Since the untimely passing of my father I've had a whirlwind of admin to contend with. I previously had a relationship with another legal team that were handling my fathers estate however due to a lack of compassion and general lack of effort on their part I felt I needed to find another legal team to help me out. I found Anglo French Law online and have never looked back. They have been supportive, compassionate, proactive and have gone above & beyond to make the process of succession as simple and painless as possible whilst remaining sensitive to its nature. Couldn't rate them higher.
Thanks for all your help

In March 2014 we saw an apartment in the French Alps in a village we had visited for some 8 years for sale. By using Anlglo French Law we had purchased the the apartment by April 2014. The whole process was made simple and stress free by Marcel. He also saved us money during the purchase with his expert advice. We have passed on Marcels details to friends who have also had assistance in French matters from Marcel.
We contacted Anglo French Law yesterday 19/10/2021 and spoke with Marcel over some advice we needed regarding an issue with some stairs outside our apartment. We are in a ‘Syndic de copropriétée.’ I found Marcel as helpful as ever explaining our course of action in order to address the issue. His explanation was detailed in what we needed to do next and made easy to understand, Thank you to Marcel and Anglo French Law for taking time out after some 7 years since purchase in making time to speak with me. Kind Regards, Lou and Marie S.

I cannot recommend AngloFrench Law more highly, they are amazing! If you are buying a house in France their fixed fee is worth it’s weight in gold! Don’t believe the chat that you just need a notaire, that is rubbish! These guys are professional, helpful and above all else on your side!
On a personal note I would just like to thank Marcel as without him I’m not sure I would own my lovely French dream now!

We used AngloFrench law to purchase our house which completed in December, prior to Brexit. Marcel and Scott were excellent! They were thorough and knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. We had many ups downs along the road, nothing down to AFL I must add, it was due to our sellers notaire choice, and somehow Marcel and his team managed to get it all sorted for us. It was touch and go as to whether we would be able to complete before 31st December but they pulled it out of the bag for us! The price agreed at the initial discussion was excellent and this was not increased, even though there was much more work involved than originally anticipated. We were extremely pleased with AngloFrench law from start to finish and would not hesitate to recommend them.

I used Anglo French Law to deal with my mother’s complex estate when she passed as she lived in France but was a UK national. The care and professionalism I received from Scott and the team was outstanding and they helped me through every step of the way and minimised the hassle as much as possible. I can wholeheartedly recommend Anglo French Law and their services!

We instructed Anglo French Law to buy our French property several years ago, meeting at their offices on Throgmorton Street, and they saved us a lot in transfer tax and stamp duty, coupled with making it possible for us to do the purchase in Sterling with the British seller which again saved a lot in foreign exchange rate cost for both parties.
We had a bereavement and we had a French probate to deal with, again we meet with Marcel at the Anglo French office's on a few occasions to sign off the various documents.
Anglo French Law were both considerate and compassionate and dealt with the matter for us from beginning to end very quickly taking the stress out of a bureaucratic process.

My family and I had a complicated succession matter involving properties in France. After an initial (socially distanced) consultation at their Throgmorton street office in London, I found Anglo French Law to be very attentive. responsive and sensitive at what was/is a difficult time. Very pleased with the service I received. I can highly recommend.

I have to say that have been very happy with the service that I have received from AFL. The majority of the time I dealt with Scott who was responsive to emails and proactive in progressing the legal matters associated with my house sale in France to a satisfactory conclusion. I would certainly recommend their services.

I engaged with Anglo French Law on a matter of succession, I called them having read mixed reviews on Google. An appointment was made for the same week as my call.
The office was easy to find- I was coming from Liverpool Street station and it was about a 10 minute walk to Throgmorton Street.
On arrival I was greeted and introduced to Marcel and we discussed my issues for close to an hour which concluded in me instructing AFL to take appropriate action.
I had waited over two years for the French Notaire to do nothing! AFL concluded the matter inside three months.
I can unreservedly recommend Anglo French Law. I found them to be attentive, efficient and cost effective.

We contacted Anglo French Law as a result of the usual delays dealing with French Notaires and sadly a complete lack of contact or interest on thier part to transfer funds after selling property belonging to an SCI following my late fathers death. Although I am fluent French Speaking I had no response to emails and difficulty in getting through to the Notaire who had promised to send a document several weeks before.
We spoke with Marcel who was very knowledgable and up to date with information regarding SCI's and our position, he gave us good advice as to where we may need to go next. Marcel called us back personally to keep us updated and did everything he said he would.
Marcel dealt with the situation quickly resulting in monies being transferred to us within days of his contact with the Notaires office. I was a little sceptical having seen some negative comments online but can honestly say that we were very happy with the service he provided to us and are now likely to engage Anglo French Law further to deal with a related issue over some land that we are selling.
Thank you Marcel.

After a disaster with a French avocate, who completely misled us over a French property inheritance problem. We approached Anglo French Law, after they were recommended by a mutual business acquaintance, this has proved a good move, when they sorted out all our problems to our satisfaction. It did take some time, due to Covid and the ridiculously slow French system. We would not hesitate to advise people to use them. Thank you.

We have been dealing with Anglo French Law LLP since our French house purchase in 2012. Marcel made the whole process easy to understand and guided us through every step calmly and reassuringly. It was an absolute pleasure to deal with him and his highly professional staff, especially as we discovered that buying property in France can be unduly complicated and bureaucratic. Marcel's in-depth knowledge enabled the purchase to go through without unnecessary complication.
We are in touch on a regular basis and will remain so.
We can not recommend their services highly enough.

I have been dealing with a rather complex issue relating to the inheritance rights for a property in France and had cause to call Anglo French Law. I found the practice very helpful and efficient in every way. I spoke to Marcel who explained the situation to me very clearly in language I could easily understand. The practice obviously has an in-depth understanding of French law and most importantly how it relates to British law. This was very important to me as I had been having considerable difficulty in getting the depth of understanding I needed when I spoke to lawyers in France. I cannot recommend this practice more highly and I will certainly be using them again in the future.

I used Anglo French Law LLP to purchase a small property on the Cote D'azur last year. The process was clearly explained and I was simply glad to pay them what still seems like a very reasonable fee and put the legal legwork and responsibility in their hands. With only one meeting necessary they were able to handle the intricacies of what seemed like an extremely convoluted and bureaucratic project. It took a few months longer than expected but this was simply due to the slowness of the French Notaires Offices. I cannot praise the diligent work of all the staff that were involved in my case. My calls were always answered by very friendly reception staff and if my case solicitor was busy they would always call me back and inform me of the latest update. It was a pleasure to deal with a company that communicated without mincing their words. Quite simply the right company to handle any French property purchase.

I recently emailed Marcel at Anglo French Law regarding some issues relating to joint ownership of a property in France. I was impressed by the speed of his response, the depth of his knowledge during a subsequent phone call and shall certainly return to him for help with any future legal processes.

It is by far the most knowledgeable team on both French and UK law I have worked with. I had a pretty complex question on a French property no one I have contacted previously was able to answer. Marcel replied to my query very quickly and he was extremely detailed and accurate in his answer. I warmly recommend AnloFrench law and I will be using them again for sure in the future.
