My partner and I have often spoken over the past 20 years about having a will in place. But life and children just kept getting in the way. So when we were recommended to Jody Coles representing My Family Legacy, it seemed like the opportunity we had been waiting for. After an initial consultation during which everything was explained very clearly, we decided to not only go ahead with our Wills, but also the Lasting Power of Attorney. We were then asked for all of the relevant information in order for these to be drawn up. At this point I should mention Jody’s remarkable patience and perseverance, as it took us a full eleven months to pull the details together and make decisions about our executors etc. However, I am glad to announce that this week the document signing has been completed. We both feel much happier to have this taken care of and now have assurance that our children’s legacy is clearly defined and fully legal. Thank you Jody, for your steady guidance and attention to detail throughout the process. I can highly recommend Jody to anyone who hasn’t yet sorted a will out, and urge you to do so for your own piece of mind..

I knew the value of having a piece of paper called a Will - I wanted to know my family knew my wishes when the day comes. What I didn't realise is that the template I downloaded a few years back was not going to cut it when the time came. Thank goodness I have the pleasure of knowing Steve Rogers of My Family Legacy. Steve was very professorial from start to finish, he made me very relaxed and explained to me what needed to be done to complete the Will. Every stage was done in a way that I could understand and act on which saved me a lot of time as I suffer from memory issues and don’t take to many people. A close family member recently needed help with their will and setting up a trust. I had met Steve Rogers of My Family Legacy at a networking event where he had presented how he helps people. TESTIMONIAL FOR STEVE ROGERS – MY FAMILY LEGACY I had assumed for many years that my Mother had an up to date and valid Will . But listening to Steve’s presentation on a number of occasions, I thought I had better check. I am so glad I did, as she actually had no legal arrangements in place. She has always been reluctant to discuss matters with anyone outside of the family, but I assured her that Steve could be totally trusted and suggested we meet with him on Zoom for an initial chat. This went very well and afterwards she said what a nice man Steve was and that she felt very comfortable with accepting his advice. Considering a will is one of the most important life administration tasks you will ever do, but not one that you put to the top of your priority list. However, considering one’s own immortality is difficult, let alone considering your better halve. My wife and I had never considered we had much to leave in a will, but a will is not only about assets and monetary wealth, especially when you have children, and this was something that never crossed our minds, until I met Steve. Steve was so considerate, kind, accommodating and most of all respectful. He worked around our family life and made a process that can be difficult, both technically and emotionally very easy to understand. He guided us, but was not forceful in his advice and he took time to understand us as the family we our and the family we will be. This ensured our will would not have to change as our family grows. You may come across many LPA and will advisors in your business and personal life, but you will not come across many individuals like Steve Rogers. Some thing you can teach and learn, other things people are born with, and Steve Rogers has the ability to take an emotional and difficult subject and make it simple and straightforward.
