After receiving a very competitive quote for the conveyancing on the sale of my mums house Dan & Eloise got down to work communicating quickly with the estate agents, purchasers solicitor and keeping myself & brother in the loop at all times via hard copies when essential & emails. I was quick in replying promptly to Q&A’s and paperwork requiring signatures with Eloise communicating each stage when needed. The whole process got completed in the suggested timescale and can highly recommend the practise.

I found Tom Vaughton and Debbie from D&V highly communicative and professional. My mums flat sale went though from start to finish in 23days (normally 10 to 20 weeks) even though it was complicated by my Mum being in a home and my being her Lasting Power of attorney. I would only ever use Dodd & Vaughton for my conveyancing. Despite the last few months being extremely difficult for most conveyancers due to high demand of services and taking on more clients than they can serve, we received the highest level of client care imaginable. Responses were swifts, requests for call backs were made almost immediately and we were kept updated very frequently. The legal advice was first class and our conveyancer, Tom, did his utmost to ensure that we completed before the stamp duty holiday. Brilliant !!! I had been to Dodd & Vaughton several years ago and had a very good experience so that was the reason I went back . This time around my Conveyancer was Tom Vaughton . We entered the housing market in August 2020 ( during the pandemic ) and were due to move in midway through December 2020 , however complications arose and mid way through January due to circumstances beyond our control had to pull out and start again . Eventually we found another property and moved in just before the end of the stamp duty holiday . So , we were in the “ system “ for 9+ months. What set Tom Vaughton aside from every solicitor or Conveyancer I’d previously had dealings with was his ability to communicate quickly and clearly . That alone made a massive difference to our experience during what was an extremely stressful time . I cannot recommend Tom highly enough ( and Dodd & Vaughton ) because they were a class above the competition, so if you’re thinking who to use in future ….look no further .

Tom Vaughton was my conveyancer for my recent sale and purchase. I had used an on-line conveyancer for my last aborted sale - talking to call-centre staff, messages and emails not being responded to and never talking to the same person twice. I swore never again. Using Dodd and Vaughton was a totally different experience. I would always get an email reply the same day (usually the same hour!), could always speak to Tom on the phone whenever I wanted, & always updated me regularly via emails & phone calls. In short, excellent customer service. Tom’s actual work is very thorough, the buyers pack I was sent was very comprehensive. Any issues I had were always given immediate attention. Basically night and day compared to an on-line conveyancer. If you value piece of mind and excellent customer service I would whole-heartedly recommend Tom and his company.

However, I have worked with Dodd & Vaughton on three separate transactions and their professionalism, warmth and overall service go a long way to take the pain out of the process. During the conveyancing process we had reason to obtain Land Registry records privately in order to view the boundaries of the property we were buying. The documents showed some extra things we weren't aware of, so we asked Dodd & Vaughton what these were. Their response was for Ian Dodd to phone me and tell me 'You can do your own conveyancing if you want'. After speaking to local friends following this, it seems I should have asked for their reviews first. They appear to have a reputation for being awkward and arrogant. Wish I'd asked first.
