I got hit by a Non Molestation Order and Prohibited Step Order by my ex wife with fake accusation. This resulted in not being able to see or talk. to my four years old daughter. This was devastating! The case from my ex wife solicitor was built relatively well and the timed perfectly with the Christmas period in the middle and lots of Bank Holidays to give me even less time to fight back. I have used the services of solicitors a few times for fairly mundane transactions but this was the first time for an immigration matter. OTS was suggested to me by my son who has experience of such matters, both professionally and personally, from his career in international business experience. The response from OTS was rapid. An initial meeting (by Zoom, this being mid-2020) with Stephen Slater and Jayana Rathod who clarified the various potential routes towards my final goal of UK nationality. I was much encouraged by their evident awareness of the pertinent issues. Subsequently, I dealt solely with Jayana and continued to be impressed by the professionalism with which she handled my case. My partner and I used OTS for our PBS Dependent visa which was successful. Vishal was the main allocated solicitor handling our case with assistance from Toby. Our initial meeting with Vishal was very good and informative, he studied my immigration history which was not very simple and provided us with the route forward. The only disappointment we had through the entire period of this was some lack of prompt responses from Vishal and some gaps in the information provided. We found ourselves continuously needing more information to do with supporting our application which could have clearly been defined earlier specially due to supporting documents required. We used OTS to apply for the notoriously difficult Adult Dependent Relative for my wife's mother in Eritrea. After careful research we decided to use OTS, mainly because of the level of experience that sat behind the solicitors, for instance retired judges etc. Our solicitor was a trainee at the time of starting this just over two years ago, Hans Sok Appadu. We gave careful consideration over whether to use a trainee or not, but he was backed up by people with extensive experience, knowledgeable, driven but most of all hungry for success and passionate, and many a trainee has everything to prove. We met regularly with OTS and listened to everything they said to us. We built substantial evidence and followed all their advice. The process was lengthy and initially we were refused entrance for my mother-in-law but we applied for an appeal and selected one of their recommended barristers, James Collins of 36 Civil. Having tried for some time to source a specialist immigration firm that I could conduct my wife's immigration hurdles I visited OTS in Fleet Street some months ago initially meeting Hans Appadu and being impressed with his resolve and concise legal knowledge on the subject. He passed me over to a para-legal colleague, Saida Ahmed who from the start conducted herself gracefully despite my clear frustration at the prejudicial immigration hurdle I was facing. Having had 3 Visitor Visas rejected (my wife is Cuban) and a seemingly impossible Spouse Visa financial hurdle Saida and I bundled an improbable 140 page Visitor Visa application together. The OTS letter alone was 30 pages long describing my wife's circumstance as well as mine but essentially Saida provided the bulky case law that had been omitted by myself in our 3 previous failed applications. Although the saga is only at the Stage 4 Grand Prix with a whole raft of further hurdles to climb I am pleased to report that my wife's Visitor Visa to UK was granted for 6 months this week. Without OTS and Saida working effortlessly in this regard our logjam would undoubtedly have continued. My wife and I are eternally grateful to OTS and Saida and will continue to use their services for the next Grand Prix and those thereafter. It feels that the Spouse Visa treatment by the Home Office and UKVI is prejudicial to British Citizens who marry Spouses outside UK/EU putting '000s at the back of the queue. This was not a straightforward case as she was actually born in Zimbabwe (her mother was British) and we were born in South Africa. My wife is British and I am an Indian citizen. My spouse visa was refused in 2015 with the HO claiming that our relationship was not genuine, despite providing mountains of evidence that it was. I recently got ILR on basis of Tier-1 Entrepreneur Accelerated route of 3 Years. Initially I decided to apply by myself than I changed my mind as my case was bit complex. I have received different advices from many solicitors & consultants but almost 70-80% I received Negative response that I can't apply for ILR but can apply for an extension only. I can't thanks OTS Solicitors enough, Having already been to 2 other Solicitors at great expense we still were not getting anywhere regarding our immigration matter and at one stage we thought we may have to leave the UK, then we spoke with Teni and she explained the best way to proceed, her understanding of immigration matters were excellent and not what we had been told from other Solicitors.
