Saved our cat George, whom we had adopted around 5 years ago. George's chip was scanned and his details came up in Brin'sley. They made sure he was cared for until we could return him home. Thanks again to John and Gale, best Hugh

I was so impressed by this rescue. Finding an injured woodpigeon in my garden, that wasn't helped by my greyhound pushing it around before I found it (blessedly with his muzzle on in his own garden bless him for the sake of wildlife) I phoned them for advice and they called me back, giving me informative advice about the best course of action. Even though I'm not local to Brinsley, they took time to suggest what to do and which wildlife rescues may be able to help. I felt listened to and they are obviously very knowledgeable about helping wildlife. Thankfully there is no sign of the pigeon now and it appears to have flown off.

We found an injured wood pigeon in our garden, I rang the vets for advice and they gave me the number for Brinsley Animal Rescue.
We booked the little guy in for the following morning, they were really helpful with advice on how to look after him while he was in our care.
We had "Pedro" as my daughter named him, in a dog cage, gave him food, water and followed the advice given. Relieved he had made it through the night we took him to be admitted.
A lovely lady met us outside, she carefully and confidently handled "Pedro" and very easily diagnosed his issues.
Sadly they had to put him to sleep but I was still grateful for the care they showed.
I can honestly say that the people I spoke to were lovely and I am reassured that if I ever came across an animal in need, they would be the first people I called.
Note- you do need to call and book in, you cannot just turn up with an animal in need.

All volunteers looking after wildlife. They have been great in helping with the hedgehogs we get in our garden and surrounding area. All support is appreciated.

I found a sickly vole that looked like she wasn’t going to make it. I called Brinsley animal rescue and they were extremely helpful. I felt like they genuinely cared and wanted to do what was best for her. With the instructions I was given, I was able to nurse her back to health in two days and she will be released first thing tomorrow morning. Thank you so much!

Love these guys, your work is amazing and so many animals live their best lives ❤

Jon and Beth are incredible. I contacted them about an injured pigeon and after a long hard day, they made her and me very welcome. Not only did their volunteers make me feel as though the pigeon was in the very best place possible but, Jon gave my daughter and I loads of his time. All this after a whole day working in the fields!!! It is thanks to people like this that so many animals get to live the life they deserve. 🐎🐄🐑🐖💚

Arrived in rain but warm reception and after a little confusion we found our new rabbit to console bereaved Rabbit at home. We hadn't intended to pick up that day so had not brought carrier. No problem, lent one by Staff and hour later Delilah is at home safe and sound. Great customer experience and service.

Contacted rescue as I had heard they were the people that would help and they did.I had an injured young wood pigeon who although kept wanting to fly but could not take off ? So was stuck on my front lawn with nowhere to go (a sitting target for predators)but within an hour of telephoning the rescue was seen and diagnosed and given a 50/50 chance. Thank you.

Wonderful place! We have met Jon on a couple of occasions whilst adopting 4 rabbits through Brinsley. They do an amazing job and really do care about all their animals, they always put the animals health, happiness and welfare first. Highly recommended if you love animals and wish to give one a safe loving home, try here first!! They have a website to check out what animals are available for adoption. You have to arrange with Brinsley first if you wish to view any animal,
so would recommend calling or emailing first not just turn up. From what I remember the staff are volunteers, and have regular jobs too outside of helping at Brinsley, so just a heads up if you can't get through calling/emailing straight away give them a chance to get back in touch with you.
P.s Our 4 rabbits are doing great.

Had a hedgehog wandering around the garden this lunchtime and rang the centre. The advice was excellent, the hedgehog was under 500grams so he wouldn't survive winter. They took him in and are going to fatten him up. John says hes going to ring us when hes ready for release. Couldn't thank them enough. Please can we all try and support centres like this more

The website is simple and easy to understand, but wish the rescue centreccould have more open days. It is situated at the bottom of a residential area so very restricted parking and they have to be sensitive to their neighbours' needs as well as their own. Great and worthy cause they are supporting.

We contacted Brinsley as we had an injured bird in our garden. They called us back and made an appointment ( they will only see you by appointment, no walk in's) and had a look at the bird.
This was on a Sunday so we were no expecting this really.
They were very knowledgeable and suggested what care we could administer. For a small charity to offer this level of support especially on a weekend we can't say enough good things about them. Lovely team and extremely helpful.

This place is an awesome home and literally a life-saver to lots of beautiful animals. All the animals have their own stories as to why they have ended up at Brinsley. Many have been neglected, injured, abused or simply not wanted. They all get 5* veterinary attention and are cared for by the most selfless, compassionate, caring, kind, dedicated ANGELS, who give them not only the care they need but also the love and attention they need too. Many of the animals get re-homed but many end up staying and NONE get put down. I highly recommend going to one of the open days, not only to see some of the residents but also for the amazing vegan cakes! Please support Brinsley Animal Rescue in whatever way you can - This is a charity that is totally dependent on donations to keep this heaven on earth for the animals going.

We called this morning as we'd found a hedgehog trapped in the lining of a picnic blanket in the shed, the lovely lady we spoke to stayed other phone for ages while we got him out and gave us all the advice we needed and helped us through the whole thing. Thank you again. We needed someone who knew what to say and you did.

Thank you so much for taking an injured Magpie on Sunday. The poor thing was in our garden being stalked by our neighbour’s cats . We managed to catch it but it had a nasty scratch on its head and eye. We kept it in a cat carrier overnight in the hope it would be ok, however it was still very traumatised the next day. AARU contacted you on our behalf and arranged for me to bring the bird over to you. Everyone was so nice, thank you and keep up the good work. You do a wonderful job

Wonderful rescue centre for all animals wild and farmed. All animals are treated as equally worthy of respect and care. It is wonderful seeing farmed animals like pigs and cows having the lives they deserve instead of living wretched deprived lives in concentration camp conditions on farms until the trip to the slaughter.

This is a brilliant animal rescue.I took a poor injured hedgehog there recently and although it very sadly had to be put to sleep the lady I saw was so kind.It is a very clean welcoming place and if I find any more animals in need I will definitely take them there. They really care and u feel u r in expert hands.Thank u Brinsley.

Found a 3 week old squirrel uninjured, but in a bad way. After ensuring the mother was not coming back, I decided to take it in and make it comfortable though not expecting it to survive for very long. However, he recovered well by the next day. I had no idea how to look after him, so I contacted Brinsley rescue centre. They couldn't take him in, but the gentleman who returned my call was extremely helpful. Early days, but so far, so good. So thank you very much. I advise anyone in a similar situation to seek professional advice like I did as there are so many conflicting methods on Google, some are good, but the one I followed was wrong.

Wonderful place, dedicating themselves to looking after injured and rescued animals on very low income. They rely on volunteers and donations. Well worth your support and visit on one of their open days!

We took an injured hedgehog here. Fantastic care and knowledge from the staff. We left a donation as we were so grateful and could see how hard they work.

Excellent advice this morning about a possible injured swan. Cannot thank the guy on the phone enough. Highly recommend, everyone should support independent local rescues.

This is heaven on earth for so called "farm animals" who are saved from slaughtering. Owners Beth and Jon are fantastic. All animals are adoptable - rabbits, geese, ponies, sheep, hens... This place is like the world should be.

It's a charity that takes in animals but not cats and dogs. They have their own space approx 4 acres. Volunteers to help them with this task.
