Staff excellent Products i bought were good - excellent. So overall I was a satisfied customer. but Whilst the bike helmet i bought was strong comfortable and good quality for the price, its built in rear light is best described as "better than nothing" but no where near as Bright as I'd have expected it to be. So slightly disappointed with that.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. Especially the lady who changed our light bulb. These manufacturers make things as difficult as possible to change anything. She had to take our whole back tail light off, to be able to change one of the bulbs. She was brilliant and wasn't fazed at all. Thank you and well done.

On entering the building there was a clear walkway and it was very clean a tidy, showroom had good lighting, was greeted and asked if I needed any help, the shelfs were a bit empty but that is like everywhere else at the moment, I got what I came for so I was happy, greeted again by a young lady at the till and asked a few questions( email etc) I paid and left....welcome all

Be really careful when buying anything from them! The sales guy told me that if I applied for the financing plan and got accepted, I would be able to get the bike displayed in 30 seconds. However, it turns out that the bike wasn't in stock, and the sales guy didn't tell me that very important detail that I would have to wait a week for it to be delivered to the store. And I did NOT know it until I had a been accepted for the financing plan. First I didn't get accepted tor the 12 month plan but once I got accepted for the 3 month one, the guy refused to confront me and had to hide behind his colleague when I found out I was "expected" (not guaranteed) to get the bike next week. If something is not in stock, don't display it and don't tell someone they'll get it immediately! Before you buy anything from them on credit, ask them if the item on display is in stock. EDIT: The issue was quickly resolved. I want to thank the staff for being so quick to find a solution. While I do believe items that aren't in stock shouldn't be displayed, it's something I will have to keep in mind for the future. COVID is probably disrupting the deliveries, and the staff are clearly working as hard as they can during the current circumstances. Inconveniences aside, the shop offers many nice things, and the bikes are definitely of great quality for the price. Just make sure to ask if an item is in stock before buying it, it's definitely something I will keep in mind for the future.

I can not say enough about my visit to Halfords yesterday to buy wiper blades for my car. I was served by Jenny and I can't remember the last time when I had someone who was pleasant, very polite and most of all couldn't do enough to help me. I sometimes find cycle repair shops intimidating. Staff can look down their nose at you and if you’re not head to toe in Lycra (with obviously enough knowledge to do your own repair) you feel out of place. Nothing of that here! I’m a deliveroo and on Friday evening my derailleur exploded on route to a customer. Jordan expertly fitted a new one and I was quickly back on the road. Very reasonably priced and really great customer service, I can’t speak highly enough about the Halfords service and will certainly be using them from now on. Thank you so much!

This shop has been brilliant for all of my bike needs to date and the store really excelled itself today when I turned up in a distressed state with my four year old son and my write off of a bike. Not only did they help me to clean my oily hands but they were understanding of my four year old son who was also stressed out and therefore performing and built me a brand new bike on the same day. Went to Halford to get a child car seat fitted and it was great to have a female worker fit it. She showed us how to make sure it fit properly and she also fitted my other car seat which I had to take out the day before. She (Jenny, I think) was friendly and patient. Good selection of car seats too at an affordable price.

So would give 5 stars for them but I had tried to call beforehand and could not get past the halfords main call centre to a specific store. Both times the women on the phone could not seem to comprehend that I just wanted them to connect me to a specific store to ask if they had the product (wanted to see the bike in person) on the shop floor which was very annoying! They both just put me on hold and I eventually had to give up.

Ordered online, it was easy as chips, put in your car ref and it brings up all items for your car, buy the one you want and pick it up when they txt you it’s ready. Nice fast friendly staff, less then 5mins and I was sorted!

After a few false starts and some dodgy advice,I'm pleased to say that I am now a satisfied customer. I was trying to get the stereo unit in my partner's car upgraded,but initially told to source some parts myself that turned out to be the wrong parts anyway! Today,both Dan the fitter and the assistant manager understood my frustration following four visits to get the fitting completed,and both went out of their way to secure the relevant parts at very short notice and worked together to make up for the time I'd wasted already that morning. As a final act of customer care, I was not charged for the parts,just the unit and fitting. Overall, I felt the staff I dealt with today helped me out enough that I would recommend the store/service and will look to use them again in the future.

My closest shop is actually the one on Excelsior road but after having numerous bad/rude experiences with them, my dad and I thought that we should change stores and let me tell you that this was a great decision! The people here are so nice and helpful and I’m writing this review as they need much more appreciation. After complications with the tech, they still allowed my dad to take his bike (that he was collecting from them) as we had already made the trip down there. They also kindly fixed on some bike accessories on my dad’s and on mine, one of which they allowed us to have for free! 🥺 My dad also had a nice, friendly chat with one of the staff/guys, sharing his knowledge about paths etc. The atmosphere is just so much better and I really hope it stays that way :))

Popped in to get my bulbs checked as a friend told me one of my brake lights was out. Good free check of the basics (bulbs, wiper blades, fluid levels, battery etc), confirmed the faulty bulb and also rear wiper in a bad state. Bought both and had them fitted, all very efficient, in and out within 15 minutes.

So after having a terrible experience buying a second hand Imdur from gumtree and having all sorts of problems as the warranty didn’t transfer over to me and I literally had problem after problem as it became clear the bike wasn’t put together by a professional! Avoid all imdur bikes they’re not fit for purpose! Rant over. I decided to bite the bullet and purchase a Carrera Vulcan from Halfords and taken the care package, would just like to say thank you to Jon, Josh and Gary for all your help in restoring my confidence into a mountain biking, really enjoying my rides and it’s amazing knowing any problems (which haven’t had any since) I can take to workshop and will be fixed no troubles!!
