Such a great company. Very responsive to my initial enquiries ( I like to do my research) and they gave me a great price on an EGR delete with the bonus of a stage 1 tune for just a little extra. I have just had my old Vauxhall Vivaro stage 1 re-mapped by Avon tuning in Bristol. There was a massive improvement in the power and made the van more driveable. I was advised to change the after market maf sensor to a original one and all I can say is WOW!!!! The van now pulls in every gear and accelerates as it should... Really great professional guys. Most of their business is remapping cars for better performance and economy. But my son persuaded them to take on an almost impossible job of getting rid of an engine fault light on a Mercedes Sprinter van despite the ECU showing no faults. Brave men! It took 2 visits ( the second one FOC) before they finally cleared the light delving deep into the ECU code history with some black magic computer wizardry.

Took in my E90 320d on 73k to get a stage 1 remap & EGR delete - Fantastic service, originally phoned up to book a stage 1 remap with EGR delete & a dyno run, unfortunately they didn't have space on the dyno until next month but offered me a spot for the works alone a couple days later - got there on the day, friendly greeting with a surprise, they were able to make time for a dyno run 👍 & gave me a courtesy car/ mini spaceship ('21 plate Corsa) for the day - very informative, friendly guys & well priced for the service I received. I also chose to get the swirl flaps deleted on the day but whilst doing the work, found they'd already been deleted & didn't charge me extra. Stats - Swirl flap delete alone -169.4hp & 354.3 N.m Stage 1, EGR & swirl flaps - 210hp & 433.1N.m Hit their HP figure on the nose with some extra torque gains. She now kicks.... & I now know what my traction control warning light looks like... she also sucks fuel when the foot hits the floor BUT there is noticeable mpg gains when driving sensibly. All around very happy with Avon tuning & I will be back in the future!

E92 335d - Stage 1 ECU remap, xHP Stage 2 gearbox remap, EGR blanked/delete, Swirl Flaps removed (Feb 2019) Chose Avon Tuning after a lot of reading and research, and I am glad I did and would highly recommend these guys. A massive thank you to James and his team for the works done on my car. The car drives very nicely and smoothly compared to before, pulls really quickly and effortlessly throughout the rev range than it used to. Notable increase in MPG too. Very happy and pleased with it overall - couldn't be more satisfied with the way it drives. It Dyno'd at just a little bit over the power figures quoted by Avon. Excellent communication start to finish by James, very patient and informative in answering my questions/concerns. Great customer service on the day by the friendly staff, very comfortable waiting facilities. I am thinking of keeping this car long-term - will probably do a Stage 2 in the future when I am bored of this power, and I already know where I am going without a doubt.

I had my VW Golf GT TDI engines’ cam timing adjusted at Avon Tuning in December. I went on the recommendation of others due to their wide knowledge of this problem on this particular vehicle. I can’t sing their praises enough. They have a brilliant setup, friendly, helpful staff, an amazing waiting room and most importantly they sorted my cars hard start, jerkiness whilst cold and white exhaust smoke issues. All cleared up. I was told the Cam Timing was 3.7 degrees out. Car runs much better now. Also the free courtesy car was a really nice. I will not hesitate to use them again and recommend them to others.

I own a BMW 335d F30 model shadow edition, living in Wales I was put in contact with one of your agents, Bayland Motors Clydach nr Swansea , On Thursday 15th of July I had a Stage 1 remap , incredible difference my car is so responsive, Avon Tuning stage 1 soft ware is 10/10 , previously I owned a 435d and had that remapped using another remap centre but the feel and responsiveness I have now in my 335d with Avon tuning software is something else that I didn't feel in my previous car . 👌

