My wife and I initially asked John Fowlers for a quote for conveyancing, following on from seeing an advert with the local football team and reading positive reviews. The service was extremely responsive and friendly from the moment that we requested the prices. Our initial hope was to beat the stamp duty deadline and the solicitor allocated to our case (James) did absolutely everything within his power to push this through for us. Despite a few setbacks which were outside of our control, Fowlers ensured that we were updated throughout the process and made us feel comfortable, reassured and confident in what can be extremely stressful circumstances. Was absolutely desperate when I saw a sign at Fowlers office in Colchester offering one hours free advice to victims of domestic abuse. Although I was a teacher for 24 years and completely innocent, I found myself homeless, having fled extreme violence and in desperate need of help. It is very difficult for male victims of abuse from female partners to be believed. John Fowlers and Jane Chapman in particular not only believed me but supported me through a very long and difficult process. The people they got to help me at various court hearings were also excellent. My now ex wife's attempts to get half my pension and deny she had tricked me into substantial debt to help her business utterly failed. Jane and John Fowlers literally saved my life and have enabled me to make a new start after an extremely traumatic and malicious series of events. Cant thank or praise highly enough.
