful and welcoming team on reception: Daniel, LaToya and Jamie.

The building inside and out kept beautifully. Food lovely staff lovely. BUT it might be nice if the lounge bar could be open a little longer on say a Friday and Saturday. The customers after all are hardly rowdy and 10.55 the shutters were down. It wouldn't need to be extreme midnight would have been just right.

The room was okay and the kids enjoyed the bunk beds. The food however was a set menu all week and they did not adequately meet my sons dairy free requirements despite ringing ahead 2 weeks and checking they could cater for him. No option for dairy intolerance in breakfast option nor in deserts. Very disappointed. I was also left waiting with my children at the desk for my room key while my husband parked the car before returning to meet us in the hotel on arrival. For whatever reason the staff would not give me the room key and only acknowledged myself and my children when my husband returned.

This was my maiden visit to the VSC. Despite a slight communications error I was very pleased. The staff are courteous, diligent and supportive. The restaurant creates a limited but exceedingly well prepared menu and I enjoyed both the lavish breakfast and the delicious dinners I had during my stay.

Great hotel round the corner from Marble Arch. We got the weekend break package that included a lovely room, 2 breakfasts and an evening meal with wine. All that was cheaper than booking 2 nights b&b. If you're a part of the services and fancy a stay in London then this is a must.

The VSC is an excellent club which provides a professional, welcoming and friendly experience. The Club has an excellent standard provided by a wonderful team. It’s also a club one can go to alone and feel comfortable and at home. I’ve taken many friends who are not HM Forces and they love it. Accommodation standard is good too with reasonably spacious rooms. Food is delicious with good variety. If you’ve not been to the Club - you should! The VSC has undertaken a Covid audit to make it safe.

The place to stay in London if you are a serving member or ex-serving member. I love this place and have stayed here five times over as many years! The location is so convenient to get to so many iconic places in London...I loved that it was so close to Hyde Park. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed. The restaurant and bar are fantastic and the food is really enjoyable. But the stand out is the service by the staff. From the moment you enter you are made to feel welcomed and this is maintained until the sad moment you leave to go home...the staff are just fantastic. Seriously the only place I will stay in London from now on!

This could be the one of well reserved spots in London where brings a legacy of all service men & women in the world. You feel like you are a part of family when you step into this place. In fact, there is Sir Churchill welcome your visit. His words are profound and signify the greatness of serving our nations whether that is UK, USA or anywhere else. Yes, this is a pride of England, Royal Navy, Army, Air Force, etc and all of forces in other parts of the world. I am honored to be staying in this place. With that’s been said, they welcome you in the best way possible. The food in the restaurant is amazing. I believe they have an excellent chef and no, you don’t pay a high ticket price. Afternoon tea is great and priced very reasonable. Having a wine at the lounge is my “must do” thing while I stay. And…talking about location? It’s so close to Marble Arch and Hyde Park. What else do you expect?

Victory Services Club is very nice internally and we used to go for lunch there with my Father-in-law who was ex RAF and the service is great. Apparently there is also hotel accommodation which is very good in the centre of London at not bad prices. They have really tried to commercialise this which is great and bring it up to date. Good to see it is generally busy there and people enjoy visiting and staying there. Nice place in the heart of London.

All the Staff are so friendly, helpful and efficient. Needs are anticipated in a non intrusive way. The bar is a great place for a drink, a sandwich etc and to chill out. The grill serves delicious food with a few good veggie choices on the menu. Prices very reasonable for London. If you are seeing music at Hyde Park or the Royal Albert Hall, it is ideal.

Lovely hotel in the centre of London. 2 minute walk from Oxford street which is perfect for shoppers. Excellent caring staff who attend to your needs, welcome you and help you carry your luggage. Spacious rooms, good selection of biscuits and teas. The bar is nice, although brunch options were limited for me. Very good location and very nice affordable rooms.

As a retired American veteran, my wife and I were greeted and treated with extreme kindness and professionalism. Their accommodations (with Air conditioning) and prices were extremely outstanding, especially in the center of London. Their location is great for a nice walk to Hyde Park and Kensington Palace; with Buckingham Palace a bit future away.

