Reviews of Mustard Tree
I've been going here for the food club since around January, they now allow you to walk round and select your own items. I find this a lot better as I felt it was quite embarrassing to stand there asking for different items.
The furniture shop is also brilliant, I have not purchased from here yet, but I often look around the items in stock. they have great prices on things like Sofas, beds, wooden furniture, TVs and other electrical items.
An asset to the local community.
Really nice staff. The building has been refurbished. A good place to volunteer and pick up new skills if you haven't got any work experience. They have an Art Class for the Picassos out there. You can also learn to play the guitar. There is also a shop where you can buy all sorts.
Had a bed delivered for an elderly gent. Tuesday 15/02/22. Such good prices.
Two lovely young gents delivered and even assembled it for me.
Fantastic service.
Came in few weeks ago Proper quality gear for your gaff, volunteers were welcoming and we're great to talk too. Doin a great job please keep up the good work shout out to the bald guy behind the till and the lady with the grey silver hair proper cheered me up on a bad day left wiv a smile on my face after talkin to them will deffo be coming back what a mint place keep it up Rkids
Donated 2 sofas to these guys. Very friendly, collected on time and kept me informed throughout. Will definitely donate again, thank you.
Very nice and friendly people. Special mention to Brigette & Anthony and also the other staffs there were all nice and very accomodating.
Love going here cheap good things and great people
Whenever or whatever situation I've been in especially mentally the staff at the mustard tree have made time and helped me regardless its the only place I can truly open up thank you to all those at the mustard tree I wouldn't be where I am today and have a gorgeous daughter without their help
Visited this place back in 2017 while I was volunteering for Brentwood Day Centre in Middleton. They have a lot of decent second hand stuff and the staff are very friendly.
Always a bargain when I come here as I've nearly refurbished our home with second hand furniture which is always in great condition
A brilliant charity shop with lots of very good quality second-hand furniture at reasonable prices. Recently purchased three large items with home delivery, and was massively impressed with the service from start to end. Keep up the amazing work!
Absolutely fabulous place and wonderful staff, there are a very small minority of unpleasant visitors but nothing compared to those in my local Tesco!
As I volunteer I can only beg the folks of Manchester to come thru the door. We sell clothes furniture and electronics. We offer a wide range of courses from computer confidence to ESOL and art club. Our brief is to support those in times of strife in Manchester and we are very very good at it.
Very great place for everyone who needs help. For a very long time I had to sleep on the street and here they helped me with housing. People here can also make contact with people and learn.
Good from Francis haggan from Manchester irlam UK 🇬🇧 and God bless 🙌
Friendly place, helpful staff and for a good cause.sell second hand furniture which is clean and usable.l visit often and get value for money.
Would recommend this to anyone trying to buy items cheaply to fill your home.
I've furnished my whole house with items from here it's lasted me for years now and if I upgrade anything I donate my old one to rehelp others.
All in a good cause to help the homeless and less fortunate
Mustard tree has nice stuff very affordable and it’s quite a nice place with polite stafff
Awesome space giving so much help to the homeless community. We used a room there for a meeting and had lunch there. Beautiful food too
Great for anyone on low income to buy clothing an household items cheaper than usual 2nd hand stores
Excellent in many ways. They offer support to broad range of people. Homeless, unemployed, have a food bank. Second hand shop. Offer courses
best sofa I've ever had!
We donated food etc for the less fortunate. Really nice people.
Caring and compassionate staff and volunteers. Great working team atmosphere. Everyone a player, with genuine heart and commitment. And my sheltie, Kai wholeheartedly agrees. Despite the occasional iffy hat...well, I've gotta blame somethin' for the blip! :)
Good place for cheap second hand goods
Love the new place. Can really see how there is a holistic approach to rehabilitation and back to work for each person. Long waiting list to be accepted to the project but good project to be on. Perhaps more funding or donations might help reduce the waiting list? Worth popping in just for the cafe and second hand store. Support a worthy cause.
Have been doing fortnightly collections on my street for Mustard Tree during pandemic and the staff at Mustard Tree have been supportive and grateful they are offering a life saving service to the community members needing a hand at that time in these hard times.
I see the community being treated with care and dignity and the food parcels being distributed to those not able to collect themselves please do not forget to support Mustard Tree when this present crisis is over people will still be in need
We rent a room cheap prices
Great place to visit cheap second hand furniture, but a good life still in the furniture if just starting out and limited funds
Such a real Good Team here at the Mustered Tree.
Thay are very helpful,
An always willing to help you.
What these people do for the community is immeasurable. Hats off to them all!
