Thank you Mercy! My wife and I came with our almost 3 year old to look at new car seats. Our little one wasn't up for playing along and most people would have walked away and left us to it. Mercy, on the other hand, came over to help with her compassion, sense of humour, in depth knowledge of car seats and all round understated awesomeness! She managed to convince our little one to cooperate and try out the car seats. This enabled us to choose the best one for our situation. People like you make life so much easier in those difficult moments and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend anyone with a tricky toddler to visit Halfords in Brislington when car seat shopping ! Test drive process was excellent and Ben and Alex were very helpful. Collected bike the following weekend, no setting up of the bike as stated, I was simply left to take the bike away. I am not sure whether all the settings are correct and I had to adjust things myself at home. I was sold some sort of care package (£45) but had no details. Don't know what I have and cannot find anything online. People were all great and I am happy with the bike. Just handover process and supporting care plan information lets the rating down.

Happy with the pump and service. Disappointed that we can no longer show our AA card and receive a discount. When I asked why the response was that the AA no longer does that and you need to contact them directly. Just seen on your message that ‘A Premium Motoring Club Member could have saved £10.00 today’. Does this mean that this replaces the AA discount? I’m confused.

Visited the store today to get a bulb changed on my car. Was served by the loveliest lady called Sky. She went above and beyond not only changing the bulb quickly and efficiently, she then checked over all my lights and gave me some advice on a clip I needed fitting and a new connector cable. Best customer service I have ever had regarding my car. Sky is a credit to your store, outstanding customer service and I hope she gets the recognition she deserves for today!

brilliant experience with the cycling guys at Bath Road Halfords. Ben and Josh were very patient and helped my partner with her new bicycle. The bike we ordered turned out to be unsatisfactory, it was too small and just wasn't right for my partner, but Ben offered to swap the bike for an alternative at the same price, and rebuild it with all the accessories that we ordered with it - on the spot - half an hour before closing time, when he could have easily told us to come back a different day. Also the patience they had and genuine care whilst my partner checked the ride height and ride around to make sure the bike was right was brilliant, top customer service. Top stuff Ben and Josh

I took my daughters hand me down bike over to this unit this evening and asked the guys to reattach the Stabilizers because I had lost the nuts and bits and pieces .not only did they do that but they gave the bike a quick service and told me that the brake pads would need changing very soon and when I asked how much they said because its Christmas and your daughter will be very happy they charged me NOTHING !! Today I discovered my brake light was out. I knew that Halfords replaced brake lights and did minor servicing so I thought I’d give them a try. The whole process was very painless, it took less than 10 minutes a guy by the name of ‘Paul M’; one of their staff members, who is clearly not paid enough; I might add, approached me, explained how he was going to rectify my brake light malfunction, confirmed which light it was and fitted the new one. As I said, the whole thing took less than 10 minutes ‘Paul M’ was a delightful polite clearly knowledgeable and very efficient gentleman who clearly knew his stuff, so to that end I recommend the store at Brislington called Halfords and their superstar staff member called ‘Paul M’.

Only thing is I was not told the price of the bulb and or service and the person whom changed my bulb just passed me the packaging of the bulb and told me to go to the till with it. Staff friendly, however feel like I have been Mis sold there summer check. Charged £15.00 for a summer check, was told if oil, coolant was low it would be topped up. I check my car on a regular basis as I drive to London and back every month. However on this occasion I actually hadnt checked it for over a month, so agreed for it to be checked ( thinking to myself that if anything is low it will be topped up).My oil coolant and screen wash was low. You gladly topped up my screen wash but nothing else, I was just advised. I would of not paid £15.00 to be told this and feel like this was missold to me ( I feel ripped off to be honest).

Meh. If you're in Halfords for car parts you're probably there to get something quickly or you've looked online and you don't mind paying a little extra to get you're wiper blades, oil, zip ties etc on the day you need it. I also don't feel it's fare to compare the store now to how it was years ago. Markets change I don't expect them to keep offering paint and licence plate services if it's not working out. And I wont totally say they are not without worth. I do like their tools and they have a decent range of car cleaning products. But what rustled my jimmies was asking if I want an e-mail receipt or nothing. I just want a record of the sale. If I ask to be opt'ed out of spam etc I don't want to get an e-mail days later asking for market research. I've got nothing better to do stuck at home working then to spend my lunch time being sassy about stuff that really doesn't matter.

I purchased a car stereo and had it fitted at H alfords east gate which after four visits and months of it Not working correctly i then got told to go to Brislington as east gate don't do stereos any more (thank god). My car was looked at by Paul who immediately diagnosed the problem and in an hour and a half fixed what the other store couldn't manage in 8 months. He was polite, friendly and also showed me some tips on how to use the stereo more effectively. Halfords please keep hold of this man. He is an asset to your company.

I went to purchase new wiper blades. The touchscreen manual didn't find the front blades for my vehicle (Ford mondeo). The sales assistant found the right ones for me which I purchased. When I fitted them in the car park I realised that one was the wrong size. I went back in and was told that it was something that happened from time to time. He went and exchanged them for two single blades of the same size and applied a trade discount to bring the price down (they were more expensive individually). I still paid an extra pound but to be honest the effort that he made to get the job done more than justified it. I rated 3 because the staff were fantastic but the process of finding a wiper blade was easier when it was just a reference book.

We bought a bike online and had it made at halfords in brislington for our son’s Christmas present. On Christmas Day my son rode the bike once and the plastic casing around the chain snapped when he fell off. We took it in today (Boxing Day) and Ben said he could fix it. Within 15 mins it was all fixed and ready to go. We can not thank Ben enough. Our son was so happy and went straight out on it! Thank you Ben- you were amazing!

I'd read the reviews online and did wonder how it would be after seeing the negative reviews but WOW what a pleasant surprise ... We were served by Sam who, despite the store being short staffed because of the summer holidays, gave us his undivided attention with a great attitude. He smiled as he changed the lightbulb, was really helpful helping us choose the right colour paint for the car. Thanks Sam, we'll be back again x
