I have been really satisfied overall with Nash & Co solicitors and we got the job done in the end. I was selling a complicated shared ownership property, with a lot of expected delays and hurdles from the shared ownership company. At first it was a bit sticky, as I found it difficult to have various different trainees of the team pick up, and never in six months talked to the actual assigned head solicitor. Some of this felt frustrating as I seemed to have to repeat myself multiple times to various people in the team as they clearly just picked up different tasks but it was put across as if everyone was well versed with your one case you would have a whole team helping you. One of the team members seemed to brush me off consistently, using frustratingly non-committal evasive language which felt like more a learned strategy to get rid of people than actually based on facts you could trust him to do the job. It was really frustrating as it wasted a lot of my time trying to get more specific information on my direct questions from him in forth and back emails. Eventually when I requested to speak with others on the team it turned out that one of the major tasks that was promised by that individual that 'it would have been done', was never done by him, adding an unnecessary two weeks delay. He seemed to understand the time sensitivity of my situation, but I did not feel really heard at multiple times in the process. But rather than acknowledge the mistake in the team and apologised, it was brushed over and deflected. Again it felt very much like a solicitor's behaviour to never accept fault. On an individual and personal relationship level I found that very unprofessional, frustrating and really wanted to change companies during the process. In the end another team member, came in, and Amy really did a sterling job to pick up what was missed and responded to the other solicitor's side immediately. I felt I could rely on at least one person from now on going forward, while the other team members still chipped in mainly on an admin scale and when they were in the office. It saved the turn around for me and staying with them. I wondered if they were perhaps too big, and I specifically chose them after I read some of the reviews and after I was assured by them when I first inquired about their services that I would get one main person assigned to my case to work through the sale. This person I only knew by signature who officially supposedly opened the case and put the finally signature on. For me personally, in the future, I would prefer to work with possibly a smaller firm or to be assigned just the one main responsible team member from the start to finish. The main leg work in the end was done by Amy (who did not seem the main person but part of the team) and some of the others. Amy was amazing and I really appreciated her work ethic and professionalism and reliability. If she said she would do something she did. I would definitely recommend her in the team.
