We had Bill come out this morning to help with what we thought was a small issue, to find that it not only was not that straight forward but that there was more underlining issues.
Instead of ignoring these, Bill talked me through them and advised on what we could do. Kept me in the loop and didn't once make me feel I had no idea what was going on.
We then discussed an issue we are experiencing with the bath and he not only checked this but has raised the issue to be completed another day, as he couldn't do the job today. He also noticed an issue we have been having with the front door (but was unsure it was an actual issue) and again, he not only showed me what was wrong but again fixed it!
He has been absolutely amazing! Not only as am employee as Grand Union but as a human being that is dedicated to his job and his clients.
I cannot thank him enough.

This is the first time I've had an experience with renting from a housing Association Grand Union is a very good company they're very helpful and explain everything so clearly it's easy. The women dealing with the property was amazing cannot fault her it was done efficiently and had a great experience , viewing the house there was things everywhere and we couldn’t touch anything as paint was drying so must of missed alot. the trades men was obviously rushed in the job and there is many damaged unfinished areas there are windows that don’t close once opened making me worried about security and heating , a gas pipe in the lounge dangerous taps in the bathroom and new flooring that doesn’t fit around areas where the water will get to and cause further damage and hidden large cracks under the thick wallpaper.there are a few more but we will just get along and fix them ourselves.
Not great for a family with not a lot trying to make a safe home for there children. I’m grateful for a home and will cherish it just disappointed that I feel alittle uneasy about the safety.

A very pleasant gentleman called to fix drains as there was a terrible smell. The manhole was not secure of which he sorted and checked all other drains around the house which some were blocked.

Absolutely wonderful housing association. I have been a tenant for 3 years. The support has been above and beyond. They have helped me with so many things, financially, training, wellbeing and to help filllg in complicated forms when I have needed it. As I am disabled and money is tight they even helped me get some food. The properties are lovely and well looked after too. The staff are amazing big shout out to Elliott, Matt and Jean . The only thing I am not keen on is it would be great if tenants knew who there designated housing officer was. It would beneficial if tenants were contacted perhaps 6 monthly at least to just check if things are ok. As some residents don't realise who there housing officers are. Especially the elderly, disabled or even people who are struggling., especially after the pandemic. However, staff are always very helpful whenever I have contacted. Not sure if she is still my housing officer but Lisa was absolutely fantastic when I needed help getting adaptions for my bungalow. Highly recommended them

Wow what a service. I reported a leak in the kitchen under the sink and a leak from the cistern in the toilet Saturday evening. Not only was I given a date to choose from but a choice of time also. Plumber came Tuesday morning. within an hour all was said and done. To say I’m impressed is an understatement. Thank you grand union housing. This sort of service is so rare nowadays! Thanks again.

My bath tap had gone from a few constant drips to a slightly faster constant dripping within 2 weeks, I went onto the above website to report the fault and a date was fixed for 2 days later, which i thought was quite quick, i booked a time slot for convenience too. On the day , i received an automated phone message to say the contractor was on their way to my address, which i thought was very helpful, the gentleman explained who he was and what he was at my door for, and had fixed my problem tap within minutes. He was polite, tidy and i am very pleased with the job that was done, and no more dripping tap! 😊😊😊

I initially gave GUHG a one star when asked to respond to my experience with them because I had based it on an online fiasco that was totally disheartening and frustrating. However, as soon as I contacted them by phone (a long wait but worth it) the woman I spoke to regarding my plumbing repair (the one that had been so dire to book online) was fantastic. She upgraded my repair status to emergency (which it definitely was even though it wasn't classified as such online) and Andrew Hartley came out to fix it the same afternoon. He was an absolute star and I cannot recommend him highly enough. A brilliant ambassador for the group. I just wish I had asked for the name of the woman who dealt with my call too because she was wonderful. Thank you GUHG ....your people are amazing (your online repair booking system less so)!!

I report for a repair on Friday online but I didn't receive any confirmation at all so I have no choice but to call and inform them for a repair instead yesterday (Wednesday).
For the Grand Union Housing Group app, I highly suggest maybe it need some updating or add some more features because it doesn't save your email and password though there’s a remember me tick box. It doesn't work!
Also, I’m not sure if they got it or received it when you report a repair as from my experienced I reported twice but there’s no confirmation if they got it.

Always polite when I call.
Whenever I do, is usually about a repair. However, after months of waiting for a repair, the quality of communications regarding that issue is incredibly poor. Its pot luck as to who you actually talk to and on what day; as to who is actually logging the correct details.
When a repair eventually gets done,it is of a very good standard in my experience. As of yet, have not had to call any contractor's back to do any repeat-repairs to any faults. Once a repair is finished its always been good.
Had many repairs done recently and when eventually completed, all were good particulary with fencing.

