Marvelous place, Coxwood has been invaluable as an outdoor space to keep our kids safe during the pandemic. Coxwood and it's volunteers provide a meeting space for the Explorers to hold socially distanced meetings in the open air.

Cox Wood Campsite is a wonderful place! Set in the most idyllic Welsh countryside, it has good facilities and is well set up to handle groups of even over a hundred. Important things first: The toilets and showers are great, hot water within seconds, and other buildings are fit to purpose. There is even a climbing wall which we were allowed to climb after a thorough safety presentation by the site owner. The site itself looks small as you approach it, but it just goes on and on through the woodland. Every small glade has something a little different to offer. The only tricky thing was approaching it from the road. There's little to no signage until you've gone up the driveway quite some way, and we accidentally went into Cox Wood Farm, who were kind enough to direct us to the correct road. I'll reiterate that: It is *not* accessed through Cox Wood Farm. Go up the road a little more and you'll find another entrance with a gravelled path.
