I wanted a bike rack for the car, and it's something I've never had before. I asked for assistance to work out which is the right one. The two guys who helped me were fantastic, explaining carefully what the different racks were about, coming out and looking at my car and making sure it was suited for the rack and on top of that I got a 20% discount that I wasn't aware was available on that particular item. Really helpful staff. Very suitable product. Good price.

I ordered the items online (garage shelving x 2) since they were available at this branch of Halfords, and at no other retailer within a 20 miles radius. Couldn't collect immediately, but when I collected them today (48 hr after ordering), I was in and out of the premises in under 5 minutes. Excellent service.

Tonight I had to collect a bike for my grandson for Christmas. I was seen to by a very nice young man called Mario. He was very polite and helpful. He said I could choose an item for £10 free as a special promotion for purchasing the bike before the 19th but I declined as I wasn't able to climb the stairs again to choose it. He then went upstairs and got me a set of lights and a bottle holder to the value. I was so chuffed he did that for me. He then wished me A Merry Christmas. This is the kind of assistance you get always in Kingston Park store. Thank you.

Service was excellent. The guy who served me was very professional. However if I'd realised it was £8.00 fitting PER bulb I would have thought twice. I thought the £8.00 was a one off charge. I’d give more than 5 stars if I could, shopping at Halfords at Kingston Park Newcastle upon Tyne was a very a fab experience, it was my first visit to the store. Upon arrival I greeted instantly by a lovely lady, I’d visited the store because I needed a Pannier Rack for my mountain bike. She arranged for my bike to be carried up the stairs by a member of staff, my wait was just a few minutes. When I got to the top floor I was again greeted by friendly, approachable staff who were very knowledgeable and helped make sure I purchased the correct Pannier Rack that was suitable for my mountain bike which was for the price very strong and sturdy. I don’t think I’d have gotten the friendly advice, support and expertise anywhere else. Whilst there I noticed Halfords have a wide variety of children’s and adult bikes and accessories that were reasonably priced that didn’t break the bank that were affordable for people for me on a low income. I also noticed the store caters for lots of different products such as camping and products for cars and much more. I was very impressed by the excellent customer service I received, I’m now looking forward to a second visit in the near future as I’d like to have my handlebars on my mountain lifted up by their very knowledgeable experienced staff. I highly recommend Halfords at Kingston Park Newcastle upon Tyne their staff go above and beyond to give the best possible shopping experience.

My first visit to this store and I was assisted by an extremely helpful young man. He didn't rush off once he had answered my query but made sure I had everything I came for. There was a bit of a queue but that was due to the till system not working properly so no fault of the staff. The young man who took my payment was also very polite and friendly. Very Helpful and Friendly Staff. Visited the store 5 mins before closing last night and have to say the staff were very helpful and not at all rushing me to get out. Had to go back at 8.00 am the next day and again - the store opened right on time and the young man on the till was very friendly and helpful. Staff couldn't be more helpful. Took e-scooter in for a service as I had brake issues. Was explained to me that because my scooter was an import they don't usually look after them as they can't get parts. But Lewis took it in to see if the an adjustment could be made and fit the new pads I bought online myself. Also fitted my replacement rear mud guard. £20 for labour and fixed all my problems. Couldn't ask for more.

Kingston Park Halfords has plenty of free parking so is easy to access. It’s never too busy so always easy to get served. I tend to use click and collect as it’s a simple and painless process.

My old e bike was playing up. Initial assessment indicated I needed a new battery and charger, estimate nearly £600. I questioned this and fortunately got to speak to Lewis, the e bike mechanic. He really knows his stuff. He reassessed the bike and got the job done for less than £70. A real professional and he did his best to keep me informed about progress in spite of the current delays in parts arriving, and covid delays. Thank you Lewis. Ask for Lewis of you need your e bike repaired!

Had an issue with product bought as parts were missing. Not shops fault as theft of parts. Manager (Ian) was great, v helpful and fixed it so that I left happy despite the multiple visits. It’s ok for errors to be made, they happen, but it’s how the store fixes the errors that counts, and they did a great job. I would use again, and there’s something to be said for having a physical store and staff to interact with face to face vs trying to resolve this over internet.

I have had a couple of good experiences at Halfords recently - the Team Valley Gateshead is my nearest branch, but when I needed a specific adapter to convert 13 pin power point on my car tow bar with 8 pin power point on my bike carrier it was available at the Kingston Park store. A bit further to travel but I was happy to be able to get the part I needed. Plenty parking space outside, staff friendly and efficient, safety procedures in place in respect of the Covid situation. I found that I didn’t need this adapter and returned it to the Team Valley store. I had deleted my email receipt for it but the staff were very helpful and were able to source the order number and refunded the cost. Ordering on line is straightforward and Halfords kept me updated about the progress of my order via email and notified me the time when the goods were ready to collect. All in all an excellent service.

Needed advice for car seats in our motorhome and advice to dash cam, staff members and especially the person who give us advice on what we Needed was very knowledgeable and patient. Brilliant customer service from bike support team. I'd bought my bike from the North Shields store however it had a bike seat fault, I rang the customer service team who booked me into a repair slot with the Kingston Park team, however they'd failed to communicate this with the store. Nevertheless 2 employees were so helpful and changed the faulty part within 15 minutes for me, I'm so grateful they were able to get me back riding the bike for work.

Whenever I've read car or motorcycle forums, people call Halfords for being too expensive! My experience is the opposite, they usually have everything I'm looking for at a really reasonable price. Have just been to Halfords Kingston Park with a query about how to set up a pressure washer I had bought. The girls at the till were very helpful and one of them went and checked a display model for me to see where the part connected. Bought a new bike. I am a complete luddite. I took my bike in to get an inspection. Did it within half an hour. Thanks Ryan. I had a puncture, took it in. Done within half an hour. I asked plenty of question and got helpful answers. So I can't fault this place. Would I pay £8 for someone to fix my wheel. Yes I would. If I have any issues with my bike this will be the first place I take it.

Lovely friendly staff clearly busy at the time but went out there way to give excellent customer service to me with my children in tow. Despite the queue of people waiting to be served they didn’t rush me as I bought my car purchases. Retail might be getting hit by amazon and the online machine but you cannot beat the original customer service by actual human beings!

Today I went to pick up my bike which had been brought in from another store, halfway across the country. A team member named Phil had been so kind to take extra measures to make sure I got the one I wanted, which was pretty much the last one available in the country. The bike needed a new seat post and the colleague James changed it out for me with a new part which I only paid half price for.

Bought Pendleton somerby bike from Halfords last week. It was ready to collect before the collection date but the whole reason for 5 star rating is the staff at Halfords. Due to safety measures, customers were not allowed to go in the store but they were handling the queues so well. Very pleasant and patient with all customers.

Solid Halfords. The staff genuinely care, they have an extensive amount of knowledge on the bikes and can guide you through any bike related issue you may have. I wouldn't say that Halfords is where you should come to if you need help, however. Yes they sell bikes, but they are all entry level and budget brands, serious enthusiasts should consider buying directly from your brand but definitely come here for EVERYTHING else related to bikes! GPS', puncture kits, clothing, helmets, kit, gear, gears and accessories.