Took my 1.6 TDI Seat Leon here for a stage 1 tune and honestly everything has been brilliant. First of all, the remap has been amazing. The car feels much much better to drive, its more responsive and faster. Gaining nearly +40% power has changed the car from a slower "does the job" car to something I absolutely love driving. A car that, thanks to Avon Tuning, can now cater to both economical and performance minded driving with ease. Secondly, and more notably, the service and communication has been exemplary. Every step of the process was easy and every member of the team I met was helpful and knowledgeable. Its also worth mentioning that their ability to adjust to the situation caused by the global pandemic has been incredible. They really do go above and beyond. The work was done within the time frame stated and the waiting room is very nicely equipped with complimentary refreshments and TV. I had my old E90 remapped by Avon and it absolutely transformed the car. They did not use an off the shelf map it was custom tuned to my car which made all the difference. They are a great bunch of guys, they were extrememly helpful when I was talking through what I wanted on my car and advised me accordingly. When BMW wiped the map off my car when it was in for some warranty work, I spoke to Avon expecting to having to pay to get it mapped again. They said there was no charge and they mapped it again free of charge which was extremely generous of them! They also have two great little loan cars, one being a Polo GTI and the other being a Fiesta ST. All in all, they are worth the trip from Wales and I am looking forward to heading back with my new 430D tomorrow to have it mapped!

First time ever getting a car remapped, I always doubted how much difference ECU remapping would make and I have never been more wrong. Got a Xdrive 2 litre petrol 4 series remapped and these guys managed to add 70 bhp and 130 torque on it. It feels like a totally different car, the difference is absolutely insane. Before the 4 wheel driven car felt a bit underpowered but it actually drives like a proper sports saloon now. They also put it on Dyno for comparing before and after (only extra £50) and gave me a nice laminated copy of the performance charts which I thought was a good touch. The people working in there are very friendly and professional so overall a very good experience. Would highly recommend!

Slight hiccup with a part not being sent by a supplier but had regular updates and use of the courtesy car while I waited. Onto the result, absolutely incredible. Bang on the money. Travelled best part of 5 hours to get DPF gutted, EGR blanked and car remapped. What a difference. MPG has gone up, and more noticeably the performance of the E60 520D is miles better. Completely smoothed the car out, with heaps of power gained across the board and most noticeablely after 3k rpm. Flat spots completely removed, was sluggish on a 0-60 run, 3rd gear didn't pick up as quick as it should, now it does. The car even feels less jerky slow speed and has better tolerance to low RPM driving. Courtesy cars are barmy too, almost brand new and good fun. Would recommend to anybody. If you want a proper job, come here!

Had a stage 1 remap on the Dyno yesterday, I arrived at 8.30 and my car was being taken for its test drive before I had even signed over the keys for the courtesy car. Gareth and his team did a fantastic job on my car even working within a timeframe I set them as I had to leave before the end of the business day. James the business manager went through all the paperwork and explained it all with me as we went which was fantastic as after a 3 hour drive to reach them the last thing I wanted to do was read! The waiting area on site is great, with the provisions of tea, coffee, biscuits and soft drinks all readily available. Freeview, a ps3 and DVDs all set up ready to use. I thoroughly enjoyed the drive home in my car, with a 25% increase in horsepower and over 70nm more torque it was like a totally new car, but still felt safe with a nice torque curve and great progressive power. Overall a definite 5* experience, a great and knowledgeable team that are clearly passionate about their cars and the work they produce. Thanks again guys!

I'm really happy with removal of a DPF from my Mazda 6 form 2013 by Avon Tuning. A remapping had to be done once more by Avon Tuning after Mazda garage uploaded a new software to my car without my consent during replacement of a turbocharger. Guys form Avon Tuning did remapping free of charge. They have very civilized air conditioned wait room with access to WiFi, TV, DVD movies, cold drinks, tea and coffee. If you have to wait longer you can get a courtesy car from them free of charge. They have a very professional attitude to what they do. I traveled to them from London and if I need to use one day a car tuning company, Avon Tuning will be the first on my list. Many thanks to Avon Tuning for what they did for me. Jacob

I went to Avon Tuning as other so called "professional techs" failed to find my fault, I was met with a warm welcome from Gareth and was offered tea or coffee on arrival. My car was handed to his team who done a smoke test and checks with the fault find software nothing was found, most places would have at this point sent me on my way or try and charge extra labour cost's but his dedicated team didn't give up they put it on one of there ramps and soon discovered my mechanical problems. It is clear Avon Tuning are a knowledgeable and dedicated professional team, this was my first experience with them and it wont be the last, Cant wait to sort my issues and have a re-map done! Have used Pro Tuning to stage 1 my car. Excellent stuff, 1.4 tsi fr and just thrusts through all the gears without feeling like it's too much for the engine, the power gain is superb and engine runs smoother! This is after a good 7 months since the map.

