Keith was able to explain very clearly the various types of Hybrid there are in the Nissan range and guide us through to a suitable model in a very honest straightforward way. It is not an easy decision to make coming from an old diesel car to the very modern technology of a Hybrid car and it is extremely confusing. Have been searching for a vehicle for over a week now, visited the Gloucester branch of Wessex and dealt with Keith Gobal a very personable and pleasant salesperson. He went out of his way to help with me my search. Mixed experiences here. Overcharged us on the advertised price for an EV service (which is a ludicrous price anyway) promised to refund the difference 1 month later rather than immediately (for 'reasons'). Didn't, we had to chase it, got it refunded eventually. Left the car with little charge after the service despite having multiple charging points on the forecourt... so then had to wait for it to charge enough to get home comfortably. The CHAdeMO seems quite slow. Elderly male employee wandering around the car park being rude to customers probably needs training/retirement / euthanizing (or maybe he doesn't like women / electric cars / days with a y in them...). Other staff (Jamie?) polite and helpful.

Overall a very good experience. All members of the team who dealt with my sale were excellent explaining each step of the process of the handover and purchase of my new car. Nothing was too much trouble, they managed to squeeze my old car in for an MOT ,and even gave me and my mum a lift into town and back whilst this was completed! I was so happy to be treated so well here both by Harrison and Josh. I had my reservations about going on my own to buy my new car as I wanted to take some time and make the right decision. Harrison greeted me with a big smile and reassurance that there would be no pressure at all. I found the car I liked most and Harrison went over all the details about the car and other alternatives in the same range. I was lucky that we both had the time for a test drive there and then and that was it, I was in love with the car but not the colour. When we got back to the showroom Harrison had a chat with Josh who said he would search his internet thing to see if any of the other Wessex dealers had one. Harrison sat with me and offered me a coffee whilst we waited. Josh came back and informed us that there was a car and that he could get it for me the following week. All paperwork done and dusted, Gap Insurance explained by Harrison and I'm so glad he did as I had no idea it existed, I always thought my insurers would pay the cost of the car but not so! They would only have paid the second hand book price, and I would have had to pay the difference between what I had paid for the car and what the insurers had paid, even if I had an accident just a few minutes from buying the car! Anyway I am rambling! I collected the car just over a week later, right colour, right model, and most definitely the right salesmen to go to. Both these gentlemen were polite, fully informed, every question answered. I would fully recommend both Harrison and Josh of Wessex in Gloucester if you are even considering a new car. Informative and proffesional thank you Nick for your help This is an addition to my original review When we went to site I expressed the fact that my credit rating was poor but I was willing to try and obtain finance but we were as expected decline. To go forward to the finance we had to pay a deposit of £100 pounds refundable if decline we are now 1week and 1 day from the supposed refund of the £100 and still not in the bank. Whilst tolerant I feel the 6 working days to refund the deposit in the age of fast payments etching seems to be taking the Mick. My payment was instantaneous. Therefore why 4/5 days to refund the £100 and why on day 6 is there no evidence if the money returning to my account. With this in mind maybe my 5 star was a little hasty

Just concluded purchasing my new Sportage through the Kia dealership, very ably handled throughout by Wayne Essex. After having a Cee’d for several years and well looked after by Wessex throughout ownership by the service team, I went in with an idea of exactly what I wanted after doing my homework on models and prices. Wayne warmly greeted me and very quickly identified several models in stock but steered me towards one coming in the following week which matched exactly what I was after and within my price range. Wayne kept me up to date throughout the sale process (even to the point of popping in at my home on his way home from the office to pick up some paperwork and to bring my son a birthday present!) and I believe he genuinely did everything he could to get me the best possible deal for my money and not just treat me as another punter. Just got home after collecting the new car today and I’m pleased as punch, cannot recommend Wayne, Wessex Kia and the rest of the team higher! What can I say?! In a flat out panic to find the right car in double quick time I went to Nissan after visiting several different dealerships last weekend. Greeted by Matt and Peter I was treated with respect and had their full attention and without all the smarmy sales rubbish I had experienced at other dealerships (!) that weekend, and I visited many.. My search requirements were taken into consideration whilst a nationwide search for a car to suit was undertaken with earnest! by both Matt and Peter. Matt took me on a test drive in the best match vehicle which turned out to exceed my expectations. On my own with virtually no knowledge of cars or finance Matt and Peter explained everything superbly and in plain English so as to not to hide anything and only moved on when I fully understood everything about the selection of offers that suited not only my purse but my circumstances. What a breathe of fresh air!! Between them they sourced a car, had it into the dealership within a couple of days, valeted and a call to pick up in no time at all. Matt went through all the controls and answered all the questions I have, wow, what knowledge... In less than 4 days I had my car and love it !!! I chose the Juke Acenta and it's amasaazing! I never normally write reviews but I just had to after my experience here. Right from the start I felt in control there was no normal sales speech that I expected and that made me feel I could look and pick the car right for me and not what the salesman wanted me to have. I spoke to a very nice man named Sean, nothing was ever too much I rang and emailed about the car I wanted and I probably drive him mad but he was so pleasant to speak to and answered every question I had. I arranged to view the car and went for a test drive. Everything I wanted to know was explained, I didn't feel pressured into getting this guy a sale I felt excited I was buying a new family car. After I purchased the car he kept me updated with the day and time it would be delivered and I even got flowers when my car was delivered! I can't thank the garage and especially Sean enough I am over the moon with my new car and it feels all the better knowing I could trust who I was buying it from. I took charge of my new Nissan Qashqai Friday and it had to be the best handover I have experienced to-date. Anthony, the representative who had steered me through all the necessary paperwork did so with a high degree of professionalism making it a trouble free and pleasant event. Having put me at ease with his no rush attitude he was able and willing to answer all my questions. In the comfort of the show room Anthony ran me through all the Qashqai updates and improvements (my Last car was a Qashqai) offering me the opportunity to take the car for a test drive as my previous car was a manual, this one being an automatic. With patience he ran through the many changes to the computer and linked my telephone which meant I could start using it immediately. As the weekend draws to a close and all is well with the car, I have received a telephone message from Anthony just checking to make sure all is well. Keen original price for s/h Kia, but then lots of extras pushed onto the sale which you have to fight quite hard not to buy if you don't want them. e.g. "Wessex Delivery Pack" for £199.00. This was the hardest one to argue against. In my case it would only have gained me £30 worth of fuel as all the other things were unusable or not needed. Others were: Tyre and Wheel Insurance/Premier Warranty/a treatment to make the paintwork resist rain and dirt (shouldn't it anyway?)/Total Loss Insurance. Each of these coming in at around £300. Buyer needs to sign an "I'm completely stupid" statement each time one of these is refused! "Transparency" isn't a term that I would have used in describing the deal, but all was fine and dandy in the end.
