Despite lockdown the Walton Lea partnership is still working well with their students.
They have a lot of their items on facebook which consist of some beautiful homemade Christmas craft items at very reasonable prices. They can be ordered online then collected and paid for instore.
I have always recieved a warm and friendly welcome by both staff and adult students alike.

This is an great place to visit! The setting of the walled garden is amazing and there are loads of unique things to see and buy from upcycled bikes and furniture to crafts and plants. The work that is done here with the adults during the week sounds amazing and we were told there is a waiting list for places. The tea room is quirky and cosy and the cakes take some beating especially the coffee and walnut. The staff are kind and friendly and very enthusiastic. This is truly a hidden gem and well worth your support!

This was a fab place for an afternoon out. Tea and cake available. Reasonable range of plants, but where they really excelled in were refurbished bikes and upcycling of furniture. Lovely World War 1 display too. Great project with a fab soul to it.

I had passed by here literally dozens of times and never visited. I will certainly go back again, some very unusual gifts available in the shop and a selection of reasonably priced plants for sale along with home grown fruit. It was nice to sit in the garden with a cold drink enjoying the peace and quiet of the place. Lots of good work being done here, long may it continue.

This is one of those places where you can visit, relax and forget about the world. I think decent walled gardens have that affect anyway. But this place oozes relaxation for me. Walking around the planted beds with vegetables and flowers. You could sit there all day and noone would bat an eyelid. There is a cafe selling drinks and cakes. A bicycle renovation section and a furniture section. The shop sells produce grown in the garden as well as products sourced locally. Of course, the project has a real reason for existing, and this is to help disabled people from all backgrounds. By teaching skills they would otherwise not get, they can build a wealth of knowledge and more importantly, have a sense of belonging. Brilliant place!

If you like upscaled quality furniture or even if you want to have a go yourself this place has lots of choice at reasonable prices. If you just want to relax in a large authentic Victorian walled garden with a tea or coffee, this is chilled and laid back ideal to view and even purchase plants. There are also a selection of used bikes for sale. All this and you will be supporting a local charity... Excellent

We've been to Walton Lea Project and also their sister site on Long Lane on numerous occasions now. It's a charity who provide individual focused learning, development of skills and supported employment to adults with Learning Disabilities and Learning difficulties.
They have a lovely selection of plants and garden items that the adults have made alongside a fantastic idea of people who have donated old bikes and they get them road safe again and sell them on to raise funds. Always worth a look at both sites before buying from elsewhere. They also sell furniture, upcycled items, crafts, produce from the Victorian walled gardens and flowers too.
All can be finished off with a lovely cup of tea in the cafe.
Open Monday to Friday, 10am till 4pm (both sites) and Walton Lea also open at the weekends too.
Well worth a visit!!!!!
