I visited the Gloucester store today to get bulbs fitted. I was offered a free vehicle health check The staff were very friendly and helpful. And as I am dumb when it comes to topping up fluids etc Mike Even showed me how to top up coolant etc! Great service Guys. I will prob use for my next service /Mot

Excellent customer service supplying and fitting a dashcam. Arranged at a time of my convenience over the phone and fitted by Joe, who was knowledgeable, helpful and courteous. Very tidy job and took us through how it works when completed. A shame that my phone calls were directed to a call centre and have to be returned. Company management should just let the branch staff deal with the customers as they know them and the business better.

I popped into Halfords this morning and as I went to speak to Lucy, at reception, I had an awful coughing fit with a few sneezes thrown in for good measure. She was SO patient with me and concerned. She gave me a bottle of chilled water and some paper to dab my eyes. Then smiley Joe came out and fitted my front windscreen wiper for me. All in all, a fabulous experience instead of the humiliation it could have been. Well done to Lucy and Joe.

Rarely do I write a review, but I have been very impressed with Gloucester Halfords. Ordered a tow bar bike rack online for collection. The very helpful staff informed me that I could get an extra 20% off if I bought a cheap kids balance bike. The staff initiated a refund for the difference and I also have a balance bike towards my son's Christmas. Initially the refund didn't go through as expected but after a short chat with customer services, refund was completed on the same day. They clearly care about customer service.

Excellent service at the Gloucester branch Maybe not the cheapest compared to say buying online but the knowledgeable, friendly and helpful staff and selection of products that you can physically see outweighs this. Used the fitting service and was helped by Mike who was fantastic. Quick and easy service and not badly priced with the added bonus that it saved me a job! Plus given a free car check which was a lovely addition.

I used click and collect for a cycle accessory on the understanding that at the store I could use my discount card even though I had paid for it online. Adam went that extra mile to explain company policy and the voucher procedure. Even when there was an issue with the app he was there to help. 1st class customer service. I popped in yesterday to look for a shock pump which had just sold out, but the super helpful Sam jumped over to the bike service centre to see if there was one available to pump up my rear shock, the only one available was one of their techs (Dale) own personal one which he let us use. Being in the service industry myself, I can only say what a breath of fresh air (no pun intended) it is for someone to just help like that with such ease - Halfords, these lads are obviously customer focused and in an industry where customer service isn't always at the forefront as such, they should be valued well and their customer-centric approach celebrated within the business. Discussed upgrade light bulbs for a classic car. Store assistant was very knowledgeable and understood my requirements, recomending bulbs from the Halfords advanced range giving direct replacement, improved performance, no increase in power consumption, retain original appearance and be road legal.

Updated: Below is a pic of the man that restored my faith. His name is Ben. He is from Halfords Gloucester. He was brilliant, he listened, he acted and then further advised. Take a bow 'Sir Ben'. Yes, the pedal fell off, which is not great, or safe, but the crank issue was not as it appeared in the original images. The ability for a client to share pics of the problem with the technical team would have made this a 10min interaction and not a 2 day issue & 10 phone calls later. The call centre staff member that incorrectly booked the support appointment, really escalated this issue and should be better trained. -Original Post: Purchased an e-bike for my daughter for Uni, the first time she takes it out the pedal falls off and it looks like the entire crank shaft assembly is loose. Can't believe that these bike builds are not quality controlled. Very unsafe. We have tried for two days to get a booking to get it looked at in Exeter and after having one confirmed it appears the call centre staff have booked the wrong store (in a different city) on the wrong day. I have tried to share the photos of the issue to the Exeter store, but they advise they have no way to receive them. Maybe they can see them on here. Poor quality product, poor workmanship, poor aftersales service.Very disappointing!

Easy to find bulbs/wiper blades etc, just enter your reg into the tablets in store or use the website. Also a large selection of bikes/tools/accessories and more. Staff are also really helpful, fitting is useful especially for bulbs. Fitters are friendly and in my experience knowledgeable and will on most occasions will give you pointers on how to fit the bulb your self I'm the future.

Online and telephone experience all excellent but found store disorganised and chaotic, not enough staff for number of customers. I’ve left 5 stars though as they did come good and fitted the battery I ordered online with fitting charge refunded. Store layout bit user unfriendly when it's busy due to tills being toward centre of the store however would be pleasant for when it's quiet. The isles are narrow in some areas compared to other stores. Store was well stocked on the most part. Only few items of Auto Finnesse not on the shelf. Staff were friendly and did work well together to lower the queue. Car cleaning has really improved in Halfords over the years.

