We’d just packed the car - full to the brim with two young kids and bikes - after an excellent weekend at the local Centre Parc and were about to set off on our 350 mile trip home to Scotland when we noticed a steady leak of diesel from deep underneath the car. Cue a panicked call to Ampthill MOT Centre, plucked at random from a Google search of well reviewed local garages. It was first thing on a Monday morning, and they were backed up with work, but still they took the time to search for the problem - a corroded fuel return pipe, in just about the least accessible place imaginable. With offers of coffee or tea and biscuits, and having handed over the waiting room (and power sockets for tablets!) to our two young kids, they cracked on with a repair. It took them three hours to access the leak, cut out the corroded section, order up and take delivery of a suitable replacement, and fashion a firm fix. And when the bill came it was very, very reasonable. 350 miles and many hours later, we’re now safely home, and I reckon the fix will last longer than the rest of the car. Huge thanks to everyone at Ampthill MOT Centre for rescuing us in such a friendly way, and for your willingness to make your busy day even busier by helping out total strangers. I totally recommend this garage - almost worth us driving back down for the next service!

I'd been looking for a reputable garage to look after my old VW Camper van for a while and stumbled across these guys. Took it in for an MOT and she was running a little rich which kept breaking their analyser thingy. Well they helped me tweak the van there went the extra mile and then and got her sorted. Excellent customer service. We recently stayed at Centerparcs at Woburn, and after travelling 140 miles we had car problems as we were 2 or 3 miles away from Centerparcs. We managed to finish the journey, but were stuck with a car that wasn't fit for the journey home. A quick Google search for a local garage directed me to Total Fleet Care. They drove us to and from Centerparcs while they fixed the car, the repair was carried out for a very reasonable price, and they even topped up the fluids free of charge. Couldn't recommend these guys more highly, if you're looking for a friendly helpful service then look no further!

Very friendly. Had a small issue with my car during an MOT. This was explained and demonstrated. They stayed slightly later to make sure it was fixed within the 10 day MOT test window.

This is a response to the negative review from katherine ward. I have read your review reguarding your mot at total fleet care. I understand that you purchased your car from powerlease car sales and that the car was sold with 12 months mot which was carried out at another garage. However you returned the car to them weeks later claiming that it was not road worthy and that it should not have passed its mot. At this point total fleet care was asked to carry out an mot on the vehicle for powerlease car sales and it passed its mot there was an advisory notice given. I would like to know who said this vehicle is not safe to drive and what there qualification is as i know this car has passed two mots in the space of a few hundred miles at two seperate garages.