I was in desperate need of somewhere to live and expected to be on the housing register for a long time.....
I bid on this one place and literally got a phone call the week after.
A fantastic lady called Laura explained what I would need to do and how to do it. Through the whole process I received assistance near-enough straight away!
In the strange times that we are in there were inevitable delays. But I had constant contact and support with everything that was going on and when I would be able to move in!
When I got to view the flat the two guys (wish I could remember their names!) Were very informative about how the process would work and where I could get cheap furniture (which is a major plus!!!).
All in all I've had a very smooth move (apart from moving my stuff which really is the most stressful part lol. I know that if I have any queries etc I will be looked after.

We had a case of anti social behaviour up our road working on cars all hours constant smell of weed people coming and going all hours driving like absolute idiots and grand Union cbc amd police worked together to close the house and stop the behaviour can't fault them for there hard work domt be afraid to report these issues as it does get sorted out very happy woth the emd result kids czn now play out and be safe again

GUHG came to my rescue when I was on my knees, out of work, about to be evicted and unknowingly seriously ill. My son and I were offered a 2 bed house that greatly surpassed my expectations. They have been easy to work with and very accommodating.

Got rid of housing officers without telling us then completely changed our payment arrangement to unacceptable without consulting us. No talking to them either. Tradesmen are always moaning when they come to repair. Not great customer service.

Rubbish! They might have changed their name (which I'm sure cost a fortune which WE pay for!!) but the service hasn't improved. I always fully detail what the issue is, but this never, ever gets passed onto the contractors which wastes everyone's time.
So after posting this, I had a call from the manager and my issues were resolved with her help. She kept me informed of what was being done and I was also asked to give her a call if anything went wrong, so I am now very please to say I have upped the star levels due to this. The electrician who replaced my broken light fitting in my kitchen was very respectful and was careful to keep social distancing. He replaced the broken light quickly and cleaned up all the mess that was made taking it all away. He was very polite and I felt very at ease with him.....something that I find sometimes quite difficult ☺

Grand Union have always been prompt to respond to any problems or queries I have had.
On this occasion I was left feeling less than satisfied and also that I would be responsible for paying for a sink that is damaged in my bathroom through no fault of our own.
I can only hope that Grand Union understand that the sink had a small mark in it many moons ago (it was so tiny at first it wasn’t worth reporting!) which has developed into the crack there today over a period of time.
Surely I can’t be held responsible for something that appears to be a fault? There was no thought put into the conversation with the person I spoke with, just told I may be liable for paying for the sink. If I or a member of my family had damaged said sink I wouldn’t be wasting my time asking them to replace it!
We shall see what happens as to my next review

Had web chat with a young man called Alek who was excellent - understood immediately the problem, said he would do something about it and he did; unfortunately he was the start of the chain, and from there on it went plummeting downhill to the extent I felt obliged to submit a formal complaint which, I assume, went to their Head Office. In fairness to them, my brother [who the complaint was on behalf of] did get a call from them on the first occasion of their return to work, saying the complaint was being dealt with and he would get a further call back when it was sorted. Ha! I have now had a request to submit feedback 'now that your complaint has been resolved'. Has it? that's news to me! - not to my knowledge - nobody has been in touch with me and none of the questions I asked have been answered. I cannot speak for other areas, but if you are in the Milton Keynes area - don't hold your breath on getting even reasonable customer services - I really don't think they know the meaning of the word - what's more, I don't believe they even care.

So I needed to chase the builder to complete a task they had started, I was unable to find a number so I used the GUHG website and used the online chat facility (this was more convenient as I was on a conference call at the time) it immediately connected and in no time I was chatting to “Jake”. I explained my problem and Jake was able to chase the builder there and then (he asked me to hold for a couple of ticks whilst he did this) within a minute Jake had touched base with the contractor and arranged a return phone call that day. Easy peasy. The good thing about online chat means the operator is able to deal with several customers at once rather than one at a time on a phone line. That way there’s no queue as such.

After many months of problems, having received several varying and contradictory progress reports on my wife's proposed care necessities and future, residential needs I finally managed to contact your allocations manager, Angie Ward, and was able to discuss the current situation via telephone conversation and was met with a very helpful and informative chat.

I have nothing but good things to say about Grand Union Housing Association. I am a single disabled mum who has needed extra support and this has been no problem. I was given a support worker Mrs Katy Tutcher who has worked so hard to help me, nothing is to much trouble. She has been patient, kind and extremely supportive to the point I really don't know how I would have got through the last few weeks without her. I have found all departments in the association to be extremely helpful and understanding.

The call handler I spoke to today confirmed that the prior call from GUH was completely incorrect that my housing benefit was cancelled in January and I'm not in fact going to lose my home due to rent arrears as it's been paid as normal. Spent the weekend in acute anxiety for nothing but relieved none the less. I accept mistakes can happen but this was quite a big one. Giving 5 stars as the handler was nice and efficient and has stopped me having a complete break down!
