We first made contact with Oliver Fisher in September 2019 due to water ingres from the roof into one of the bedrooms. It was progressively getting worse and our freeholder was refusing to fix it. We were advised that Arman Khosravi was the company's legal specialist in this area. Our first meeting was very honest, not what we wanted to hear at times, but realistic. Arman made it very clear what we could and couldn't do at that stage. He started the first part of the Housing Disrepair Protocol. The law is not always as clear as we'd like it to be and that was very frustrating and drawn out at times. Thankfully the team and Arman were on hand to answer our questions and explain the legal jargon, as well as ensuring costs were kept to a minimum. Arman kept a running document so we could keep track of services and money on account. Many of the legal fees were paid just ahead of services which was helpful. Two weeks before Christmas 2019 our bedroom ceiling collapsed. Arman and the team were sympathetic and we felt they dealt with matters promptly. If you use Oliver Fisher, they will be honest with likely timescales, outcome and recovery of fees. The process was extremely stressful and daunting at times, as we could have possibly gone to trial but Arman was very honest and listened to those concerns. Two weeks prior to the trial (March 2021) our freeholder decided to settle out of court. This may not have been the case and it could have cost tens of thousands of pounds at trial. As mentioned, Oliver Fisher is a very honest firm and they will be clear on the fact that once you start proceedings, it will be a very long process. If you find yourself in this situation, please only start proceedings if it is a last resort like it was in our situation. If you can move, make repairs yourself or can remedy the situation in any other way, do that instead. Back to Arman, here is the full list of what he achieved for us in that time: - Housing Disrepair Protocol first hearing: We were awarded our costs. - Not liable for 3 years ground rent due to time limits. - Not liable for Service Charge bill due to 18 month time limit. - Out of court settlement compensation from freeholder fully recovered - 75% of fees paid by freeholder. - Section 20 dispensation appeal due to Freeholder failing to consult for major works (still pending) Overall, we are happy with the outcome and would highly recommend Oliver Fisher and Arman Khosravi.

My solicitor Ms Nilaufar Alothiya was incredibly helpful with my case during the time in lockdown. I had a unique case where I was stuck abroad during lockdown with my mental heth circumstances and I was informed by the council that I will have my place possessed. Arman Khosravi is a first class property dispute solicitor who assisted me as effectively and as cost-effectively as he possibly could in two matters; firstly, to secure a Tomlin Consent Order over a S 146 Forfeiture of Lease application and going on to successfully settle an internal property management company (co-share of freehold) planning dispute.