Have been doing fortnightly collections on my street for Mustard Tree during pandemic and the staff at Mustard Tree have been supportive and grateful they are offering a life saving service to the community members needing a hand at that …

Always a bargain to be had! The staff here are always extra friendly and happy to help. Definitely worth a visit if your in the area.
It's very good place to shopping second hand
Fantastic charity doing vital work to help people in our City.
Lots of different stuff, easy to get to, helpful staff and it's for charity, what's not to like?...
This is the place to come if you need a food parcel or you have been homeless or at risk of being homeless. they can help you if your on the street, if youve got a new place they can supply you with discounted furniture and they even do meals for those rough sleepers. I havent personally accessed these services but I went there with someone I was helping who was usung them and I have to say these guys should be applauded for what they do
The organization, which is unique in its services to refugees, also offers Food Club at £ 2.5 for 10 different food pieces
They are doing great job for homeless people. By offering clothes, food as well as offering space to sleep. This charity accepts clothes, furniture, toys, books, electronics as donation then sell it at reasonable price to generate donation.
This shop is filled with some great bargains - I purchased a chic style mirror from here for only £15. It was really good quality too! There are some items which need a little TLC but for anyone wanting to take on a tittle project its perfect. It is all for a good cause as its run by a homeless charity,
Such a real Good Team here at the Mustered Tree.
Thay are very helpful,
An always willing to help you.
Dropped some donations off for a friend of ours. The staff were very polite and welcoming. Had a look at furniture for sale and purchased 2 items. The staff loaded it onto my car for me, nothing was too much trouble. Will call again. Thanks.
Good na meetings
Fantastic charity doing vital work to help people in our City.
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The service offered is brilliant. The value of the furniture offered is excellent.
What these people do for the community is immeasurable. Hats off to them all!
Mustard tree is an awesome place they help people on benefits with cheap stock that they otherwise couldn't afford
Volunteers do great work here. I expected it to be dark and dingy like Oliver twist. People coming in for food were all grateful for what they got
Good job
Main entrance situated down the side of the building, very friendly and helpful staff when dropping off donations.
An often overlooked charity that works very hard to cater to everybody. Mustard Tree is one of the cheapest places in Manchester to buy second-hand furniture from, and their paperback books are just 20p. Don't be too harsh on their van drivers, they only have 3 vans to cover the whole of Manchester!
This is a fantastic space. I was there to check out the second hand furniture but there's so much more going on here. Check out the Mustard Tree website for more information.
The Mustard Tree is staffed by dedicated people who really want to make an improved difference to people's lives. Everyone is approachable, friendly, understanding and non-judgemental. It is a pleasure to be associated with such a caring organisation.
Either for those wishing to volunteer or people who are a bit down on their luck, the Mustard Tree provides a much needed resource in the centre of Manchester: Whether it's for affordable pre-owned furniture, cheap shopping to make ends meet or just a cup of tea, check out the Mustard Tree.
Does a lot of good for the homeless.
Sometimes i just like to have a quick look at other part's of manchester so i can find an address or some time's when the job centre has reffered someone to mustard tree. That's why some time's i like looking on google to googling map's so i can give direction's to a reciptiant from time too time. I just some time's like to help people and giving advice on what buses to get to mustard tree the charity.
Great place to volunteer. Feed and socialize with the homeless and less fortunate. Newly renovated building. Shop on ground floor other events training opportunities and facilities
It's all about helping the community. With anything from benifts.houseing.furniture.food shop.cafe.most helpful in all areas plus they have classes that get you out of the house. Give um a try.👍👍👍👍👍
We furnished the entire downstairs of our house from Mustard tree and could not be happier. The people that delivered our furniture could not have been more helpful and it's a fantastic charity!
I've only spoke to them , very helpful , nice and polite
Fantastic place for people in need. Very helpful like a family. The shop isn't to bad either.

Got a fabulous sideboard and chest of drawers from here. Such good condition and so cheap! All for a good cause too
Charity for the needy but also a place to grab a bargain. They sell clothes and furniture.
Need help because you can't afford anything - a good place to go for help and advice.
Great place to find a bargain that goes towards a great cause, staff are always friendly and willing to help. Keep it up!
Because the mustard tree care about the people off Manchester if you have any on wanted stuff please give it with a warm heart together we can make a different god bless you all in Jesus name !!!!!!
Well worth a walk around if pre-loved is your thing. Books, cd, dvd, bric-a-brac, household furniture - this place has got it all. It is cheap, you are doing your bit for recycling and the profits go to help disadvantaged people in the area.
Mustard tree, they do a fantastic job on most, the discounts and all the support is substantial except, for one thing, they are deficient in assisting customers who bought their stuff.
Great place lovely staff and really does do a lot for the community along with plenty more
