Child-faced villain Mary Bell: 11-year-old girl murdered and brutally mutilated the victim's body.
Many of us always believe that children have pure, holy souls. However, there are times when the story is not what people think. The name Mary Flora Bell, the 11-year-old evil child who strangled two children to death in the Scotswood area, Newcastle, England, has made people believe in evil people with baby faces.
Harsh childhood
Mary Bell was born into an unhappy family and had no love from her parents. The girl's father, Billy Bell, had been in prison and was not often home. He often left Mary bell in the care of relatives. In fact, many people do not know if he is Mary's biological father as her mother, Betty Bell, was a prostitute with sadomasochistic syndrome. She also sold her daughter and forced her to serve customers for sex since Mary was 4 years old.
Mary grew up with many signs of aggression and cruelty. She regularly tortured animals and "massaged" children in the playground by strangling them.
Despite her violent tendencies, Mary is quite intelligent and has an admirer, Norma Bell. The 13-year-old girl describes herself as quite dim and not as smart as Mary.

Tragic death of two children
According to police reports, Mary Bell committed her first crime completely alone. Although Mary's friend Norma Joyce Bell was also investigated, the court later decided she was innocent in the first case.
On May 25, 1968, two boys playing on the second floor of an abandoned house discovered the body of 4-year-old Martin Brown. The children were with Mary and Norma Bell. When the police arrived at the scene, they noticed suspicious signs of the two girls.
A clear cause of death was not found and it was confirmed that Martin Brown had mistakenly swallowed sleeping pills from an old bottle lying nearby.

On May 26, 1968, Normal Bell's father discovered Mary strangling his daughter. He entered the room and slapped Mary and then sent her home.
On July 31, 1968, another boy was found dead of suffocation. The victim this time is 3-year-old boy Brian Howe. Both Mary and Norma were at the scene when police arrived.

The poor 3-year-old boy had part of his hair cut off, his legs slit, and his penis was destroyed and removed with a blade.
When asked about the reason for killing Brian, Mary said: "Brian Howe doesn't have a mother, so no one remembers him."
When they interviewed Mary Bell, they learned that they had found the murderer.
On December 5, 1968, Mary and Norma Bell had to appear in court in connection with the deaths of Martin Brown and Brian Howe.

Identities are concealed
On December 17, 1968, Norma Bell was acquitted of all charges. However, she was not given a new identity but was sent to live in a slum with her family. Norma's parents had to work very hard to protect their family from the press and media.
Mary Bell was charged with murder and sent to Red Bank - a prison for children, where Jon Venables, another notorious British child villain, the mastermind in the murder of baby James Patrick, was detained.

Mary Bell once escaped from prison with the help of some people from the outside.
Mary Bell was imprisoned for 12 years and was released at the age of 23. She was then given a new identity by the government, allowing her to start a new life with a new name.
4 years later, Mary had a daughter and she knew nothing about her mother's dark past. It wasn't until 1998 that Mary's identity was discovered by the press, forcing her to leave the house where she was living. After that incident, Mary Bell's daughter was also given a new identity.

The identities of Mary Bell and her daughter remain confidential and not many people know what their lives are like now.