Stayed with the VSC for the first time in about 5 years and yet again had a great stay, staff were very friendly and could not do enough to help. The room was clean and comfortable and breakfast in the morning was lovely. For the price I can not complain about any part of the stay.

Carvery cold if you're put near the door on a cold day. Despite empty tables, head waiter would not move us from the gale. The Carvery chefs were all lovely, smiling and helpful and the food was good with at least 4 choices per course.

This is the one advantage we ex-Forces people have, bought for us by Mr Churchill, so we'd have somewhere at which to let out hair down in London - or have a civilised stay in the metropolis. But it's now become more like a hotel and advertises packages to get people staying at prices which are pretty much same these days as "normal" hotels in the area. But I ran a couple of fun parties there, for which the staff were really friendly, and everyone else totally supportive of merriment.

Good value city centre accommodation, but a fair amount of odd balls about the place. If you are in the bar be prepared for some tasty chat about the Holocaust, Stalin, the Jews, A-rabs, the amount of white faces visible outside or similar. Other than that, decent.

A private club with membership restricted to serving and former Commonwealth military. Both officers and other ranks welcome. Our double en-suite was modern, bright, air conditioned, offered good free wifi and, importantly, was very quiet. (I understand some rooms adjoining Edgeware Road can suffer from traffic noise). One thing I found noteworthy was that the bedroom was fitted with eight power points (in addition to those used for fittings such as bedside lights,TV). In most hotel bedrooms you are struggling to find spare power points to plug in your laptop, phone and camera chargers. I know, don't tell me ... first world problems 😱. On the downside: no fridge or safe in the room, though ice is available from the bar (when open) and valuables can be lodged in a safety deposit box with the duty manager. A major downside for us was the room was rather small - perfectly OK for those spending a couple of nights in town, but we were here for 12 days on a segment of a long tour and were encumbered by 4 large suitcases we were trekking around the world. Secondly, as we had already been on the road for a month and a half, I was disappointed there were no washing machines for guest use. Yes, there is a laundrette about 2 blocks away, but if you research it, you wouldn't go near the place, The only meals we had here were breakfasts: offering a most varied buffet. Unfortunately some of the hot dishes were over cooked and had sat in the bain marie for too long. Good quality nevertheless. The bar area is large, but somewhat sterile and also noisy due to the accoustics - hardly cosy. Perhaps the major plus of the Membership is the high quality of all staff, both back office (Membership and Reservations) and front of house. (The bar and concierge staff deserve especial mention). I am now faced with a quandary for our next visit to London: VSC for its location, excellent staff and ease of access: or Union Jack Club, for its washing machines, slightly better breakfasts, but more difficult access for those with mobility problems? A difficult choice awaits.

Fantastic hideaway just a few hundred yards from Hyde Park Corner and the heart of London. Excellent menu and friendly staff.

You certainly can't beat the location! Right on the outskirts of the Congestion zone, we were able to park the car at the nearby (5 min walk) garage and have our ticket validated at the front desk for half price. The rooms in which we stayed (we have two daughters) were not yet upgraded, so no Air Conditioner and no phone and it had a very small bathroom with only a tub - no shower. With that said, the accommodations were certainly adequate and the breakfast in the morning (make sure your room rate includes this) was superb! Once the larger "family" rooms are upgraded, I can certainly see giving the VSC 4 or 5 stars. By the way, the concierge was fantastic, as were the desk attendants. The second night we were in London, we simply stayed out in Stratford at the Holiday Inn Express for half the price, a decent breakfast (certainly no lack of food there either), and good bus/tube access to downtown.

My wife and I have stayed at the club on several ocations and we have received the very best of attention from all the staff and this can not be faulted, we have also stayed at several different hotels in London and found that (A) the service was not as good and (B) the costs were higher and the value for money was left wanting. I promote the club to all my ex-service friend's and will continue to do so.

Lovely members only hotel hidden very near Hyde Park. The hotel offers simple private rooms for a cost effective stay. Similar in some respects to a hostel, bathroom/toilet facilities my be ensuite or a short trip down the hall. Included in room cost is a fantastic hot and cold breakfast in a well serviced dining room. The only short coming for VSC is the shortage of available street parking (or any parking in the immediate area). The nearest parking is at the Q-park. VSC will validate your parking ticket, dropping the garage fare by 50%.
