Woeful experience all round for us. Incompetent handler with too many errors in basic conveyancing procedures (questions from buyers not answered correctly; incorrect statements of action taken when it wasn’t; silence on the phone when questioned). Eventually manager took over who was slightly better but still painfully slow and at times clueless. I get their business model now: cheap, cheap and swamped with cases which only get dealt with when the client pushes. The Ryanair of conveyancing. Great if it’s an easy straightforward sale but if you have a zealous lawyer on the buyer’s side asking questions don’t expect Convey Law to deal with them competently any time soon. At times it was embarrassing. You get what you pay for. And that nearly lost us our sale. Never again. And I know what I’ll get now: the standard copy and paste response - all part of the smoke and mirrors *** Updated from 1 to 3 stars. Convey Law took my complaint seriously and conscientiously researched it. A satisfactory outcome in the end.

Very good experience, having very recently completed a flat purchase. As the team may be aware I switched my conveyancing instruction to Convey Law after my purchase was impacted by the Premier Property Lawyers security breach. I can't fault the Convey team for picking things up mid-purchase and making more progress in 24 hours than I'd had in the entire 6 weeks prior! We had some very minor issues with cross-communications at one stage, where messages coming back to me were on a slight delay from the updates my estate agent was getting, aside from this I can't fault how things were handled at all and would recommend your service to others. Overall it was a good experience and we managed to get over the line! One things to bear in mind when using a company like ConveyLaw is that they use an online portal for the majority of communications. If you are comfortable with this then you will have no issues. If you are expecting instantaneous phone based comms with the solicitor on a daily basis then I would suggest you find another solicitor and be prepared to pay at least double the price. In my view, I like how ConveyLaw do things and would use them again.

The portal Coney Law use was also helpful in streamlining the procedure and removed any unnecessary back and forth as part of initial fact finding/background discovery. Firstly my score is based on one particular conveyancer Rhys Dunn had he not taken over my case the score would be completely different. My first conveyancer preferred to be contacted by email and would only respond by email. This was frustrating as I'm a first time buyer and needed a bit of hand holding. Also when I did email you received an automated response to say someone would be in touch in 24/48 hours. A week before I was due to complete I emailed my solicitor only to receive an out of office to say that he has left. My case was then handed over. My case was handed over to Rhys Dunn, a week before I was due to complete. What can I say apart the whole process would have been a whole lot smoother had he of been allocated to me from the start. As I mentioned earlier my original solicitor left, Rhys called me twice the next morning which is already twice more than my original solicitor. I was getting chased by the Estate Agents while I was on holiday and Rhys really put my mind at ease. He really knows what he is talking about and he explains everything is simple terms and not with legal jargon. I also had the element of a help to buy bonus which was handled so smoothly I couldn't even believe it had been done. He is extremely professional but also so friendly which really helped in these stressful times. I had been given two completion dates prior to this and after speaking to Rhys this was literally the only date that I believed would go go through whcih it did. I can't speak for the organisation as a whole but my experience with Rhys was fantastic. I wouldn't necessarily recommend conveylaw especially for a first time buyer, but my experience has shown that it really depends who you get.

However, this time, I’m going to pen a review mid-stage in an effort to see how service can be improved given that replies to reviews below suggest that Convey Law do have a level of service to which they aspire. I did try and resolve matters by raising issues with the appropriate team leader. Sadly, a number of queries remain outstanding a week later. I would highly recommend ConveyLaw or similar companies for simple transactions if you have the patience and time to follow up with bank etc to make sure everything is progressing correctly, otherwise if you're working to tight deadlines or have a complex chain, then I'd look to pay (a fair bit) more for a good local solicitor.

I highly recommend Convey Law. I found their rates very competitve in comparison to other conveyancing companies. I specifically did not want to go with the cheapest rate as I have found through previous experience that that the marginal savings are not worth the tradeoff in service. It is simply not worth saving a few pounds if you consider the extra risk and stress of the home sale / purchase falling through. My conveyancer, Ollie, was absolutely fantastic. He provided regular communication throughout the process and was always responsive to any inquiries I had throughout the process. I have worked with other conveyancing firms before who were very difficult to reach, or inaccessible. This never the case with Ollie. He was readily reachable via phone or email, and I always got a callback or email the same day or within a few hours of my queries. He made a stressful process as pain-free as possible communicating across our chain to help push things along. He went above and beyond including passing my case to his supervisor to provide coverage whilst he was on leave to make sure the case would not be unnecessarily delayed. I cannot think of anything else that could have gone better and wished all conveyancers in the chain operated with his level of professionalism and quality of service.

Convey Law oversaw the purchase of a property in 2 months. The legal diligence appeared to be good from an outside perspective. The total cost came to ~£1,100 for a "regular" purchase. Communication was not always easy and the technique of calling and leaving a voicemail requesting a callback was a lot more successful than trying to get through directly. Overall satisfied with the service and would recommend for a regular transaction at a low price.

Only thanks to Lauren Thomas Overall i think it depends who you get as your conveyance appointed person, the first person i got was as useful as a chocolate teapot! I asked for a different soliciter/conveyencer at this point and the lady who i was given was great and got it done, however this took 12months due to the first rubbish person and covid in the middle also. they did stick to there initial price however.

Overall I was happy with the service when I was able to get through to the people I needed. I was most impressed with Cheryl Head and her assistant Dana as they were very helpful at moving things along. The processing of my mortgage was stuck with the ID department and despite my emails to ID and Support to find out what had happened to my mortgage I did not receive responses from them. It wasn't until Dana got involved that things moved along. She was extremely helpful and requested that I send my documentation via email directly to her. From that moment it was plain sailing!
