Simply the best - professional, succinct, effective - knowledgeable and skilful at putting this knowledge into practice. Ms Kyhati Joshi of Joshi Advocates was successful in handling a returning resident case and human rights case for relatives - the case was unusual, complex and challenging with the added complication of it taking place during the pandemic. We had previously been advised by another firm that the likelihood of success would be zero - however Ms Joshi was a true advocate - she presented the facts and evidence, she kept us informed throughout the process and it was successful. For a year I sent hundreds of emails to UK immigration lawyers/ Advocates all over the UK, while still being in South Africa. Only one, would accept my case, as it was complexed and not as straight forward. When my clearance visa to the UK was approved, I knew that somehow there is light at the end of the tunnel. Long story short, being a parent to my EEA national daughter, not seeing her for many years, along with financial constraints added to my frustration. Joshi Advocates assisted me, while my residence card was pending. Home office refused my application, Joshi Advocates appealed, we won the appeal and our case continued. This has been an emotional roller coaster but so worth it. There were times when I was despondent, I felt sad, I cried, I haven't seen my family in more than a year but I pushed through. I had a great team to support me, that was prepared to fight for me and I had to learn to be patient and put my faith in Khyati and her team. Not in my wildest dreams, did I know I would receive a call from Joshi Advocates informing me that I have my permanent residence. My advice to anyone out there, in a similar situation or any immigration matter. Trust the process, remain focused and be prepared to work hard as team.
