The guys and girls at Bridgend Halfords have always been helpful. On my last trip to pick up some detailing products my car battery decided to give up outside, I was able to order a new battery and have it fitted there and then with thanks to Harry, who helped out straight away fitting the battery and ensuring all was good.

I needed to replace my windscreen wipers. My daughter mentioned Halfords supply and fit them so I proceeded to look on their website before visiting the shop. It is a very useful website and answered many of my questions including information about a fitting service. Unfortunately only the most expensive wipers were in stock at the time but as they were being fitted I agreed to go ahead accepting a further charge of £6 to have them fitted. As it took less than five minutes for them to be fitted I felt it would have been a nice gesture on behalf of Halfords to offer this service free of charge. this

The items were for restoration of car paint work from a scratch; the wet and dry, sanding pad and tack cloths all do the job with excellent results.

Staff in the cycle department could not have been more helpful and patient. I could not purchase a ladies step-through bike from Halfords as they were out of stock (due to Covid 19) but the staff were very willing to help me with the new bike I ordered on line from another company. Friendly staff, good product choices (bikes were a little low on stock but so is everywhere else in the UK) one of the few places i would like to survive Amazons attempted world takeover.... trying out a bike or equipment for size is a must, and thats what the small price premium is for, to pay the staff, the rent, the bills... i have no problem paying a little extra for a personally tailored service experience.

Very slow service, and need reminding if you want anything fitting, I bought windscreen wipers and waited 20 minutes in a que then a further 10 minutes for my wipers to be fitted. It's not completely Halfords fault for the initial qué as it's due to socially distancing, but was disappointed with the fitting as they had forgotten about me.. however, on a positive note the staff were professional under the current circumstances, and a working to the best of there ability under these unusual circumstances.. and I would recommend the service...

Fantastic service from Halfords unit 5 Bridgend retail park, I made enquiries about having a new radio and reversing camera supplied and fitted, what seemed to be was going to be a bit of a minefield, was expertly explained to me by Nyall and it led me to purchase and have fitted the radio at the store by him and I am booked in to have the camera fitted on the 18th of this month, He is an asset to Halfords as he possesses excellent social and communication skills and did not try to sell me the most expensive instore radio and camera but what best suited my needs, It would be very remiss of me not to mention Chloe and Lewis who were also very helpful. I can’t really comment on the bike store part. I don’t care about bikes in the slightest, which makes me a rarity amongst middle aged men. The motoring section of Halfords has helped me out many times over the years. Batteries, touch up paints, bulbs, fuses, Radweld, sealants, fuel additives, replacement mirrors , number plates, etcetera etcetera etcetera. There’s a lot of expertise available, especially on the parts counter, so ask. If you’re in a dash, Halfords will even fit certain parts for you while you wait too.
