I visited yesterday to try and suss out the size of bicycle to purchase for my daughter. The male customer service advisor upstairs was very merry, asked me if I needed any help and was very interactive with the music that was playing, spoke with his colleagues as though they had great rapport although I could not hear what they were saying. He seemed as though he thoroughly enjoyed his job and bid me farewell when I was going, made me certain that myself and my partner would return to purchase our daughters bike and accessories with her (for measurement purposes) for Christmas in as much as a covert way as possible 🤣

Absolutely outstanding. "Popped" in as one of the bulbs had gone on the work van headlamps...forty extremely wet minutes later Cyril and Glenn had successfully completed the challenge Nissan seemingly set for them, having tried all sorts of impossibly contortionism they ended up taking the entire front grill of the van off to get the whole headlights out, to replace the bulbs. In the sopping rain. And cold. On a Sunday. With some ridiculous geezer's exhaust blowing down their throats (if you're that bloke, reading this, you really are a tool). Honestly they went above, beyond, and then some considerably way further to sort me out for less than the price of 3 coffees and were magnificently polite start to finish. Cannot recommend highly enough. In fact, go and break a headlight now, go on, break one of your own, then get over to them and see just how brilliant they are. Cyril and Glenn. Ideally not if you've got a Nissan van though.

I made a quick call to check they had the item i required, a battery for a scooter to replace the dead one, which they confirmed they had 2 in stock. This is 7:00pm and the shop was open until 8pm and fortunately not far away. So hopped in the car picked up the battery and back home in no time. A very pleasant experience and staff very helpful and have my new battery.

Excellent service as usual. The only disappointment / frustration was the number of customers not wearing masks in spite of notices stating that masks were compulsory in the store. I am a hospital consultant and I can’t believe that all of the customers I saw not wearing masks were exempt. If the government has evidence that masks are important - especially with the omicron variant being highly contagious - mask wearing indoors should be enforced. This applies everywhere - same in Brent Cross shopping centre. Security staff are not empowered to enforce mask wearing so a large proportion of customers seem to refuse to take this important precaution.

I came to pick up a bike helmet from click and collect, when I picked it up someone had put the wrong size aside for me. Lejaune served me (found his name on my receipt) and I just want to say, thos guy is an absolute legend. I was worried that I was going to be told that there was no helmet for me as we struggled to find one in the size I'd reserved but no, he went the extra mile to keep looking and help me out. He solved the problem with a smile on his face and great customer service. I just want to say thank you so much for his help, you're a star!!

I had my dash cam fitted at Halfords Hendon around 22 December 2021. This was after months of deliberation on which dash cam to get. I so happy with the product and would like to say thank you for the service I received at the Hendon store, starting from the excellent assistance from the lady at the customer service desk, to the great, competent, and very efficient service from Peter who fitted the dash cam. I waited in-store whilst my dash cam was fitted and noticed the festive atmosphere and how welcoming the staff were to customers.

Very happy with the service I received earlier this week. I purchased a dash cam and Cyril was able to fit me in on the day. I was expecting to wait for a couple of weeks after calling the store. Peter who installed the Dash Cam also fitted my front beam lights and advised me to get my rear windscreen wiper replaced. I’ve had outstanding customer experience every time I’ve been to this Hendon store whether buying a new car seat where the salesman came out to my car so he could better advise on the right one, buying learner bikes for grandkids and more recently a festival tent for the eldest grandson. They went over and beyond to pick up a tent from another store who had stock so it would be there for me when I returned from holiday.

I got pulled over by a really ar**y police officer as my brake light literally blew on the A1 on my way home. I went straight to the store half hour before closing and the men in there where so helpful. The quickly sourced the correct bulb for me and fitted it all before close of business play. I am so greatful as I was very nervous to drive the car again before it got fixed and I use my car for a living.

George, the engineer, serviced, repaired and got my bike back like new while I popped over to Sainsbury's, to do shopping, which was amazing, as I was initially told I would leave it there for a couple of days. I have visited different Halfords stores before and with all honest was never really impressed with the service or the work done on my bicycle. In fact in one occasion I had service done on my mountain bike and it was horrible. I decided to give Halfords one last try only this time in Hendon. There I met the bike mechanic Calum. After few chats with him I quickly found out that he is professional and very knowledgeable on the matter so I decided to give him both my road bikes for service along with installing and fitting some new upgrades. He did a great job and really took care of my bikes! Great guy! P.S. It is hard to find a passionate bike mechanic who really takes proper care of your steed!

Once I got to the till, It was explained to me how to make sure that, if needed I could bring the item back and/or exchange it. On bike section alone it'd be 6-stars. I suspect the place would be out of business if it relied on the useless staff in the motor/car section. A real life tale of two sections. The staff working outside were worse than their colleagues indoors. Perhaps the cold has hit to them? I went in to get some bits and bobs for my car but will be getting those online (almost certainly from #amazon) but will probably go back to get bikes for the nephews. I had had an absolutely horrendous experience with Von Crank (who I have also reviewed) so I took my bike frame here to build pretty much from scratch into a customised speed demon. On my first visit (of three so far), my sister and I were served by Wayne, who is a very very very very special man who really knows his bikes and is a fountain of knowledge and arm wrestling anecdotes. I had no idea what I was doing but luckily Calum, the manager, was up to the task. He ordered the required parts to get it on the road while explaining all the pros and cons and possible downsides of my choices. His perspicacity was second to none, and although I had to make another visit to get more work done, he had already foreseen this, like some West Hendon Cassandra! In general, all my interactions with the other bike staff has been friendly and helpful all round. Even clearly terrified new trainees were warm and approachable. With his discretion, he was able to provide a new rear wheel and front mech with which to finally get my dream machine flying at a very reasonable cost. He also included installing these parts gratis as part of my Gold service that I had already utilised on my second visit. He offered to do the work on the spot so I could ride away without leaving it instore. Kudos to Calum, whose sense of humour is a boon, however MVP must got to Wayne - that man should have his own cult TV show!

