Went here as it was one of the venues for the 2022 Watford Jazz Junction music festival. I went to the main auditoria which has a large wide stage and very comfortable tiered seating. The sound was excellent, in fact a lot better than many others I have been to, and the lighting was good as well.
There is a large entrance with a room to one side that had a food offering though I did not try it but looked good and seemed healthy compared to the fried offerings many places have. In addition there was a bar that a good variety of drinks.
Toilets were clean and everything worked plus there was soap, makes a change..
The venue also has a car park and Watord High Street station is close by and Bushey not much further.
Overall an excellent venue

Entirely enjoyable evening, hilarious at times. The ending was perfect. No draught beer but a good selection of bottles. Worth another shot .

Ha e always enjoyed my experience at the Pump House Theatre. I have been attending shows here for over 30 years. The performances are always first class and the facilities improve all the time. A great amdram theatre!

The Jazz Club on Thursday nights is the BEST. Live music, different band each week, friendly people. The kind of place you can go alone and not feel out of place.

Visited The pump house for the first time last week, its a lovely theatre with a small bar, the staff are all very friendly & make you feel welcome, will definitely go back.

I had the best night, loved the band and the atmosphere. Very welcoming, friendly and definitely I will be going back. Also, happened to be my birthday and was absolutely amazing. Best birthday, thank you. ❤🎺🎵

Always a delight to visit here. I go for any of the amateur theatrical performances here from the various companies that appear. It small and intimate and so often unlike big theatres you feel almost on the stage and so close to the action. A good bar and good parking on site or in a retail park 100 yards away. It makes an excellent evening out with far far less stress and expenses with going into London. I really should also attend the other activities in the building. If you have not been before do check it out.

Nice place to watch interesting plays
The actors are incredible

What a fantastic little theatre. A nice small cozy bar area and a lovely old feel to the building.

Small, intimate theatre for the family. Easy parking. No aircon!

The Belmont players performed like pros. A very enjoyable evening.

Saw the Youth Theatre production of Social Dis-dance-sing last week - amazing performances and hugely entertaining. A proper community group and we will be back for the next show. 👍

Small theatre, but friendly atmosphere and very good productions
M. H.
A good community theatre. Space for a variety of uses. The theatre is big enough to give atmosphere and excitement and small enough to feel intimate and part of the production. There is on site parking. The staff are friendly and very helpful. All round it provides a great flexible venue.

Great evening as always. Can never believe they are not professional actors.
K. G.
One of the best open mic events I've been to. Weekly on a Tuesday evening. Friendly atmosphere. Appreciative audience. Good bar including alcoholic and hot drinks. Video recordings of your performance if required. Extremely good venue.
V. L.

It was great to be back. The comedy based on shirley valentine was extremely funny and lightened our mood immensley after such a long absence.

Intimate space ,good viewing, great Belmont Theatre Company
J. J.
A lovely theatre with really high quality performances. Car park is small so I suggest public transport or getting dropped off if you live far. Staff are all really friendly and there is a well priced bar inside.

Knew this place was there but first visit for a show. What a great venue and performance space.
Saw Little Shop of Horrors by CYT (I think that was the company) a youth theatre group. And they nailed it. Brilliant performance.

B. G.
Brilliant acting made this comedy show! 😊
M. H.
Great place to watch amateur theatre. Remember you can park out on the main road after 6:30pm to avoid a sometimes congested theatre car park. Bar now takes cards. Good selection of shows.
M. S.
Been here many times and seen a variety of different shows and never been disappointed amateur theatre at its best love the place and full of admiration for the people who run it

B. W.
Lovely little theatre with excellent amateur productions.

We saw "LOVE IN IDLENESS" written in 1944 by Terence Rattigan. The play was presented by the Belmont Players. It superbly done. A really enjoyable evening.
J. M.
Lovely little theatre, very compact. Lovely evening with a great play. They even have their own brew on hand pump. The only downside was there isn't step free access. There were about half a dozen steps down, the same to get to the top of the seats, then each row of seats was a step down. If you can walk with a stick you should be OK, but not wheelchairs.
W.
Amazing small theatre and the plays they put on are second to none, especially since a lot of it is run voluntarily.
K. J.
Great little venue, but the heating wasn't up to the weather. Cold
M. e.
Great atmosphere. Great for hosting plays and facilities are okay
K. C.
Great venue for medium sized productions. Comfy seats and reasonably prices bar.

Great arts centre for plays, musical theatre, jazz, comedy, morris dancing etc. Just experienced the WatFringe festival - some great acts. (a couple of ropey ones too naturally). Well worth a visit.
T. B.
Saw Our House there, fantastic young cast, brilliant night.
R. H.
Beautiful place but no air conditioning very hot and stuffy in the theatre.
S. “. H.
Busy open mic night. Ten minute slots to anyone who has put their name on the board. Easy going atmosphere and cheap bar. They will record your performance too for small fee give you a copy. Car park too.
g. w.
A local theater which provides excellent entertainment for the price. It's not London standards but it is not London prices and it was just a 15 minute walk from home
m. i.

S. d.
Really enjoyed the short film festival lovely friendly atmosphere 😁
D. B.
Cozy theatre where you are close to the action. Parking can be a challenge so get there early. Drinks are remarkably cheap!
J. A.
I’m talking about the Pump House Jazz Club - every Thursday that’s not Christmas or New Year. Terrific Trad Jazz, great rolls interesting beers to try.
Go and try if you like Jazz. Sadly no room to dance. Parking is a tad difficult
A. W.
First lesson with John Guild of the Actors Cafe, brilliant wpuld recommend it to anyone who wants to learn how to act
P. C.
Beer quality good, prices very fair, dogs allowed, but a nightmare trying to get a slot on open mic night unless you book in advance, bar staff excellent, toilets spotlessly clean.
L. F.
Superb venue. Cosy and friendly. 100% recommended
S. H.
Sweet little venue for intimate gigs, available to hire 🤗🎉🎸💃
M. T.
This a lovely self funded playhouse .with a little bar . & the local kids get a chance of stardom getting on stage .I just went to see our house. It was well produced .the kids put on a great show & some of the voices were vary good. If they get spotted they could be tomorrow's New stars .it was great fun even though I was asked by the mean man in front of me not to sing in the second half of the show even though I thought it was a sing along being full of madness songs . Go along & give it your full support & DON'T let it disappear .as this is a great benefit to the local community. For old & young to mix
B. V.
Good place. Nice petit bar. But no AC
R. S.
The Jazz was excellent, the rolls very good, parking easy and the audience very friendly. Highly recommended
R. M.
Absolutely amazing 'Our house' by the youth theatre.
p. s.
Old and dilapidated structure due to funding cuts by successive governments. Has poor parking but nearby retail park may be used at your risk as states only 3 hours free parking.
Otherwise small and good for small drama festivals etc.
T. S.
Tiny community theatre with a warm welcoming feel and comfortable seating. Seemed like every seat offered a great view of the stage. Closeness to actors gave an intimate connected feel to the performance.
R. M.
Perfect for small stage show
