Beautiful tiny little gem of a park opposite, Basford Miners Welfare. Hidden local treasure, well maintained, peaceful and almost a secret.

Attended a funeral here and the set up was very good. only issue with so much people at the funeral they should have had more people working the bar instead of just two.

Made to feel very welcome. Great parking. We went for a private doo and drinks prices were very reasonable. The only bad thing was that the buffet food was already out when we arrived at 6.30pm but we didn't eat until 8pm. The food was covered, but I have no idea how long it was out for at room temperature.

Great venue for dancing, pity it isn't on there on Thursdays anymore. Always enjoyed the place every time we visited.

They hold different gigs which is great. But the price of the drinks do not apply to the Miners Welfare. It is more expensive so less drinks are being bought.Re think this please committee. Also there used to be a 50/60/70's night once a month.it was a great night with the groups shown on screen. That has now been dropped and it is such a disappointment to all its followers.please re think your decision and also apply for catering and bring back the lovely cobs you used to sell.

Nice venue with a good size function room. The air conditioning wasn't working when I was there as photographer for a friend's wedding, being one of the hottest days on record it was somewhat unbearable.

Tucked away from the main road through a modern housing estate, its a brilliant place to hold a wedding reception or any large celebration. Parking is available and there's plenty of it. Recommended.

Don't worry about the name - miners' welfare. This refurbished conference and party venue is very good. Excellent function room with big dance floor and friendly bar staff.
