Finally collected my new car! It’s been a bit of a wait but Lookers have been great throughout the process. What made it different was that It was all very straightforward from initial enquiry, to arranging and completing test drive and then on to discussing prices, options to buy and then an actual agreement. Not always the case with dealerships. Actual delivery was a few days late because of a delay for final parts, but nothing like the timescales you can expect from other makes I looked at. YES! The service reception person, Craig, is pleasant, informative and thorough but trying to reach the reception section by telephone is horrendous. On two recent occasions I had to call the reception and it 6minutes and 8 minutes just to speak to someone. Gone are the days when it was possible to have a friendly local person to answer the call. Now a customer has to go through some central processing unit before been put through to the Newcastle - the suffer the long wait to get through. I would suggest you sort out the telephone procedures. It also took three weeks from going in person to talk to the reception to get my car in. Why is that? Not enough technician I would think. Having waited to get the car in the fault immediately reoccurred within about 3 minutes of leaving the garage. A further telephone call (and a long wait) to the garage told me it was normal! Why has this normal fault never showed itself in the three years I have owned the car? I am not too impressed.

Friendly and efficient service made the purchase and collection of a second hand car easy. Sales Exec Curtis Dixon was attentive when we needed him to be and had good knowledge of the cars. He was patient and arranged a test drive there and then; explaining everything well but he also gave us space to look at cars ourselves without the usual hard sales techniques you get in garages which really puts me off! On collection, he went the extra mile to demonstrate and set up all the gadgets in the car. Lookers was recommended to me and I’d highly recommend them too.

Problem free purchase , no unwanted pressure to take out "extras". Deal was done remotely and vehicle was as good as it looked in the pictures and was ready to go when i arrived. Couldn't fault this place or the employees, five star treatment for a free health car check, excellent up to date technology, I was sat watching the salesman and the amount of care and attention he took of the car that had just been test driven was amazing, and the traffic light system they use for assessing the different parts of the car that they check and to top it all off you get a video of them showing whats been checked and can give a estimate of when parts could need to be replaced, this is the best garage in my 20yrs of driving I've came across, Thank you Lookers Nissan as you found a couple of faults we had no idea were there, probably saving us a small fortune, definitely recommend this place its 1 of a kind

Booking system disgraceful. I have a service plan which includes MOT, but when using online booking, because i selected service plan only and not MOT as well (which then showed a charge for MOT if selected) my car could not be MOTd and had to be booked in for later date. I am not going to select MOT for a charge when its included for free with my plan. This needs fixed. Also car wasnt clean at all when returned. Smears of what i can only assume was polish all over bodywork and windows, and white marks on passenger seat

The sales experience was ok, not the best also not the worst. But the experience of the applying ShieldX on the car was completely unsatisfactory. After the supposed application of ShieldX there were still dirt on parts of the car where the treatment was supposed to be applied. I had to send the car back twice due to this and kind of gave up after that. I consider the money spend on that a complete waste. Better to get it done outside dealership.

I've been using Lookers (and before that Benfield) to change my car since the 1990s. Always professional, courteous and efficient.

My 15 month old Juke had developed a range of small but increasingly annoying rattles, squeaks and creaks which I had lived with due to my nearest dealer being 60 miles away. (I suspect a lot of it was down to the stiffer than average ride arising from the optional very low profile tyres and larger optional wheel set up.) After a more annoying fault of a transient, intermittent and totally random warning light illumination appeared followed by a flat battery after standing unused for just over a week, action was needed. I booked in with Lookers Nissan in Newcastle. Craig Newman of their Service Department and his technicians handled my issues in a friendly, professional and efficient manner and managed to identify and rectify all of the notoriously difficult to find causes of automotive rattles and also sorted the other problems without any of the common and unwelcome 'negotiations' sometimes involved in warranty issues. All of this was achieved in just one day. The drive home seemed like they had swapped my car for a new one with absolutely no unwanted noise whatsoever. I have no reservations in commending Lookers Nissan, Newcastle for their excellent customer service and the quality of their staff. (It was also refreshing not to encounter degraded service levels blamed on Covid.....) Update to my earlier review: Due to a parts availability problem (NOT Lookers fault) we had to make a second visit to finish off the work carried out above. This just proved that our earlier experience was not out of the ordinary. Craig met us as we arrived, quickly booked us into the system and ensured that the minor work was carried out immediately while we waited. Truly a VIP experience. Thanks again to all the staff involved.

