I found the process stressful and wanted to be gone of the excessive phone calls (everyday) however continued with the claim. The barrister on the day was excellent!
I received my compensation with a letter - “25% deductions for legal cost” having won in court I would assume the other party pay for the legal costs? So, I called Gavin Fox. Thanked him for all his help, for sending the cheque (after chasing them for about four weeks with no answer to emails and sorry he’s unavailable to phone calls) and asked for an explanation as for the 25% deduction. Right of the bat I was told I’m being ungrateful, followed by a few accusations towards myself. Gavin – you really didn’t have to be so rude to me, when all you need to say was that the 25% is a success fee and not a legal cost contribution.
In short – overall happy, but found Gavin very rude when all was finished with.
