We recently decided to purchase a small plot of land and, given this was something we'd never done before, decided we'd likely need a fair amount of hand holding. After making some initial enquiries with a number of local solicitors, it became obvious that James Pepperdine at Hunt & Coombs was the right person for the job. And he didn't let us down. Throughout the process he was incredibly responsive (unheard of in my earlier experiences dealing with solicitors) and he regularly reached out with his own updates. He answered all our questions in a language we could understand, and in the end the transaction was simple, efficient and - dare I say it - enjoyable. I used Hunt & Coombs for the sale of my late father's house. The sale fell through three times before we were able to find a buyer who was able to go through with the purchase. I found the whole process discouraging and stressful. However, Husnain stayed optimistic and worked proactively and professionally. I’ve dealt with Racheal Bridges in the family law department and Andy cave in the criminal department. They have both been unbelievable, more than words can describe. I’ve had a fantastic result with Lesley Milne and her team. I had tenants in a property that hadn’t been paying for almost 2 years. I went to court twice to have the tenants evicted and lost both times. Unfortunately the letting agent I had used had messed up paperwork and not done things they should have and the solicitor I was using at the time had also submitted court documents incorrectly and given inaccurate advice. Lesley put everything in order for me and got us back to court, we won! I was also awarded the full amount of rent arrears and court costs. During this process I received a bill for one of the cases I lost with the previously solicitor in the sum of £9300. Hunt and Coombs were able to get this down to just over 2k for me and also had it off set against rent arrears so I didn’t have to pay out a penny. I would highly recommend this law form!
