G. C.Took my Jag to The Bournemouth Gearbox Centre and Phil for a gearbox service. I was treated professionally and with absolute courtesy from the first phone call to the on site visit. I thought that the service was pretty much just an oil change. WOW how wrong was I and what a difference to the drive of my already beautiful car. So, much so, that I had to call him to say thank you. They're highly recommended to all. Well done and thank you
M.After a very bad experience with a different garage, I've found Bournemouth Gearbox Centre Dorset Ltd on Google search. Deciding to take my car on the rump from the previous garage and take it to this garage was the best decision that I took. Phil, a very simple and modest person but with all the knowledge that a specialist could have, had a look at my car and told me what was wrong and the cost to fixing in very short time. A week later my car was back on the road again. I REALLY RECOMMEND Phil's garage. The cost of your Gearbox problem is definitely cheaper at his garage then others. You also can rely on his knowledge and his seriousness a quality that not many has left.
Thank you very much Phil for accepting to fix my car in a very short notice and for taking the time to answering to all my questions before you even knew that you will definitely going to fix my car.
D. P.Five stars all round for these guys. My 335i was in a sorry state with a whining gearbox. Phil provided great customer service and went above an beyond to help meet my personal needs. Managed to fit me in right away and completed the service on the day. The gearbox has completely stopped making bad noises and feels much better. Best part was the price was half the price of a local well established bmw specialist.
B. M.Highly recommend Bournemouth Gearbox Centre. Phil is polite, extremely experienced and knowledgeable. He helped troubleshoot an issue with 7- speed DSG 'gearbox error' when my car broke down. The car was diagnosed as having a cracked mechatronic casing. The casing and accumulator were replaced and I picked it up the next day. Work is warrantied. Thank you!

W.I have had issues with the 7-speed DSG on my Skoda (well known issues that Skoda never bothered to recall for!) and Phil has been able to sort them quickly and professionally both times, and at a much cheaper price than the main dealer who was only ever interested in completely replacing the gearbox and not investigating the fault whatsoever!
When it looked like the fault had re-occured just days outside the end of the warranty on the replacement part, he very graciously fixed the issue without charge. Thankfully it was a very quick fix, but it could have been so much more.
Well Phil, thank you very much. I will gladly continue referring anyone i know with auto issues to you, and if i have any more i will be back.
With service like that which is offered here, this gentleman and his company deserve to be successful for years to come.

They found no issues with the gearbox and found the real source of the humming noise was from a wheel bearing which they fixed. Saved me so much time and money. M.When I had a problem with my Volvo XC90 Aisin 5 speed auto box I called a few different places to chat about a resolution. Bournemouth gearbox company got me on diagnostics for free during lunch same day which was a big factor in my decision to use them. (Another local company wanted £95 to diagnose and couldn't do it that day.) Bournemouth Gearbox Company were professional and answered questions straight without any bulls***.
Afull rebuild was completed a day early (4 days from drop off to drive away) and the car has been transformed. The box sends the power to the wheels much more positively and shifts like silk. I also think the price was fair and reasonable for both parties. I would recommend this company for anyone in the local area who needs a little or large repair on their gearbox as these guys are professional and do the job properly. The shop was clean and seemed well planned, organised and managed.
