Had 4 new continental tyres fitted, 1 was in a shocking condition. It appeared already used as there were no signs of the manufacture coloured lines on the tread, there were several scratch marks on the side wall and it was dirty with the dirt worn off uniformly around the tread, which appears to look like it’s been used. Complained, and my claim was rejected by the tyre supplier to Halfords. Not impressed after spending almost £600.

Went in this week February 2022 off the back of a questionable service and MOT from Nissan dealership in 2021 and my new MOT due....Halfords confirmed Nissan were pulling a fast one and trying to fleece me for unnecessary repairs and parts which included all round break pads and discs . Halfords replaced rear brake pads and fixed my slow puncture and that was all it needed. It went on to pass its MOT at another garage flying colours. So very grateful to Halfords, for being honest, I will return for future repairs knowing I can trust them.

Appointment for MOT test on time and took as long as stated. Failed on front indicators being faded. Bought 2 bulbs and replaced them, then took car back for re-test which they did immediately and gave me a pass note. Excellent service and polite efficiency.

Great service overall. Very easy to book the appointment online, courteous staff when dropping car off and when picking up. Car went in for service and mot and at a good overall competitive price. They kept in touch with mot failures and explained what was wrong and how much to put right very clearly. Also they explained what work may need doing before next years mot. I have used Halfords now for a few years. I can arrange to drop my car off the evening before if it's booked in first thing in the morning for a service, MOT etc so it's very flexible. It's only a 20 min walk back to my house so a double bonus of a bit of exercise. I like the fact you book a time slot so that your car is done at the time you book it, unlike some other garages you're not waiting around all day and ring up and find they haven't even started it yet so it's a smooth process. They offer a good range of services certainly no dearer, probably a bit cheaper than main dealers and I've never found issue with the workmanship. I've even had a situation where I took the car in to have a fault diagnosed, their equipment couldn't detect the fault even though I did have one as it was going to need special equipment that they don't use and they didn't charge me based on the fact they couldn't solve my problem, but pointed me in the direction of a local specialist who ultimately sorted my problem out. Good value if you book service and MOT together as you get a discount. Really can't fault them overall, online booking system is great as you pick a time that suits you.

Good welcome, efficient service at the best price - what more can you ask? Only minor niggle for Halfords - when you order tyres online they take your email address but then don't use it to confirm tyres are available before travelling. We had to phone to check. Otherwise very good service.

Had abit of panic as my mot was due the next day. Luckily for me a friend recommended halfords, I’m not great on computers but went online and booked my mot on the halfords website for first thing the next day with ease and for a great price!!! When I turned up in the morning the staff were brilliant had all the paperwork ready with my details, explained everything professionally and most importantly where very warm and welcoming 😊. Great service ... helpful staff... warning tho.. if you leave your car at the autocenter for more than 3 hours the CPplus bully boys will try and fine you £100 for being in the car park for more than the alloted time. Contact halfords autocenter and they will cancel the fine.

After booking my car in for 830am and leaving a message in the special instructions that i would be a little late as my daughter starts school at 830am.
