Reviews of MR Autogas - LPG Vehicle conversions Ltd

Had an issue with LPG gas smelling in the car. He diagnosed the leaking part and was told it would be £120. He had the part on him so it was fitted and I drove away within 1.5 hours. Whether I paid more or not< i don't know as I never got any other quotes but the price is not the point as I agreed to it but the speed and professionalism was good.

Mashallah the best lpg garage in the uk! Had my car convereted today . Excelllent job done ! And would take my old car to them for any repairs and servicing . They are definitly lpg specialists and will continue to use them in the future inshallah. If your car needs the lubricant the uncle will let you know (as it protects your petrol engine) last time i converted my car somehwere else and it needed the lubricant system but they didnt tell me . And eventually my petrol engine was damaged due to the high heat caused by lpg. Definilty discuss this with mr autogas and he will ket you know . 🙂 10/10 service always !!!

We visited last weekend due to a coolant leak. They kindly fitted us in the same day with very short notice and diagnosed the issue immediately.
Not only did they fix the leak, but they also carried out a service and ran the LPG diagnostics on their system.
This was around closing time but both father and son team were fantastic and didn't rush the work at all. They were very thorough and explained what work they were carrying out.
I would definitely recommend Mr Autogas to others as you will receive an honest reliable service and their prices are excellent considering the amount of work carried out.

I went here today with my 17 year old Ford Transit to see if they were able to repair the LPG which was built in from manufacture. Understandably they did address that they don’t have the software for this van due to its’ age. At this point most garages would just turn you away. The guy here who runs it popped the bonnet straight away and had it in pieces trying to manually fix the problem. The problem is worse than I thought it might be at first, but the guy deserves the credit for trying his best and knew exactly what he was on about and even demonstrated to me what it might have been. Wouldn’t even accept a diagnostic fee. Really nice to deal with, couldn’t recommend these enough. Go and see these guys if you’ve got anything LPG related.

I've had my OMVL LPG setup for about 4years, across 2 different cars. With Mr Autogas managing the install and servicing. Great efficient service as always. They are now UK LPG / DRIVE LPG approved installer which is even better.

My LPG system has been installed at MR Autogas recently. I was really nice surprised from the job they had done. The system is perfectly installed and the set of components is very wisely selected for the price. I can tell this because I used to convert vehicles to LPG in my country, before I moved in UK.
The guys are decent and honest, and they never gonna tricked you. They did the job exactly according to the arrangement we had made before the conversion.
Even if you are able to install and adjust a LPG system to your vehicle, it will be very hard to licensed it. And the cost for inspections will be nearly the same as ti pay the labor for installation. That is and the reason for I didn't convert my car by myself.
The guys also will do all the paperwork for you and license part. You will only need to send the LPG license tackled to your vehicle registration documents to DVLA, to complete the procedure. You will get additional 10£ discount on your road tax - less but is something.
Little bit technical details (could be boring):
The car is a seven seater equipped with four cylinder petrol, 2.0L, 100kW engine (a bit weak for the car - Hyundai Trajet 2005 year). They fit a 54L tank which takes actually 41L, which in the city last for about 230 miles.
The fuel consumption on petrol was:
27MPG /36MPG - city/motorway.
The fuel consumption on LPG is expected to be between 10%-25% more than a petrol, due to the petrol contents more energy (Calories) per Liter. So now the consumption on LPG is as follows:
25MPG /30MPG city/motorway...
... plus around 1L petrol for every 100 miles, for the city only. It is because the car always starts on petrol. However, it automatically switches on LPG when the engine temperature reaches 30 degrees, which is between 30 seconds and few minutes, depends on the ambient temperature.
The system costed me 750£, which was the cheapest variant, but again - the set of components is really good for the price and they provide 2 years full warranty!
The service cost is around 20-30£ for an year or 10000 miles, which is just nothing. During the service, they recheck the system and verify your license, which is very important.
The cost different is nearly twice times cheaper (1.8 times) on LPG and in my case the system will repay its price for less than an year (all cons are taken into account).
I strongly recommend MR Autogas!!! Small garage, but very good equipped! Very nice, friendly guys.

Mr. Autogas sorted my misfiring engine in 20 mins for 20 quid. Other garage wanted to reinstall everything for 600. Very knowledgeable and polite, true professional! My to-go mechanic from now on.