I'd definitely recommend! I ordered a new battery for my car to be fitted through Halfords. I accidentally selected the wrong date and time, so I called up their customer service and asked them to change it. Unfortunately, they didn't turn up on the amended date. I called up their team and spoke to Neil, who looked into the issue. He was very open and took ownership of the error on behalf of another colleague and offered a satisfactory reimbursement for the inconvenience. The Fitter, Mike, called ahead of the fitting/delivery time to see if we wanted to have it fitted earlier as he was available. He was still happy to wait until the booked time but it was a good service to ring ahead and offer the option.

I was really pleasantly suprised when I visited the store on 18th July, I went handed with a list of things to get from hubby which included a Ford paint code (turned out to be wrong). Unfortunately the paint code guides didn't have all the cars and paint codes so I wasn't sure if the white I picked up was the right one....and no body wants an unintentional two tone car! I went to the desk and paid for my other items but asked for some clarification if the paint I picked up was the right one, the lady in the till could not have been more helpful, she checked for me and even provided me with a piece of paper and pen to go and check the plaques in the car which should indicate the paint code. I ended up taking photos of these plaques because none indicated the paint code that was obvious! So I went back in returning the paper and pen and armed with the photos......we were still a bit puzzled and the lady on the till next to us helped....got her mobile phone and check somewhere else and managed to find the right code (it was the one I'd picked up!). I was so relieved and impressed with the customer service of Katie and Sue! Thank you again x

I dropped into Halfords on a Saturday after cycling 30 miles of my Lands End to John O Groats trip on 3 years after my rear ca snapped. The nipple was caught in the shifter so I couldn't fix it myself. Ben, the cycle store manager sorted it out between serving other customers. He didnt have to do that and really went over and above. He literally saved the trip I've been planned for 2 years.

Some cars can be difficult to fit with replacement light bulbs. Why struggle with skinned knuckles and other frustrations when Halfords can fit the item without fuss? Admit when you are not the expert and let a trained person do it. A small additional cost results in a stress free experience.

Holly fitted it incorrectly/ took a lot of effort and strength to put in and said “it’s too hard to change” was very dismissive when my Mum said she wouldn’t be able to do that if she needed to remove it. My Mum said that wouldn’t work for her and she wanted to choose another one and was told my Holly she wasn’t entitled to a refund as “she had chosen it” and made her leave. My Mum tried to contest this but was shot down. We had to travel a 40 mile round trip to the branch to sort this out in person and get the correct car seat as Holly was so rude and clearly doesn’t know how to treat others. The other members of staff on our return were very helpful and ensured we had our needs met correctly. Shame one bad apple spoiled our experience.

Required an urgent product for my car. Was unsure if Halfords would be open during current 'lockdown'. I googled the product/Halfords and found it was available for either home delivery or click & collect. Home delivery took too long for my requirements and so I opted for click & collect. I visited on Tuesday 22nd, just last week and spoke to a young girl called Abi, from start to finish she was nothing short of excellent, she took my enquiry seriously but was also able to show interest in my purchase. Abi went above and beyond to attempt to source the 3rd piece of my Thule roof bar puzzle from another local store, unfortunately the other branch’s stock was out. Although the assistant manager in this store recommended i source the 3rd piece from a competitor (Amazon) i still opted to purchase the two parts Abi had tracked down for me, as her service was excellent. After fitting the Thule roof bars this weekend just gone, i can happily report the kit was identified correctly and fitting was a breeze, i cannot fault this service whatsoever!

Absolutely amazing service. I dropped in to Halfords on the off chance that they’d be able to help me with a very random car problem. My mobile phone had got lodged behind the steering wheel and there was no obvious way of removing it without getting the airbag out. Despite being fully booked, John the manager agreed to help and patiently found tools to try and dislodge the stuck phone. Jordan, one of the mechanics also stopped what he was doing and eventually managed to get the phone out through a small gap at the bottom of the steering section. Both were so calm and humorous about this situation. When I offered to pay, they wouldn’t take any money. I honestly can’t thank the staff enough for getting my lifeline back in one piece. Will be returning for MOT etc even though i live 10 miles away as feel I can truly trust this garage.
