L. G.As for 'not being for outsiders' Michael Blacklock, my Dad+I were both in the music society here 43yrs ago. We were from Benton+were accepted into the crowd willingly. A lot of my friends are still here+reckon there's absolutely no difference. I don't have my Dad now+I live in Washington so it's a bit far for me to go. However they're still the same lovely friendly bunch they were before.

I. N.Great little community centre. Could do with more parking, though this is likely unachievable due to the space available.
J. C.I go to the art club on a Monday 1230 - 1500 great friendly group always makes new comers welcome. I go to the craft group on a Thursday evening 1830-2030 we have a mixture of crafts done in the group great socializing and have a good laugh.
D. P.Taekwondo classes Friday 18.00 . First session free to see if you like it . £20 a month there after . Age 6 to 99 . 3rd Dan instructing . Excellent fun , good for fitness , concentration , strength building , selfdefense , confidence , team work . Parking available Disability friendly.
S. R.Very well appointed and free library for all users Truthseekers meetings regularly busy in different parts of centre Short distance from the Walkergate metro and No 1 bus stops outside though it is a long trip from the city centre or Gateshead due to congestion