We went to buy a car which was reserved about 2 weeks before the collection date. Flew from London to Newcastle, upon arrival we realised that the car wasn’t even ready for collection. Made us wait for around 4 hours in the cold and coffee machine was out of order. A better customer service could have saved our day.

Over and beyond. Due to my failure to spot my car needed an MOT ( overdue by over 4 months) I rang and spoke to a gentleman called Mark Butler. The customer care shown was SUPERB. Nothing was too much trouble and knowing I needed the car for hospital appointments he managed to squeeze me in the next day( after being initially told it would be over a week). Lee Moore from Newcastle lookers nissan has been fantastic, upon receiving the courtesy car while mine was fixed Lee helped me get both the car seats out my car and take them to courtesy and wouldn't let me carry either one of them ( I believe a cheeky sense of humour at play ) and put them both in the courtesy for me. He pushed to get my car fixed after a minor set back with the warranty administrators and got the car a lovely wash and vac and made sure I was happy with the work carried out. We spoke to Nissan Customer Services, Nissan Assist and their responses ranged from "just ignore it" to "don't drive it. this could damage your engine". They said the earliest they could see the car was 17 August. no other help was offered. We drove to Nissan Lookers next day, spoke to a chap from the Services Dept who said to bring it in on Saturday 18th. Problem fixed within the time scale allowed which was a simple software update. be more honest - if you tell me my trade in car will be going to auction due to in being a 'high mile car'(47,100miles on a 6 year old car ???), then send it to auction. dont put it up for sale the day after we exchange vehicles. when sending potential customers out on a test drive, rather than just hand over the keys, 1 - ask if they are ok with driving an automatic 2 - have they driven one before 3 - do they know where the controls are dont just asume. If it wasnt for the fact that my Father-in-Law wanted to purchase the car, I would have easily walked away due to the above and the deal the salesman offered him will i return or recomend you???? - going of my recent experience, i doubt it.

I had my latest Motobility car from Lookers Nissan in Newcastle. My previous experience with Lookers Renault left a lot to be desired and I was dubious using Lookers again. However, after visiting the Nissan dealership, I was very impressed with the Staff there and the way they dealt with my order. Nothing was too much trouble, the young man I dealt with, kept me informed on a regular basis. My car was recalled for a part a few weeks ago and an appointment was made as soon as I rang them up. My car was collected, given a health check and I was sent a video to show me what they were doing. It was returned later in the afternoon and I was impressed with clean it was. It was gleaming (honestly). This is my 6th Vehicle on the Motobility Scheme and I must say, to date, this is the best dealership I have dealt with. Would recommend them to all. Paid over £17000 for a 1 year old Nissan approved Qashqai in March. It had apparently gone through over 100 checks to get its approved status. Unfortunately the air con didn't work and as the dealerships was closed for months due to lockdown It didn't get repaired for months. I spoke to them and they said the air con worked when it went through its checks but I am not convinced as the car had only done a couple of hundred miles before I noticed. My advice to anyone looking for a year old Nissan is don't pay over the odds as I did for a Nissan approved one, they are no different to any other.

Went and test drove a second hand performance car recently, salesman in the car had little to no knowledge of the car and its features or at least employed zero sales technique in trying to show me the features and remained silent during the test drive. To me it seemed he could not understand the reasons to buy such a specialist car and for that reason what would be required in a test drive! Taking a test drive along a motorway is absolutely pointless in a performance car! Manager in the dealership itself was friendly and helpful and seemed to be interested in selling a car. The gentleman that I had however I am not so sure. Maybe he thought I was just a test pilot but I could have bought that car on the day and down to a poor test drive and an off-putting sales person I walked away.

Well my Qashqai only 2 yrs old was found to have a faulty battery. This was sorted and I now have my car back Thank you for that...........However. my experience with nissan at Portland road, was well how can I say a bit surprising. Phone calls took for ever to answer and they never called back So had to keep on trying till I did get hold of some one. My car was ready and I could then return the rather small car they lent me and collect my own........ I was so pleased about this but not happy when I got home only to find The bonnet of my car was not closed. Sheesh I was doing 70mph going down the coast road. God only knows what would of happened if that safety catch wasn't on. I only found out the bonnet was open when I tried to lock it and got this awful loud wining sound. Now I know why the car was not locked when I picked it up . And no I did not agree to the £5 charge for there car.
