I visited the Isle of Wight store for my 10 point vehicle check. Although the store was very busy , the customer service I received was excellent. I was served by an assistant called Jack Charge who I found very polite and helpful. He showed me where to park for the check and explained what he was checking throughout the process. He also found a chip on the windscreen that I was not even aware of. A very polite and helpful young man and a credit to the store. I would not hesitate to visit again.

Excellent service. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Dan found the correct light bulb and fitted it in under 10 mins for a fraction of the price I'd been quoted at snows mini! I saved £160 by using halfords instead of the snows dealership and also quicker as I'd of had to of waited several days for the light bulb and left my car with them too! Can't praise them enough!

I can't give enough praise to Matt, who replaced inner tube and back wheel on my bike after a number of sharp stones ripped through my tyre causing the puncture. Matt was very polite and explained everything that he was doing to the bike to me. I really cant't thank him enough. Very helpful, friendly staff in store, who took me through all the things the camera can do, and explained the difference between the different ones. They helped me with the extras, and another camera for the rear windscreen. It was all fitted today by Halfords staff, and a very good job has been done too. I was also talked through the workings of my new Dash cam, so I do now understand how it works and when to reset it if necessary. All in all, a very pleasant experience, by helpful staff members, who were courteous at all times. Thank you.

We booked to have a car headlamp replaced but when we arrived we were offered a seasonal check up, which we accepted. The store was very busy but all the staff were extremely helpful, apologising for the delay and making sure that we didn't feel ignored. The check-up was thorough and efficient (and strangely found that our bulb wasn't faulty anyway). The engineer was excellent, taking his time, even though it was pretty cold in the car park, and explaining things to us. We left absolutely delighted with the service. I must also say how great the till staff were. It is certainly a store I will return to.

My son arrived from the mainland in his car. During a conversation discovered that it desperately needed rear brake pads ( really worn) , two new tyres and the oil was black tar. This was Thursday evening before Good Friday. He was heading back on the Easter Monday with prospect of a long journey . Where to get this sorted ? Halfords auto centre Newport Isle of Wight came to the rescue. Booked in 0830 next morning Good Friday no less. Full service , oil flush, fuel flush , brakes sorted wheel aligned for free. I arrived isle of wight 11/6/22 for a weeks holiday in shankin i decided that wanted a mountain bike so I visited Halfords at Newport spoke to James D in the bike section although this was the next day on a Sunday james said he would find out if they had the bike I wanted in stock and they could build it for me. he came back with one in a Box and offered to build it for me to pick up later !! I could not believe this service especially on a Sunday! I thanked him but said I got lot things to do in shanklin so can I pick it up next day ( today ! Kev was very professional and polite at all time explaining the whole process and ensuring the car was covid safe. this gave me confidence in Kev ability and safety of my car. on return Kev explained what he has done throughout the whole process, showing me how the kit was installed and what he needed to removed and place back, leaving a flush finish to car and unnoticeable cables/fittings. Bought a battery and had it fitted by a friendly and knowledgeable mechanic. After the fitting he asked me if I wanted the free car safety check, which I did. He started the safety check explaining everything he was doing as he worked. The whole battery fitting and car check took about 35 mins. I now have more confidence in the condition of my car and will certainly be visiting Halfords more often in the future, they seem to cover everything including servicing and MOT's.

Click and collect service is quick and worked well. Ignore website/store front door signs/any email-text about store being open at 0800hrs. It opens at 0900hrs apart from Sunday. About 6 of us stood about today expecting store to be open. I hope this is rectified ASAP. It's not that hard to edit a website to show correct details. We ordered from Halfords on line a new car battery and booked a time to have it fitted at Halfords. It was ready when they stated and the engineer was very helpful and polite. Unfortunately, he couldn't get the old original battery removed from the car as the bolt holding the fixing plate in place was rusted in. Despite lashings of WD40 it refused to budge and so he advised us that we would be better advised to have our local garage deal with it because if he exerted too much pressure he might snap the bolt and Halfords were not equipped to drill it out and cut in a new bolt. We appreciated his honesty and we had seen the struggle he was having getting the rusted in bolt to turn. As it turned out, the copious lashings of WD 40 did its job overnight and our garage managed to removed it and fit the new battery for us, albeit at double Halfords fitting charge.

I brought 2 bikes in for servicing in varying states. The experience was very positive. The store was adhering to the guidelines with hand sanitizers at the entrance. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. The bike was dropped off at a designated place with waiting area so I did not have to carry them up the stairs. The staff were really helpful and also changed the handle bar height and seat for me on both bikes, in addition to the completed work. The services were completed in a timely manner and appear good quality. I am happy with the service I recieved for the bike maintenance and the customer service in store.

My rear tire went flat on the way back from Carisbrooke Castle and I only had 2 hours before I needed to cycle back to Cowes to catch my ferry. Even though there was only 1 person working they managed to squeeze my repair in and had it done within one hour. So thankful to baby shark for fixing my bike so quickly and to James who was so helpful and informative.

Staff were friendly and helpful - I haven't owned a car for over 25 years but this Spring I bought an old Ford Fiesta and noticed the coolant level was at MIN so called in to buy more and ask a few questions re maintenance checks. I was told that Halfords offered a 15 minute mini service so thought this would be a good idea if it could be done soon. 15 minutes later, Dan did the service for me and I asked if he would mind explaining things as he went along so I'd know where things were under the bonnet and what to check on a regular basis. Needed a roof box for my car. Went to IOW store and they measured and checked what was available as my car is a Giulietta with limited roof area due to aerial and opening of boot. I ordered the 320l and as a back up they ordered the next size down to ensure I had a box fitted the day before my holiday. The boxes came in earlier and Halfords called to say they could do a day earlier. Went to store and box was fitted in 45 minutes with all safety checks carried out. It is not printer friendly and wastes way more ink than need be, and there is no VAT number shown on it. A receipt needs to have a VAT number on it, if the company is charging VAT. Someone punched my wing mirror! I know, I'm as shocked as you are. Popped into Halfords which had clear entry/exit routes. Chap on the door asked what I was after and politely pointed me to the right area. It's all light and airy, which is rare for a Halfords. Everything is clean, well signed and lit. Do you know there's a bunch of different types of wing mirrors? I picked up one, then another, and did my best Monty Burns ketchup-catsup impression. A staff member called Chris spotted my dilemma and came over quickly to assist me. We had some friendly banter as he dug through their stock to get me the right part, told me how to fit it, then he rang me through the checkout. I felt really looked after by a gem of a staff member.
