My partner and I recently purchased a house using BK Gill's conveyancing services. Looked for a comparison quote online, was supplied with a quote from BK gill among 5 or 6 other solicitors. Mani from BK Gill called me the next day (the only one of the firms to pick up the phone and get in touch) to check if I was happy with the quote and to retain it for when I required their services. I was advised all advice and offers were free and they would be happy to help when I got around to making a purchase. We started our search, engaged BK Gill to make offers on our behalf and they were very obliging. We were first time buyers and they were happy to simplify any information and advice to our level to assist in understanding the process, which made us very comfortable. We were using 2 Lifetime ISAs for our deposit, they had experienced this before and were on-top of the process, completed with no issues whatsoever. Throughout I found Beljit and her team to be responsive, diligent and helpful. The most reassuring factor being that they were always at the other end of the phone when required, even providing some phone advice when our mortgage advisor ran into some unrelated issues with application documents. When it came to settling our balance, I was happy that 4 months down the line, our original (very reasonable) quotation was honoured and the purchase was settled with no issues. I called BK Gill solicitors for a quote as I was selling my own property and buying a new one. I initially spoke to Mani and he was able to recommend Lewis Murphy of the Estate Agency, who came out, reduced his commission as he had been recommended by Mani at BK Gill, and carried out a free valuation and comparison report for properties in my area and arranged my home report to be done. I explained to Lewis that I did not want to put my house on the market until I had had an offer accepted on a property and that was not an issue at all. Lewis took the pictures and floor plans etc and instructed the home report. I was reassured that once I had an offer accepted all I had to do was call him and he would have the property online that day. That was exactly how it happened and he was able to achieve a sale price way over my Home report value and was a delight to deal with, ensuring that I was kept up to date on the sale of my property answering questions, even at the weekend. He also liaised with Mani at BK Gill directly making the whole sale process easy and stress free. With regards to my onward purchase, Mani again produced the goods as he gave me the number of Graham Thomson at Thomson Ferrie to help me secure a mortgage. Again this family run company was fantastic and were able to scour the lenders to find me the best mortgage product going the extra mile at every step. Again whenever Graham required any information about the purchase side he contacted Mani and vice versa taking the stress away from me completely.