Great service and quality of work for my fiesta eco boost. Travelled 200 miles because I was looking for a reliable remap for my car because you hear horror stories of car engines exploding with a bad remap. I have a fiesta 1.0 zetec s that already has 140hp. Only a 1 litre engine. Avon managed to get 155hp without any hardware changes and the change is so much better. It may only have 15hp more but it’s smoother and more available power on the lower rpm range. The torque is great too. Such an improvement. I was going to improve the engine further but now I’m going to leave as it is for a year or so to enjoy it! As for reliability, I’ve waited until I’ve done 1500 miles before leaving a review and it’s been perfect. No excess heat, loss in economy or damage to the engine and that’s doing commuting, 500 miles on motorways and pushing it on country roads on the weekends. Avon has a well stocked waiting room with drinks and tv for the wait and the service provided a good, professional and reassuring throughout. Well done Avon 👍🏻

Gareth, Tony and the team at Avon tuning have really transformed my F30 330d. After the remap car pulls much stronger through out every gear, is smoother and quiter too, to the point that its hard to tell its a diesel. The way it picks up speed now is immense, real push back in your seat stuff. The car is now putting out 308bhp and close to 480 ft/lbs of torque. One of the many reasons I went with Avon is because they dont go for the headline figure, but give importance to the reliability and longevity of the components, working well within the cars limits Once I have calmed down Im sure the MPG will rise too as its already looking promising. I was expecting big things and Avon have really delievered. Fair play to them. These guys really know what they are doing and take pride in the work they do. It really shows!! I bought a Mk6 Golf 2.0 TDI in December and took it to Avon Tuning the same month for some ‘sevices’ And a stage 1 remap. I also paid for the popcorn limiter to be added. They carried out the ‘services’ very neatly and you cannot see that they have been done. I was revving my car in the car park to listen to my limiter, but it was not what I wanted at all and I was unhappy that I had wasted my money on it. A member of staff heard me revving and assumed I wasn’t happy. I was offered a refund for the limiter there and then, and told I can have it done for free once they manage to crack the map properly. Haven’t had any issues, but I wasn’t happy with the Stage 1. I just didn’t feel like I was getting the numbers it promised and my car was still a lot slower than others which I know have at least 40bhp less than me. I enquirer about this and I was asked to come in so they could check my car over. Everything was working as it should, so they offered me a stage 2 and dyno free of charge, which obviously I accepted. After fitting an induction kit and straight piping my exhaust, I went back today for the stage 2. Could not be happier. The car sounds better, drives better and really has the pull I was after. I also now have the limiter exactly how I wanted it. I didn’t catch the guy’s name who did the map, but he worked his ass off to get it right despite it being free, while also warning me at multiple stages about the risks of pushing it any further. He knew what he was talking about and offered sound advice, while still giving me the freedom to make my own choice. Like a lot of their customers, I care a lot about my car and I’m always spending far too much time and money on it. My recommendation is to spend some time and money at Avon Tuning. Cannot fault them. When I eventually upgrade my turbo it will be going straight back to them :) Thanks again to the guy who did my mapping and dyno. You are an asset to the business.

