j. t.I got to your Barrow depot on a bank holiday and was delighted you were open; I'd only come to get a battery for the smart ignition key on my sons car and there are lots of batteries and so; opportunities to get the thing wrong. Fortunately for me I was greeted by a sales person and they quickly got the right gear for me. I'm 71 and hard of hearing and a bit bumbling, but it was no problem for your staff , even on a tiny order!
This wasn't one of those; "Have a nice day" and , "every day's like Christmas; it was good solid helpful and naturally cheerful business. I think you make an ordinary shopping experience just
more pleasant, in a seamless sort of way. Keep it up!

I. M.Good helpful service, but (hence only four stars) I can’t believe there is nowhere to lock your pushbike. Even the local paper shop accommodates bikes now, Halford is a massive bike shop so surely they should be encouraging people with bikes. Come on Halfords you can/should do better. Edit: thanks for the reply Halfords but you haven’t mentioned the issue!

They gave clear instructions on how to register interest so we could be kept informed when the bike was back in stock. The website stock checker was really useful and we received an email to confirm when it was back in stock. When we went to collect it, Danni was super helpful and friendly, speaking directly to our son about his new bike rather than us. We would definitely use Halfords again and strongly recommend them! 😊

The store is quite overfacing when first entering, there is so much going on to distract you from your shopping mission - hi-viz, gizmos of all shapes and lots of shiny things. Luckily the staff are usually well trained to get you back on track to find the fuse you went in for!

n. m.I was met at the door by one of the staff, a very polite and friendly young man, he opened the door for me to go through with my ebike as I didn't want to leave it outside. I went straight to the till and purchased my gift card, again being greeted by a friendly, polite young lady.
Once I was finished there the young man had the door open for me again, Nothing is too much trouble for these guys, and having disabilities these things really do make a huge difference when it comes to going into shops, especially with the bike!!!

I also had a new headlight that Jeff, I think that was his name? Tall, thin greying hair. Sorry if not just came off a nightshift. A lovely chap went above and beyond to fit it for me, the metal had got moved when I smashed previous headlight hitting a post. After a hammer and plyers to move into place headlight fitted with all bulbs working.
Excellent service at very reasonable price.

C. S.I have shopped in Barrow Halfords on several occasions and always found the staff helpful and pleasant. On Sunday I need some help purchasing the right antifreeze for my car. There were two young girls who went above and beyond to help me and I would like to take the time to thank them.
J. C.I was in a flat panic when my battery started to fail because I need my car. A phone call to Halfords was most reassuring - I immediately went to store and had the battery of my choice fitted there and then. Also because I am a health care worker I was advised that I was eligible for a free car check, which also took place there and then. Even though this was a stressful day for me, Halfords staff were calm, professional and efficient. They really came through for me that day and I cannot praise Halfords Barrow staff (Jason and Courtney) highly enough.

S. D.Ordered a product online for collection that same day. After some chasing (and poorly timed nappy changes) I fastened the Boglin into his car seat and made our way to the store. With Boglin child on a leash, and my appearance somewhat dishevelled, the lovely ladies on the shop floor understood my ramblings and incoherent babble ("erm window thingy... sock thing... online order... I've paid... erm...") and produced my item from the special room lickety split (speedy, friendly and sympathetic service). Wrangled said Boglin back to vehicle after just two minutes of being out (great parking directly outside the door), he wasn't amused. But I fit the window sock, and it was of perfect dimensions (it was the right size, huzzah!). And now Boglin can no longer attempt escape through the window as we journey, and us oldies can have the benefit of a cool car, (both temperature and style). Great store. Great personnel. Great product.

The gent who fitted it was brilliant, not rushed, took care around the van and despite my old wagon doing it's best to make the job difficult (wires breaking due to corrosion and fuze block parting). He finished the fit, put on some new connectors and tidied all the wires up before getting me to start the engine and check everything was working. Top job and well worth the few pounds they charge for fitting, definitely use this service again. Many thanks 👍
