L. M.Don't be taken in by this company, read all the small print, ask questions and don't sign anything till you are satisfied. If the appointment is in your home, you have a 14 day cooling off period, otherwise you pay for their services there and then with possible penalties if cancelled!! I contacted them recently about wills and power of attorneys because of the huge advertising and 'success' stories in the newspapers. However they are not found on the Law Society of Scotland's website and I discovered (through my own lawyer, who I should have gone to in the first place) some of the things discussed regarding the contents of a will and the registering of a Power of Attorney were not correct. The price we were given for these services was much dearer than what's advertised in the newspaper and luckily I was able to cancel without penalty. The representative who came to our house was very pleasant but definitely getting a sale, in my opinion, is a top priority. Setting up these important documents with my own lawyer turned out to be far cheaper than ilaws.
M. O.My parents are at that time of life when they want to make sure that all is in order so after finding x2 wills company we made appointments for them to visit us with myself and my brother in attendance.
We both are so glad we were present because all my mother and father got was hard sell on products they did not need or asked for .We then made an appointment with Ilaws and we so happy we did .no pressure tactics and no hard sell on other products , just a genuine chat about some other things we were not aware off .we all decided to go with them and we cannot reccomend them enough for their patience and good sound advice ..many thanks
