D. C.A beautiful Buddhist temple which is cared for by 3 wonderful Sri Lankan monks. I attend for meditation and study.
r. c.This is a Buddhist temple, in an ordinary house, in a very tight cul-de-sac, with very limited parking may be for up to 5 cars. Devotees are mainly Sri Lankans as are the monks. Services are conducted in Sinhala most of the time, but the chief incumbent can & do deliver in English when the occasion calls for. There is a free Buddhist mediation session around 6pm for about 40mins most Sundays (pls call before travelling), with guidance in English &/or Sinhala (there is a similar monthly meditation session at Carlton Scroop, Lincs., usually on a Saturday afternoon towards the end of the month). Spiritual Buddhist philosophy may be discussed in English (Head monk) or Sinhala.
