I used GA Solicitors to buy my first house, they were friendly to deal with and got everything sorted without any problems. They were competitively priced, even after taking into account the commission paid to the estate agents for our referral. They were as communicative as needed, and the day of exchange was very smooth. My only criticism is they could use digital document distribution more; I had to scan every document they sent us myself, which is not text searchable. If they could share the digital originals of every letter they sent us, that would be an improvement upon an already excellent service.

Just when it is the last thing you want to be doing... you find that you really need a solicitor to cope with the aftermath of a mesothelioma related death. Fantastic solicitors, we sold our first home and bought another in July 2020 and quite frankly I didn't know where to start with all the paperwork. Laura Lofting with help of Rosie were absolutely brilliant, I have never had to chase any responses, if I sent an email in the morning I would get an answer during the day and if late in the afternoon, I would see an email in my inbox first thing the next morning(usually before 8am). We weren't placed on the pile and then looked after only if we chased them not at all. From the very start till the end we knew exactly what was going every step of the way. I would highly recommend GA, Laura especially, she is very knowledgeable and guided us through the process seamlessly. The only but only tiny reservation I would have is perhaps the company should start doing more online communications/case progress so there is less usage of paper. But even during lockdown all the documents reached us the same(courier)/next day (post). If I ever decide to move I would definitely use GA.

Matthew Rose at GA did a fantastic job of organising my recent will, he was recommended through my Financial Adviser and made what I thought would be a complicated process very easy and efficient. Matthew constructed my will exactly according to my wishes and gave sound advice to cover all those points that I wouldn't have thought of myself. I gave him my headline wishes and he produced a rapid but comprehensive draft which with a few tweaks was exactly what I wanted. Due to the Covid 19, we all did this by telephone and email without any problems. A friendly and efficient service at an agreed price which was extremely good value. I would highly recommend using a trained solicitor writing a will to ensure that all legal aspects are considered (as opposed to just a non legal will writing service that is offered by other firms). I live 200+ miles from Plymouth and after we found it impossible to come down to help with the conveyancing due to a family problem we were then overtaken by the dreaded Lockdown which meant that virtually the entire operation took place in our absence. I was recommended to use GA Solicitors by another firm, who thought my case was more to GA's taste than theirs. I was dealt with by Matthew Sheather, who I only spoke to by phone a few times, and the rest by email, but he was caring and kept me well informed of what was happening with the long-running case and the details of the no-win, no-fee. Although my outcome in the case was not pleasing to my side, this was due to the available evidence and situation, not GA's work, which was of quality all the way through the time of dealing with the case.
