Had an MOT and full service here, overall a good experience at a decent price with a discount as I arranged it online. They sorted all the repairs my car needed with no trouble however I was a bit disappointed with the lack of communication- saying my car would be ready that evening but never received a phone call to let me know that it would stay overnight. The next day no phone call to let me know what was going on, I called up and was told it would now be ready the next evening. I was fine with this as luckily I didn't need my car urgently at the time, just definitely would prefer better communication so I know what's going on. Overall a decent experience though, thanks!

I went in to Halfords in Springbourne to get my tracking done and through a conversation with the manager discovered that the vibration I'd been feeling in my car for so long could be a result of the balancing being out, so I booked it in to get that done as well. The service I received was personal and very friendly and I could feel that I was being looked after by people who cared. I was really pleased to learn that the balancing could finally be the solution to a problem that I thought I just had to live with. When it was all done, I took it for a test drive and I could really feel the difference. But because I only got the front wheels rebalanced, I could still feel some vibration coming from the back, so I went back and booked it in for them to do the rear wheels as well. That will be done today and I can't wait to have a vibration-free driving experience once again. Halfords really provided me with an excellent experience and went out of their way to explain things to me. Nothing was too much trouble. The premises was nice and clean and the service was highly professional. When they gave me my receipt after paying, there was really helpful information on there about the condition of my tyres and a reminder of when my next MOT is due. I was really impressed with the whole service and am looking forward to going back to get another job done. Amazing service conducted by lovely people who really do understand how to put customers first. Thanks to Wayne and Ben for looking after me. You have solved a long standing problem that I'd had for ages, and now just feel so relieved my car is finally getting sorted.

Very friendly staff. Had two front tyres fitted to my BMW yesterday. Very satisfied. They put a plastic cover on my seat and wrapped the steering wheel in clear plastic to avoid getting anything dirty. Great job!

I called up at 8 in the morning on the off chance they had a moment to replace my broken exhaust in the next couple days, and I was over the moon when they (Wayne) said I could bring my car in that same day (I knew they were busy because I’d called a few days previously) he did the fix for a reasonable price, and I can assure my fellow young females I didn’t feel messed around. My little car sounds happy again now so thank you very much !

Service and MOT carried out perfectly BUT 2 days later realised there was an oil leak, took car back to Bournemouth branch who carried out service and they discovered there was a faulty oil filter, not possible to be seen when installed, with absolutely no argument filter was exchanged and under car jet washed to clear mess created and as said no quibble or extra charge, Have used Halfords many times on my Mercedes over the last 10 years and will certainly continue to do so in future. All the above work carried out by knowledgeable and capable mechanics and helped by front office staff. As i said -i will return.

I booked an MOT test at Bournemouth Halfords Autocentre, where I was welcomed by Kurt, who is an excellent and very friendly, and he kept me continually confident from the start and throughout. I strongly commend him for showing such a professional manner. I was nervous that I would be leaving my vehicle with them, but he continually kept me up to date with their progress via phone, and when there was a delay and I could not get to collect my vehicle, they parked my vehicle in the actual garage as opposed to leaving it on the street, which is not my favourite area of Bournemouth and I was very impressed with that as an extra security. The staff are hard working. The guys who worked on my vehicle tried way past with what I am used to, one particular mechanic worked so hard to find an issue, I have a quite rare American vehicle. I got the MOT certificate after a lot of help from them and for no extra fee, I am completely amazed that there was no extra fees. The actual place looks a bit of a mess but don't let that put you off, I fully recommend them.

I booked my car (Suzuki Splash) in for a puncture repair and a brake fluid change. I dropped the car off at 08:30 and the car was ready an hour later. The brakes feel better and they did a good job on repairing the tyre. Happy with the service and the staff were friendly.

No pressure to buy their services (new tyres) which on reflection I should of done as they weren't expensive and it would have been more convenient.

We use my local branch a lot for our vans. Kurt the manager is great and is really easy to deal with. Unfortunately on this occasion there was quite a bit of miscommunication from his team. My guy was charged for the MOT when it had already been paid for, we were asked to come back in and pick up the fuel cleaner as it wasnt clear if it had been put in, my guy turned up and they said it had been put in! no apology for wasting his or the companies time. As i said usually they are on the ball, might just have been one of those Mondays.....

Today 16/12/2019 dropped the car for a free safety check which I booked day before. Actually I had two worrying issues and I informed to the technician when I dropped the car in the morning around 10 am. Evening 16.30 got a call from Halfords they checked the car there wasn’t anything to be repaired. I went in and collected car by 17.30 and Luke, technician who attended me , informed car is absolutely fine and I asked is there anything to be paid. But Luke was absolutely positive and said it’s free safety check and it is FREE !!! Already been through some reviews and I have to agree with previous reviews to say I would recommend this place. Awesome 😀😀 Kudos to the team

I have had nothing but great business with the Halfords Centre in Bournemouth. The staff are very friendly, clear and concise. I dropped my car off at 3pm for an MOT, which had failed, and they provided me with a well-priced payment plan in order to help with the costs of such an upfront payment. The car was ready by midday the following day. The staff keep you updated on any matter in terms of your car and are willing to move things around in order to work with your availability. Couldn't recommend them any more. Above and beyond.

Prompt, friendly and efficient service for the replacement of two front tyres on my car which I would have rated 5 stars but for the following, which is a critiscism of Halfords in general, not the Auto Centre. It would be helpful if Halfords would list on their invoice exactly what one is paying for in regard to tyre replacement. For example there is no column denoting what quantity one is receiving, just the total price plus vat, and nothing about wheel balancing, valve replacement, or disposal cost, info. that is invariably included by other garages.

Service from manager and staff was excellent. However I do not like the new system where you speak to a call centre rather than the centre that is dealing with your car. On each occasion I had queries the call centre has to tele the local centre, keep you on hold then come back to you . Please go back to speaking to the centre which is dealing with your car.

I have to say when the garage phoned me because my car failed mot. They ran through what was wrong with car and needed doing to pass mot then told me about other things which they say are red advisories which need repairing. There was quite alot to take in and i feel they didnt explain these points very well to me so i feel like i have had more work done than was needed. So paid for mot and major service then an additional 630 to pay on top so kind of feel a bit ripped off.

Went back next morning... mechanic couldn't find the battery in the car! Not much confidence and poor qualitychecking. I had to get manual out to find the battery!

Great service and guarantee on their work Fixed issue the initial issue which broke again, they inspected and couldn’t diagnose. They paid for it to go to the main dealer to be investigated (which Halfords paid for!), same issue as before. They then couldn’t get the genuine part due to VW holding the country’s worth from their VW emissions scandal. They ordered the part from VW fitted and repaired the issue Free Of Charge under the original work and guarantee. I would recommend them, thanks Halfords Autocentre Pokesdown!
