We used westkin Associates to try and get a UK spouse visa for my wife after our first time had been refused a couple of years ago. This time with the help of westkin Associates we were very successful, and my wife now has her spouse visa and will be joining me in the UK very soon. I needed help with my Wife's visa application. I selected Westkin based on their good review and they assigned me Maryam Hadi. I could not have been more impressed with her attention to detail, and professionalism. She completed every task exactly when she said she would. Let me tell you a little bit about my journey with Lizama (the main lady I dealt with) and her associate Nayla: I'd been married for a year (my wife is from Pakistan and I'm from the UK) but she was studying for her final exams and of course Covid-19 delayed everything. So I waited a year before even starting my application. Lizama was SUPER friendly, efficient and the most lawyer you'll ever meet. With her and her assistant they took care of EVERYTHING. From the time my Visa application was submitted I got a YES within 1-2 months (this is only due to Covid-19 delays because my elder brother used Lizama for his application for his Wife, an Algerian national, and got approved within 2-3 weeks). These guys are definitely the ONLY Lawyers you should consider for your Visa applications, mine was obviously a Spouse visa, because they'll do all the legwork and I think they have a 99% success rate on their applications (of course nothing is guaranteed in this world). WESTKIN ASSOCIATES, THE BEST IMMIGRATION FIRM I COULD EVER COME ACROSS! After my not so good experience with earlier immigration firm who applied my Tier 1 application almost five years back – five years because for two years I had to go through litigation because refusal of my application on flimsy grounds by ECO in Delhi, India, I wanted to entrust my extension application to competent immigration firm. My Tier 1 visa was valid until 4th March, 2020 and I intended to apply in/around first week of February 2020 as I was told that I can apply 4 weeks before expiry of my visa. I started to short list most competent immigration firms in London and visited a few of them. I did not wanted to take any risk this time and was prepared to pay any genuine fees. When I visited WESTKIN ASSOCIATES in off Regent Street in West End, London, I was interviewed by Mr Michael. After going through my case, he advised me that Ic an apply in December itself which was a pleasant surprise for me as no one else told me about this. We discussed further and agreed on terms of payment. I received welcome pack after paying initial fees. 1. Nature of my case The nature of my case was such that I was applying for a family of a settled person visa or FLR (M) in January 2017. Me and my girlfriend who is a British citizen were looking for a lawyer with a comprehensive knowledge of home office immigration guidelines to help us with our application. I was transitioning from a Tier 4 student visa after graduating from my Masters and I initially approached Westkin because they had great reviews and a seemingly spotless reputation for handling immigration matters. We initially applied for a same day application on the 16 Jan 2017 and got rejected because the case worker handling our application did not fully understanding the home office's guidelines. This was frustrating to say the least. On our way back home from the appointment, we told Jocelyn what had happened and shared with her the reasons for our rejection. She quickly urged us to get back to the office that same day and apply again on the grounds that the case worker clearly missed out on a key interpretation of their bylaws. Her quick thinking gave us another chance. According to the HOME OFFICE website, all application should take 8 weeks for a response unless you're told that it is going to take longer. It took the home office over 4 months to get back to us!! and when they did, they rendered my application invalid because according to their records, I had two outstanding applications! which was of course nonsense. In any case Jocelyn presented us with the option to submit a PAP form, which we did and waited for the home office's response. The Home office eventually agreed to our claim and asked us to resubmit our application again (with relevant fees and IHS charge of course)!! which we did. At this point it had been over 6 months, 2 home office errors and still no real deadline of when a decision will be made. We decided to involve on (the advice of Jocelyn) our local MP's office to help us follow up the home office as the situation had gotten dire and incredibly frustrating!!. After launching our complaint, and more back and forths between the Home office and the MP's office, I was finally granted leave on the the 16th of August. Roughly 7 months after my initial application. 2. Our caseworker In our initial consultation, we were introduced to one Jocelyn Howorth. Her expertise and knowledge of Home office guidelines as well as of how she was going to handle our case impressed us greatly. Through our whole application period, she remained conscientious, diligent, incisive, insightful and calming. Put plainly, we would not have gotten as far as we did through let down after frustrating let down were it not for her expertise. I cannot recommend her highly enough, she is truly great at what she does. Amongst lawyers, I have never met any better. All in all, It was very trying time filled with downs and more downs. I contacted WESTKINS in September 2013 in regards to my Tier 1 Entrepreneur refusal appeal. The initial application was made by my previous solicitor who seems to have very limited knowledge about the Tier 1 entrepreneurial immigration rules. Home office refused my application on the basis of God knows everything. There was a 10 page refusal letter which criticized every aspect of my business and challenged the genuineness of my business. UKBA have rejected my application on more than 20 solid points which mainly occur due to the negligence and lack of attention from my previous solicitor.
