I am disabled. Lisa from unit 9 phoned me to say that there was only one of my items in stock, but offered to order and reserve them for store pick up. She is phoning me when they will be ready to collect. I also have had a text and 2 x e-mails. Lisa was such a helpfull and lovely woman. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Do a bit of research on the website and Google about any products you may need to purchase. I've been in here 3 times over the last couple of days at different times and you'll struggle to find anyone to help with products or have someone point you in the right direction. Just a couple of floor staff would be great and that what let's my review down to 3 stars. Producer selection is always good and price is average.

The staff here in Halfords couldn't have been more helpful. Very friendly and helpful and they know what they were talking about. They lost my brother in laws new bike for a couple of hours, it was in the shop. And due to this he got a good discount on his new cycle hat. The day we went back to Halfords to pick up the bike we had great banter with the staff I always say that when we go into any shop it's good to be able to have a laugh and good banter and the staff in this Halfords were very friendly and handled my cheek with ease.

A decent auto/bike store and friendly helpful staff. You can get most of the brand names here and also a good selection of halfords own brand products which are surprisingly good. The prices are a bit higher than similar stores but not too expensive overall? I shop here quite a bit for car cleaning and maintenance products and I would say its a decent store

Needed a bulb changed on my Mercedes estate. YouTube video showed the front wheel and inner valance had to be removed as access was so difficult from the engine compartment. To add insult to injury there are two types of bulb and you had to remove it first to check. Not a happy bunny I set off to my local Halfords expecting to buy two bulbs and then go home and spend half a day replacing the bulb. The guy in Halfords thought he could do the swap without all the faff. I was a bit sceptical as I had tried and failed miserably to even get my hand near the bulb cover from inside the engine compartment. However to my amazement he had smaller hands than me and after about ten minutes he had taken out the old bulb and replaced with the new. A real bargain at only £16.95. It really made my day and saved me a lot of hassle. If you need an awkward bulb changed take yourself off to Halfords - they are the experts. Five stars from me.

If your looking for a skateboard or bicycle then it's fine, if your looking for car parts they don't stock that much, and even the cost to fit parts is just a rip off, what used to be a car parts store has become don't fix it your self we can charge you lots to fit it ,and order it. Best to order online from much better supplier.

Bought a dash cam about 11months ago it was a next base 312 during that time not one problem until this week, for some reason it started to play up (would not record) and me not being on a dash cam level , I decided to phone the store and ask if they could help,the guy on the end of the phone very helpful asked if I could bring the car in. This I did and was helped out by Hugh who diagnosed the fault within minutes as being a data card, that was full and after wiping it clean hey ho dash camera working. Very professional and friendly service.

I just read another reviewer say the red haired girl at this shop was arrogant. I was served by a red haired girl tonight when I went in to get a bulb changed on my van. Ally was polite, chatty, smiley, down to earth and sound as a pound. Did the job with no hassle and did it correctly. A credit to Halfords. Having waited nearly 8 weeks for an item to be in stock, it seems that the item is permanently out of stock despite Halfords constantly saying it is due in the next 2 weeks. The in store stock of auto finesse is laughable and the staff (when I visited) seemed under trained and inexperienced and had to rely on someone else for any decision they had to make Update: My next visit was a little better but stock levels and selection still need attention

In contrast with what I expected after reading the reviews here, everything about this place was great. Not only do they work late enough to visit after work, but the both staff who I've chanced upon were great. Especially my initial visit as someone who doesn't know much about bikes, the comparison and assistance I received with selecting a bike was very knowledgeable and helpful. Unfortunately you can't buy a bike on the spot, but I was called when it was ready for me to pick up and pay. Overall, well-stocked and reasonably fast service, with helpful and friendly staff and no match in opening times.

I visited recently to purchase a new car battery and paid for the fitting service also. Unfortunately, my car is a little weird and wonderful under the bonnet so the guys were unable to fit it. They very kindly got me jump started so I could take my new battery elsewhere to be fitted and waited with my running car so I could go back into the store to get the refund they insisted I get on the fitting service. I would have been more than happy to leave without the refund given how much effort and help was provided. Definitely 5 star service.

I have been booking in all the family bikes for a health check and service, the young man named Ross is an asset to the company and certainly takes customer service to the next level, he truly is the nicest staff member in Halfords Livingston, today I had the delight of being served by a young lady I believe her name is Ali, if she had been my first experience at Halfords it would be my last. Great team at the Halford store in Livingston. Jim knows his stuff extremely knowledgeable Served within minutes, ereceipt great as I always chuck the paper copies so that's a plus. Never had any issues dealing with the employees here. Store well presented. Your store would benefit from more promotional material externally like the autocentres have.especially as it's in the corner of the retail park. A shopper who is there to visit some other store would never know Halford's its there The store is hidden by the tent especially If vehicles under it. That being said the colleagues and products are great. No issues in that respect.

In for aftermarket cone air filter to swap while cleaning current one. Limited brands available although affordable at £20 - £25. Would benefit fitment greatly by supplying metal joining pipe around 60-65mm diameter. There are rubber packers in the box to take up any gap but not for joining rubber filter neck to silicone samco hose...

I was looking for a scooter for my granddaughter I looked into Halfords and found a scooter I wanted for her so I phoned the help line to ask if I purchase a scooter from the shop will Halfords build the scooter for me I was told that would be ok When I got to the shop the following day I picked up the scooter that I wanted and asked the two behind the counter if they could build up the scooter for me to take away with me At first they said it would be a couple of days but after checking the bookings for that day the girls said that there was a free 10 minutes and quickly built the scooter for me What a great gesture and if the rest of the staff at this shop are the same can do attitude then this would be great Thanks girls for the brilliant service you have made my granddaughter very very happy