I had decided not to waste money on 'Car Washes' but to invest in cleaning products and use own elbow grease. Halfords in Hendon had various products and i was confused but fortunately an assistant (Peter) was walking pass and offered to help me. He found me the best products plus some with savings too, made lots of recommendations and also looked up my car for the oil for my engine. Peter's knowledge and professionalism along with his helpfulness just made a huge difference to my shopping experience. I will most defo go back again for that personal touch. Have used Halfords Hendon before and will no doubt use them again! 04/05/2021: I went to the Halfords store at Hendon with low expectations but came out happy with a bike accessory fitted on my car, the guys were very knowledgeable and courteous besides being very helpful in tips to keep the accessory in good working condition! The wait times at the till were minimal, all in all very well managed!

Excellent professional service and friendly staff!!! My boyfriend and I went to Halfords Hendon today to get an estimation for a new bike and accessories for my cycle2work voucher. We had very limited experience with bikes, luckily we had this young lady from Halford (sadly we forgot to ask her name) helped us make this shopping journey very enjoyable. I told her the bikes which I’m interested, she showed us available bike sizes, explained the differences and let me tried different sizes and models to make sure I found right one. Then she helped me fitted with different size and model of helmets very effectively (she certainly know the products inside out). Again this could take us hours if we try thousands of helmets ourselves. She also recommended the wheel lock, which is exactly something I would love to have and I didn’t know about. Finally, she patiently wrote down all information for the bike, helmet, the compatible mudguard, lights, locks et al for us and helped us get a total cost, which is exactly what we want. So all in all, very effective shopping experience and happy with the customers service. Last but not least, big thanks to the young lady who helped us today. She was lovely, patient and professional as always, helped me arranged the bike fitting effectively and discovered that the mudguard I brought was not fit with my new bike and also provided professional recommendations on the mudguards. I enjoyed my visit at Halford hendon center and extremely happy with the staff here, especially Tasha! // updated 3rd July 2021 Anthony in Halfords Hendon centre has kindly helped me fit my second mudguard. He discovered the mudguard I bought is not quite fit and recommend a new one. He is professional, patient and effective. If i could put 10 stars i would. George from the cycle repair team looked after me today. I took two bikes for a free check. He checked one and reccomended a service and the other bike had problems but rather than getting me to pay a lot of money to fix it he advised that it wasn’t worth it as the bike was a very old bike. N the repairs wud cost more than the bike. He then refunded some of cost of the service as he told me after that my bike was in good condition and he didn’t want to overcharge me for things that didn’t need servicing. It's infrequent I write online reviews but felt compelled to as my experience overall and on-going working relationship is a mixed bag. I cycle to work through occasional rough terrain so inevitably I'm back and forwards to Halfords Hendon every couple months with different ailments. At points staff have shamelessly attempted to charge me £50 for what has amounted to literally < 3 minutes fiddling with a screwdriver. A brief word with management slashed that in half. At times I've been told to return in 3 hours for small jobs when the shop has been literally empty with many members of staff wandering aimlessly about (- was in their 'bad books'). And on the other end of the scale you have staff members like Kareem who are conscientious, patient, competent, take an interest in their customers and can't do enough to help. Actually brings a smile of relief to see him pottering about. Some team members are kind, some are rude and others it depends what mood you catch them in - pretty sure you can guess which is which. Just a crying shame the overall experience isn't more consistent.

Best bike store experience ever. The guys there are so friendly, they helped me find exactly what I needed, took my input and made me feel like they had my best interests at heart. Such a different experience to other bike stores where I feel like staff get annoyed at customers asking questions or taking time to decide. Super patient, also they had 6 people working so plenty of staff unlike other places where you have to wait and feel like you're judged based on what value you offer them. The man at the desk said that he doesn't do this job simply for the money, but that he loves to get people into cycling. He even price matched the product I was getting and saved me 40% making it an even better deal than it already was. I recently purchased a Raleigh Motus Electric bike from CycleRepublic in the city, which for those who are unaware, is under the same family group as Halfords. Two days ago, a mechanical fault with the drivetrain occurred suddenly which put the entire bike out of service, forcing me to take the bike to Halfords Hendon as I could not rectify the issue with my own abilities and CycleRepublic was too far. The service I received was impeccable and less than 24 hrs after booking the bike in, I was able to have it back with me FOC in good condition. Thank you for what you do, in the event of future mechanical issues, I know that I will be well looked after by your team. Only gripe with the visit is that bikes section is on 1st storey and the customer lift cannot fit most full-sized non folding bikes. But then again, I am quite young so getting 24kg up a flight of steps isn't too awful at current time.

They're helpful and attentive and you can get a tyre on your bike fixed and repaired for just £5 - that's for the inner tube and the fitting. Parking is easy if you bring a car although the Edgware Rd does get a bit busy.
