My Vauxhall van sliding door developed a fault. Was informed I needed to take it to a Vauxhall dealer for repair. Tates of Portslade assessed that it needed a body repair and charged me £77.40 for the diagnosis! Took the van to BN1 Body Repairs. Richard spent about 10 minutes tightening some screws and fixed the problem. AND he didn't charge me! I have no hesitation in recommending Richard Spicer of BN1 Body Repairs.

Scuffed my Audi Q5 up and put a little dent in it. Took it to Richard, he took a look, gave me a very reasonable quote and a date when he could fix it! When I got the car to him on the date he gave, he turned it around in 2 x days and the finish and quality of the work was fantastic. Good as new! Would definitely recommend!

My car door was caught by the wind when someone was getting out the car and bent the hinges knocking the door offline. I rang Richard and he said pop down and he would have a quick look, it might just need a tweak. I popped down and he had it fixed in seconds. What can I say ... so easy with a no problem I would love to help attitude (no charge) ... however his expertise and experience not only repaired the issue quickly but also in the few seconds we had, he explained what had happened and how he fixed it but also let's see how it settles down because the door might sink across time due to the nature of the damage and design. If I need more work done to it, I'll definitely be back to him!

I popped in to get a second opinion on a body work repair after not being entirely certain about another local body repair company's approach. The owner was direct, gave me clear advise, and with 5 minutes had "repaired" the scratch damage that the previous garage had quoted £450 to fix! It was completely reassuring to find a good honest tradesman, who is professional and honest, and isn't out to make a quick buck but build relationships with the community! I have other cars needing work which he was unaware of. This chap and his team will get my work and recommendations in future!

Richard is really friendly and 'human'. Made me feel at ease, explained the work that needed to be done (didn't use jargon) and you don't feel like he's ripping you off. Richard had my Toyota Aygo for a day and he did a very good job of fixing a crack in my bumper (someone reversed into back of me) as well as removing some old really significant scratches. Couldn't believe that could be done without replacing the whole thing. Reasonable price too!! PS ... Richard also gave my car a clean which was an added bonus after lockdown and some fab tips for holidays in the UK :D

Just got my vehicle back after it had been in the care of 'BN1' for a few days. Fantastic job! They say they have 25 years of experience, and that is obvious in the quality of their workmanship. Flawless work; friendly; punctual; exceptional value; good to do business with. It is always a pleasure to use a local tradesman if possible, especially when they are this accomplished - a great deal better than employing one of those faceless behemoths, whose idea of 'Body Repairs' is to wipe seagull poo from your car door with a soapy rag, and charge you £100 for the privilege. Although Rich was very busy he took the job on straightaway, for a quote which was well below a couple of his competitors I had been to. Obviously I would recommend his work to anyone, and he will be my go-to guy for paintwork or body damage repairs from now on. My review of his work on my BMW will follow.. A few days later and I have just picked up my BMW and I have to say again the results are immaculate; there had been a nasty dent made by a steel tow bar, and a crease in the bumper, both of which have disappeared without trace, and the paintwork is like new. Great service received from this garage to repair my Mini Counrtyman where someone had opened their car door as i was driving past. This garage gave me a car on loan (great little Fiat Panda) whilst mine was being repaired, so i could get around. the drivers door of my ford transit custom was caught by the wind when i opened it, Result was door misaligned and unable to open due to snagging on front wing, had to enter and exit by passenger door, Two other garages where quoting silly money to repair, saying that a new wing and door hinges were required, Popped in the BN1 and the guy asked me to bring van onto drive, he then used various tools/jigs to manipulate front wing, door hinges, re-aligned door, No damaged was done to the paint work, drivers door now opens as it should and i no longer have to exit/enter via passenger door, All done excellently and in a timely manner, at a fraction of quoted prices from other garages, My new go to garage for any problems in the future with my wife and i vehicles.
