Popped into the store to purchase some windscreen wipers. The touchscreen equipment aid provided four items, the ones I purchased were not compatible with my car due to its age. I returned them the following day, no problem the young lady at the check out was very polite and helpful, I decided to have the wipers fitted and the young guy that fitted them was very helpful and knowledgeable on autos and he also provided some information on car performance and efficiency that would help beef up my older car. On January 28. I had to go buy a light bulb for my motorcycle And the thin guy, almost blonde hair with glasses, I don't remember his name. He was very friendly and very professional. His customer service was excellent. And he helped me solve my problem. They should have more staff like him, his joy could be transmitted to others. And he make you feel good. You could chat with him without problems. Was around 18:30pm When I went to the store He was the only one working in the till :D

Back in November last year I stopped by the store when my car alerted me that I had a puncture while driving. Damian checked my tyre for me and went the extra mile by helping me see if any garages were open since it could not be fixed immediately at the store. He offered a temporary solution in the end to get me home safely. I had my newborn in the car (just 6 weeks old) and I did not know how to use the repair kit so he asked his colleague who was resistant at first as he was busy but Damian explained the situation on my behalf and convinced his colleague to help me (in the end that colleague told me to follow the instructions so was not much help). Before Damian handed me over to his colleague he said he would talk me through it if he had to. I took away a star because of Damian’s colleague, otherwise the service I received was exceptional.

I took a friends two bikes with brake problems. The 1st one, brakes were fixed, cable changed, gears adjusted and tightened, pads adjusted, brake handles tightened, The 1st, worse bike, i was looked after by Harold, (the name given by a second guy) with 5 star treatment and was quoted £23 and then discounted to £20 as curtesy. The 2nd, i was 1st quoted £32.50 by a different young man, which i disputed as it was in better condition than the 1st. He then quoted £21.50 extremely reluctantly after i almost had to shout that it did not make sense that the quote and payment were much lower two hours previously. We agreed £21.50. I was watching what he was doing and he then said he needed to get a screw. He then finished his plan out of my sight. He did a poor job as my gear handle was looser than before i brought it in. The right brake was also loose although i had previously checked the bike over and the right brake was perfect. He tightened it but not tight enough. The wheel still rubs on the brake pad. (I aint taking back for him to mess it up further.) Then he said £22.50 which i said its gone up but was not arguing. Then i swiped my card. On checking later i noted he put through £22.99. I would not recommend you take your bike in here as not all staff can be trusted. 5 stars for Harold. 2 stars for the South Asian guy and thats being generous because his attitude is a big middle finger to courtesy. Although hes polite it just feels like he feels hard done by and so does a bodge job because he couldnt squeeze my wallet the way he would like too. And he makes you feel like if you have anything else to request he will mess it up because he dont like doing the job so it was best i just stay quiet. If he reads this review he might do better in future. Arranging the appointment over the phone was a pleasant experience and the lady was polite and efficient so she gets 5 stars. She booked me in for two slots one after the other. Harold was good to give me an opportunity to bring the other bike later as i couldn't get both bikes in the car. Problem is i did not think my experience would be dampened by other guy. I think i will recommend you find a different Halfords to deal with a bike because you don't know which worker is good when you know at least one or more is bad...... A lot of us had jobs we did not want and had to deal with difficult customers but we were not allowed to give customers bad vibes.

Went in to grab some de-icing gear for the car and found what I needed straight away. I was served by Mahajabeen who was absolutely lovely - friendly, super helpful and efficient. Definitely one of the best customer service experiences I've had. Answered all my questions and gave addition advice. Will be going back soon!

I went to get my bike fixed after getting a flat tyre. I waited patiently to be served. I watched the staff team handle customer queries with great professionalism. They knew the products and really took time to ensure customers got the best products. I was very impressed. When it was my turn Harold was very helpful. He looked at my bike and knew what to do. He helped recommend tyres and reassured me when I showed him my gears were spinning around the handle bar, that it could be fixed. When I collected my bike I was so happy, it looked and felt great. Got some green slime to stave off punctures for a while. A big thank you to Harold and the team. I will not hesitate to recommend them to others and will return for some accessories.

Mo at Halfords Brixton is fantastic! I bought a cheap bike rack online with very little instruction of how to safely secure it. Mo was only too happy to help and recommend the right product and guidance to safely secure my bike at very little cost. In hindsight, I would've gone straight to Halfords! I went to the store last Monday on the off chance you were open. You were and the service your employee provided me that night was brilliant. There was hand sanitizer at the entrance and shop was empty on a Monday so no problems with queuing - only issue was myself and one other customer were kept waiting for 10-15mins until someone came to help us (i had to go and search for a Halfords shop assistant first, who then disappeared into the back, as no one was around on the shop floor). When I was finally being helped the service was great!

If it’s online exclusive it’s usually sent to the store of your choice. Had a mix of services from staff on different occasions so I rate between 3 and 4 depending on who's on duty... some go above and beyond to help and exercise some common sense whilst a couple take longer to process information or even understand the customers need resulting in initial rude interaction followed by over compensated friendliness. Would save a lot of time if staff wear gloves or at least clean hands before handling bikes upon collection as my childs brand new white and fold bike was presented to me dirty. It took another member of staff to.prompt his colleague to wipe it down following our disappointment. Service could be quicker. Bikes sold with accessories do not come fixed unless you buy for that separately... again this should be made clearer at point of online purchase. On a positive they have been brilliant with fitting car seats and performing annual bike checks.

The fitting service is really worth it. The bulbs didn’t fit so he swapped them for others and I was off. If I’d had tried to fit it myself it would have been half a day wasted and two trips out, lots of queuing and much swearing.

Halfords in Brixton must have a very good manager as the staff there are consistently good natured and helpful. Compared with my experiences at Catford Halfords (consistently hellish) - it is heaven! I am more than happy to travel to Brixton from Sydenham, rather than go to the awful Catford branch, just to know I'll be spoken to civilly, be helped, and more often than not, have a laugh!

Having recently bought a car i'm very new to the world of Halfords, but I have to say they have been most helpful. Specially Paul (who fits the stereos). He did a fantastic job and gave me some advice about other little issues my car had. Paul was helpful, quick and very experienced in what he does. Paul fitted my stereo a couple of months ago. The service was great but unfortunately there was a slight issue with one of the dials as he had to take the dash off to fit it. After visiting two stores in reading (where I now live) no one would fix it! The Brixton store were great, fixed it in about 15 mins and payed my mileage to drive from reading. They seem to go above and beyond unlike the stores in reading...

I would like to thank Leon from halfords in Brixton!!! I visited the store after 4pm to purchase a bike for my toddler. I wanted the bike assembled but this seemed unlikely as the store was quite busy. A member of staff went to check and told me it would have to be tomorrow. However i managed to talk to Leon and after a short conversation he told me he would try but couldn't guarantee it as they were busy building bikes at the back for other customers (clever enough to have booked online). He told me to return about 7.30pm. In the end i returned just after 7 and the bike was ready!!! excellent service - thank you Halfords and Leon in particular *****

Halfords Brixton's bike shop is great. Got my bike serviced here for the 2nd time today under the unbelievably good value annual subscription and my gears (Shimano 105s) are shifting like a dream! All ready for my long ride tomorrow. 2 of the 3 guys working today were staff I'd dealt with last year - always good for a customer to get a familiar face, and they were as good mannered and professional as before. Given the cycling culture in London, Halford's have got it right if they're making a point of investing in their Bike Shop department. And I also bought a bike pump and an air freshener for my car, just incase the price of the annual servicing deal is supposed to promote upsell ;) Thanks, Jonny
