After living overseas for many years and a single retiree, buying for the first time in the UK seemed a little daunting. Holly and Amber were very helpful, explaining each step of the process clearly and offering advice where needed. I was very impressed with the service they offered and particularly with Amber who was always available to answer questions.

We used CSK to buy a home and found them very thorough and knowledgeable throughout the process, and picking up on (and chasing) a lot of the seller solicitors' document errors and missing documents. The latter dragged out the process multiple weeks more than was needed, but as far as I know CSK kept pushing. We also used their will service which was quick and easy, and I've recommended them to family too.

Used Holly Knight to help purchase our first property which was a long process. But she kept us fully informed and was diligent in checking that everything was right for us which we are grateful for. My only criticism was the amount of typos in correspondence from one of the admin team. Having a correspondence referring to our 'Leeds hold' (should be lease hold) wasn't great nor was having my name spelt wrong on multiple documents- perhaps double check things going forward. However, they responded to every enquiry quickly and supported us through the buying process.

We had not moved house for many years, and CS&K were recommended to us. We were not disappointed. Our first move was "downsizing" from country to town. Louise Harvey and Julie Owen acted for us and kept us fully informed at all times. Contact was easy by email or SMS, and replies arrived promptly. We received a lot of good advice and guidance, often without even requesting it. Any minor hiccups with other parties in the chain were dealt with quickly and efficiently. However, downsizing did not work for us, and within two years we again instructed CS&K to act for us. There were some tricky covenants on this occasion, and Louise Harvey called us in person to talk us through the implications. We agreed our approach during this brief conversation, and the issues were soon resolved. An exchange of letters would certainly have taken much longer and would still have left some aspects unresolved. Louise and Julie took a difficult character at the top of the chain and an inexperienced conveyancer lower down the chain in their stride. Again, another very satisfactory outcome. As far as the fee is concerned, CS&K adhered to the quoted amount, and our view is that it represents value for money, if only in terms of our own peace of mind that things have been done right.
