Outstanding customer service. I went in for new wiper blades. Within 2 minutes someone had approached me and helped me find the correct blades for my car. I then spoke to Glenn who suggested I sign up to the motoring club to save some money. He fitted the blades and completed a 10 point check on my car. A great visit from start to finish, would highly recommend.

The store is well set up, with a wide range if products however it’s not their largest store so expect to only fund the most important stuff here however even just looking through the store I didn’t feel like I’m missing anything. I just wanted to take a moment to thank Antoine at the Southampton Store for his huge help today. I had visited Southampton today with my fiancée and young family (3 children), we travelled all the way from Weymouth. In the terrible weather, my wiper blade finally surrendered it’s health under the vigour of its use! Before returning to Weymouth I needed a new one as it wasn’t clearing the rain and was making a terrible noise. With no exaggeration, I arrived in the store at 16.59 just 1 minute before it was due to close. I apologised for coming so late, I was unable to take the blade off as it is the first time I’d had to do it with this car. Antoine could have made me feel like I was a nuisance at the end of the day, instead he was very welcoming and offered to source a new blade and even change it for me. It really was a pleasant visit which made my journey home safer and more enjoyable. The wipers now move silently across my windscreen! Antoine even empathised with my forward coming journey and wished me and my family well on our way home. Once again, thank you for everything you did today.

Do not buy Carlube brand, Diesel Particulate Filter Cleaner! It does not work and Halfords will not give money back (use Wynn's DPF works a treat!). Service is normally great and staff very helpful but they couldn't give me a refund on it, bit disappointing.

A better battery was suggested, the battery needed a security tag removed and the same person came forward to the till, which had a queue.. and the battery was getting quite heavy.. and removed it allowing me to make a swift delivery of the battery and resolve the problem I and a friend was having with their car. Quite nice place, clean, wide selection of goods. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable of one's order. They do click and collect, delivery and their website is easy to use and navigate through. Lots of parking spaces outside the shop and they have a WeFit tent too.

The young man - Takudzwa - on the till today served me in a pleasant and engaging manner - he was good to talk with. Out in the car park I was having trouble with the car and he came out to help and cured the problem. Whilst doing this we talked some more about his job, prospects of skills training, advancement, management training and I got the impression that he has a lot more to offer than being next to a till or similar, in a large chain store. How do I know? Maybe I don't, but I spent 33years in Higher Education, training/teaching/supervising young people from apprentices to graduates and there's usually a feel for the individual ability after ten or fifteen minutes, and I think that Taku - his choice of name - has high ability and worth developing.

Put my bike in for service. Staff are always courteous and professional. I cant recommend getting a service contract highly enough. I use my bike daily and have the bike serviced about four times per year and this contract is ideal as you only pay for any parts. Also, I am having a problem with my ebike battery and Halfords have been very helpful in trying to obtain a replacement which is under warranty

Matt and the team (Carl, Chris and Cam) are always on hand to help and provide the best customer service along with skills and knowledge about all aspects of cycling. Good communication when I've had repairs in and usually done in a timely manner with limited wait to get the bicycle looked at. Wide range of products and accessories available too which makes shopping and browsing a pleasure. Long opening hours are convenient too. This is a good store and I highly recommend it to those shopping for auto/cycling locally. Probably the best cycle shop around in Southampton.

I was very pleased with the service Colin gave. He was thorough and efficient, in fact he was even better than he realised at the time. He noticed that my wipers were hitting the external dashboard area and were noisy, which they have always been, I don't know why. Anyway he fitted the new wipers, saying I might need to book into my garage to get the wiper holders adjusted. However when I used the wipers the next day they are no longer noisy! I don't know how this happened, it could only be Colin's magic touch. Thanks very much.

Went to collect a new bike with mudguards. Initially disappointed to discover that they did not fit the mudguards as part of the publicised free bike build - this is not very clear from website and it certainly used to be part of the Halfords “build your bike” for free service as I’ve had it before on previous bike purchases. Anyway I was informed it would be an additional £5 to pay which I considered probably worth the outlay. As it transpired the young guy looking after me had some issues fitting the guards himself, so I am glad I didn’t attempt it myself. In the end he had to cut an inch off the rear guard so that it would fit. He remained very calm and sorted the issue and waived the £5 charge. His service merited five stars, but I knocked one off for Halfords not making this policy change explicitly clear on their website. The bike was for my teenage son and we cycled the 6 miles home and he’s very pleased with the feel of his new Carrera bike.

I bought a dash cam online from halfords for delivery and then thought after it arrived i should have booked it in for dash cam fitting - i called up and spoke to a really helpful person who sorted out a time and place for me. I visited Halfords Friday to get my wipers checked over as I was having a lot of smearing issues, before speaking to a member of staff about my issues I couldn’t resist having a browse for some new cleaning products. Not the slightest quibble for twice exchanging faulty lights. Allowing a test ride in the car park to decide on frame size. Replacing the entire transmission as a free warranty repair, where others would have charged as 'wear and tear'. Never being to busy to assist. Picking up the phone promptly! I recommend.

A decent halfords with a good range as you'd expect but considering it sells bikes/bike accessories it has some of the worst cycle parking I've seen. It just had a set of 4 wheel holders which were locked to the store by a cheap looking lock; if it wants cyclists to come in and visit it ought to have proper set of solid racks which you can lock your frame to.

I went in with my bike today which had suffered with wet weather and some parts had rusted and really stuck.
