Recently had a whole bumper replacement after a decent quote. Communication with this business was great and I was booked in efficiently. They got my car fixed within a day, and they even surprised me with a full valet! I genuinely could not be happier with the work that J DAY have done - they went above and beyond! Even topped up my screenwash! All the guys here are friendly and hard-working. I highly recommend them for any vehicle work. The invoiced cost even came under the quote, happy days!

Their work was exceptional, I left my Audi TT with them while I was away to have some new panels and a windscreen fitted. I could not see what was original paintwork from the new paintwork. They kept me up to date with any issues as the work progressed. The final bill was very close to the original quote bearing in mind there was extra work done.

Both car experiences have been excellent, I would struggle to take issue with any aspect of the experience, from booking, drop off, explanation of work carried out etc. etc., and finally collection. MOT was due to expire on Monday 3rd October. Through my own fault and despite the numerous email reminders from J.Day Engineering, I didn’t get round to booking it until Saturday 1st with Tommy. He told me to drop it off first thing Monday , phone call at 1024 telling me it had passed and was available for pick up. If you want a firm that look after your vehicle like it was there own J Day are the Garage. I have had a few very different vehicles from new Jag's, old camper vans and off roaders. They do things properly and the prices are fair. I travel to use J Day as I love my cars.

I have previously used J Day Engineering for work on my Motorhome, and I have been very pleased. My clutch failed on my Citroen Grand Picasso and I recovered it to the workshop on Monday the gearbox was removed and inspected, it was confirmed that the complete clutch and flywheel needed replacement. I was then contacted and all of the required parts and work involved was clearly explained to me. I then had a quote and agreed the price before work commenced. I was updated on Tuesday with the progress. By Wednesday afternoon I had a call to say the car was ready for collection. The added bonus was being able to pay for the work in 4 instalments. Very impressed with both the high quality of the work and the speed of the repair. A good honest trustworthy garage, I have no problem in recommending J Day Engineering.

A great team! I have used J Day Engineering for the maintance, repair and restoration of all my daily and classic cars for the last 15 years. From the full body restoration and paint on my 1972 custom Chevy to remapping the Ecu on my wife's daily drive. All task carried out to a high standard at a fair price. It’s always a bit of a gamble trying out a new garage but I was really pleased with my experience at J Day Engineering. In all honesty I picked them for my MOT because they had such good reviews on Google. The garage is modern and the waiting area is clean and nice. My Mum’s (widow in her 70’s and not technically minded) car developed a clutch problem, she took it to her local Peugeot dealer who quoted approx £3500 to repair it. I couldn’t work out how they could come up with a quote like that for a clutch even on a semi auto. I told her to take it to J Day where they repaired it in a day for less than a sixth of what Peugeot quoted.

This garage was recommended to me by a neighbour after my car engine blew up on the 303, resulting in my car having to be towed in at short notice and repaired in my absence as I was about to go on holiday. From start to finish I was very impressed by my dealings with various members of staff, whom I spoke to fairly often. They really could not have been more helpful and reassuring at what was quite a stressful time for me. Mechanical skills apart, which obviously go without saying, I have worked in customer service myself for many years and found everybody’s professionalism, patience, understanding, and good humour to be simply outstanding. Steve assured me that he would source a replacement engine ( which actually proved to be more difficult than expected, but he succeeded ) and that the car would be ready for me on my return, which indeed it was. The final price also came in considerably under what I had initially been quoted which was an unexpected surprise, given that it was a such a major repair. My car then had to come back in for a 500 mile check on the new engine, and shortly afterwards for an MOT, some replacement brake discs/pads and later, a new oil pressure sensor, so I can definitely say that I have been a regular, and extremely satisfied customer over the last 3 months ! Many thanks indeed to everyone that I have come into contact with, especially Steve, Tom and Amy on the front desk, and obviously James for running a very impressive business. I appreciate all your good work and I will not be going anywhere else from now on !

Just had Kia vehicle serviced, following on from MoT. The job was very professionaly carried out, with the checks and works carefully explained to me following the service. A courtesy car was provided, though I was offered a pickup and return service from my house if more convenient. The bill was very reasonable,and the car was returned in pristine condition. Absolutely Brilliant!!!! I have had major dramas with KIA in Yeovil (have been back multiple times complaining about wheel alignment after warranty work and every time they said they fixed it). So a trip to see the guys at J Day Engineering with their Hawk Eye Tracking and wheel Alignment System and they fixed the issue easily. So highly recommended. The car now drives perfectly and the staff are a great bunch of guys.

It's great to find a skilled independent who is interested in the unusual and doesn't mind a challenge. I took my Bentley Brooklands with severe brake judder to James and a couple of hours later all brake discs skimmed with their Pro-Cut tool. Car now drives factory fresh! James charged a frankly unbelievable £96.00; Bentley wanted £6k ( yes - that's six thousand pounds!) to sort this out. Needless to say, I'll be back with some new challenges for them. Amazing customer service, an enthusiasts garage that does the everyday really well also, from having spent the morning there and chatting with some of his other customers. I’ve known James since school days. He’s always been a reliable and trustworthy individual, which now shows car repairs business. Recently had reason to call on James' services, as our Renault 2006 Scenic 1.5 dci intermittently throwing up a “Check Injector” warning on the dashboard – Had a local garage take a look and the cost of repairs was estimated £xxxx. Had a second opinion from James Day Engineering and although the replacement turbo was expensive, it was some £200+ cheaper than the first garage's estimate. Both parts and the amount of labour to do the job were less, so was an easy decision. Car is running fine some 3 - 4 weeks later, so overall very pleased we decided to go to James and his team. If I lived closer it would be my regular garage without a doubt! Highly recommended!
