Dan the technician did an excellent job fitting my son's car stereo in to his Toyota Aygo - he has superb customer service skills and technical know-how. The store manager was also very helpful, in that they assisted me with a mistake I made, and they were not obliged to do so. Overall, a brilliant experience with the purchase and subsequent fitting service.

I visited Halfords Selly Oak on 19th March 2022 for a vintage front bike light fitting and a FREE bike assessment. I arrived early for my appointment. The staff member I was due to see was very helpful and gave me help and advice immediately which I was very impressed with. I did have a previous appointment 2 weeks earlier to have a rear light fitting which did not work (after I had paid the £5 to have it fitted). So even though I had to pay again to have the front light fitted I was happy to pay it as they were ful of helpful advice.

I had the misfortune of having a blown bulb. Went to Halfords Selly Oak, Birmingham. The staff were really polite, helpful and professional. Despite them being very busy and possibly understaffed. They continued to work to the customers needs. The younger man whom completed my difficult bulb change saw me waiting and appeared to leave or postpone his break to complete my order, without hesitation or being prompted by any other colleagues or manager. All of the staff seemed to continue and work tirelessly through the ever growing stream of customers requiring their help.

The SMS messages for updating the order status worked well as the 2 items arrived in store on different days and I only wanted to make one trip to collect them. A very good store to get spare parts for your car . They keep a good range of car Batteries, windscreen wipers, Bulbs, spark Plugs, car cleaning products, Sat Navs, Dash cams. They also stock jet washers, camping goods, bicycles and spares, tools and tool chests. Staff there are friendly and are willing to help you out. Keeping too Covid rules. My one negative to this store is the parts finder in the car parts department. The day I visited not one of the parts finders for your car was not working. I had to join the queue for the tills ask what I needed and get the person who served me find the bulb types I needed for my car. Other than this the experience was good.

1st time in 12 months I went to have my bike serviced. Considering what myself and my bike have gone through it wasn't in that bad of condition. All that needed was a new inner tube and front wheel trued. The service the young lad did on my bike was done within 30 minutes and repair in 20 minutes so I'm very happy with the out come.

Can queue quite a long time to get advice and help from bike mechanics but they have saved me money and hassle in the past so it is worth it. Some of the products are on the higher price range (compared to buying online) but are good quality and Halfords are known for having a good returns and warranty policy if you have issues.

Fast & efficient online ordering; excellent e-mail order tracking communication; value for money price paid; helpful staff & great location with convenient/easy access via train, bus, car, bicycle or walking. Large open air car parking to the front of the store & the new road access system from Bristol Road with roundabout access into & out of the Retail Park is a considerable improvement. Great service & value for money prices. A truly convenient & efficient way of purchasing online & collecting locally very quickly.

After my partner had her bike stolen, I went on a mission to get it replaced by the weekend where we had plans for MTB trails. Shirley store said there was one at this store. I rushed over and got greeted by the team Phil, Becky & Teresa who were more then helpful. As I told them of the situation I was in, they were keen to help and get me sorted. They had 1 Bike left and Phil jumped up to get it built for me while I waited. This was amazing as I knew there was a big waiting list. Becky and Teresa were lovely to talk too bout bikes and was a laugh purchasing the bike. All I can say is thank you to them 3 staff members as without them being keen to help, I would of had one upset partner the weekend. If you order online and pick up, the staff are helpful and will usually ask to see if they can bring your order to you while you wait in the queue. Was a very long queue to get there. Seemed like staff are just not bothered about clearing the queue as when I got to the front the girl at the till was happy to serve but was also collecting the orders. I look behind to see the manager and 2 other staff just chatting and joking away.... 1 could have been helping the girl at the till and the other 2 could have been dealing with the bike owners coming in and out, maybe even set up a mini drop off / pick up point outside for the bike owners. But nope... they weren't able to think of that.

Popped into Halford's a couple of weeks back and bought a new radio for my car, the lady who served us was very helpful with both choosing the correct one and then booking an appointment for it to be fitted. When going back again to have the radio fitted, it was done very quickly and neatly by a young lad I believe to be named Luke (and the previous lady I mentioned happens to be his Mom). After a few days I realised the radio fitted wasn't holding its memory properly so I took the car back to Halford's and Luke sorted it out straight away very quickly without any extra charges and apologised many times as he had gotten two wires mixed up. Although there was that, all staff who dealt with me were very polite and helpful and I would definitely recommend going there from the great service we had.