Took in my BMW 645ci for ECU and Gearbox upgrade. After a few runs on the dyno the power figures showed my engine was massively underpowered. The team at Avon Tuning really tried to sort out the issues but unfortunately had to abort 're mapping due to my engine issues. Avon could not have been more professional- they tried and tried with repeated dyno runs plus taking my car out for a test drive to get real time data. Another tuning company may have bodged the figures or just flat out lied that the re map was a success.. not Avon . Even after a full day of testing and trying they did not charge me for the day. I have a good idea of where my power losses are coming from now thanks to Avon and as soon as my engine is tip top I shall be returning to Avon. Great team, great service highly highly recommend.

Mazda 6 2.2d DPF, EGR Block and Phase 1 Map. I wasn't really sure what to expect or what the procedure entailed. The guys at Avon Tuning went through everything in a down to earth way from my initial phone call right through to the completion of works. I managed to secure a cancellation slot so was fitted in swiftly, and the job itself didn't take too long at all. Even if it would have been longer the free coffee and biscuits not to mention WiFi meant I could work comfortably from their waiting room desks - nice touch guys! Now for the results.... all I can say is wow... it feels like a completely new car and my god is it fast! not only is the increased power and torque vastly improved but so is the MPG, I am now getting close to 50mpg where as I was lucky to get 45mpg previously (and that's being conservative with the throttle either). I am also massively re-assured by the lifetime guarantee on the work hiowever some how know I am not going to be going back until I upgrade or want the car improved again. As for cost - luckily mine was less than what quoted as the DPF had already been removed but the software was not correctly updated. The chaps dropped the price to reflect time saved and were honest once they established the situation - Kind of says it all really. Would I recommend Avon Tuning - hell yeah I would in a heartbeat. My only concern was that they don't undertake general repairs and servicing only to find out that they do run a Garage in Weston Super Mare and offer a drop off service at their South Glos premises. I know where I will be going in the future! Great work, great team, great guys and exceptional service.

The BEST of the BEST, highly confident, friendly and they know what they're doing. No gimmicks here. I drove 145 miles to get my BMW 330d to them for a DPF & EGR Removal, Ecu Mapping, Stage 1 remap and a full service based on reviews I read online. My car had recently thrown up the DPF light and I was losing MPG and performance. After Gareth and his team spent 4 hours on my car I couldn't stop grinning on the drive home. It is ridiculously responsive, pulls like a train and the icing on the cake is the fact that I was getting 46mpg booting it down the motorway. I'm fairly confident in my 11 years of holding a clean drivers license I must have received points for speeding ( I hope not ) but I can honestly say it was worth it ! ! ! any car I buy in the future is coming straight here so these guys can work their magic.

I went to these guys with a blocked dpf, beyond a forced regen, they cleaned it thoroughly using 3 step process and used advanced diagnostics to find out the root of the problem. Turns out a fuel additive sensor had gone and my diesel wasn't getting the additive from the tank each time I filled up. Great job by the guys at Avon tuning. Can't recommend them highly enough. DPF removal and stage 1 remap on my i-DTEC Accord worked exactly as expected, a few hours work whilst I waited on site using the Wifi and drinking their tea. The car runs well, feels to have more torque and is a little more eager to rev (for a diesel). The guys seem to know exactly what they were doing which was confidence inspiring, especially as I'd read about some people (not at Avon Tuning) having issues with their adaptive cruise control after remaps, no worries about that here - wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. My only negative is that I spent the money on 4 DPF regens, over a couple of years, with Honda. The cost of those would have gone a long way to pay for the DPF removal/remap. If my next vehicle is diesel the moment it's out of warranty it'll be going to these guys for the same treatment as the Accord.

My son had his golf gti remapped this week by you plus a militek exhaust etc. He came back singing your praises, but he's just a lad all impressed with pops and crackles,or so I thought. Well yesterday he nagged me (boy racer style) until I agreed to go out for a drive with him. To say I was impressed with the results is a massive understatement. I also drive a Clk 55 amg,so I'm not that easily swayed or impressed with what i consider little boy racer cars. I was so wrong. The difference is amazing. Much quicker, but still refined and drivable. Big improvement on mpg too. So hats off to you and your team and needless to say I'll be booking my 335d in with you very soon. Seat Altea XL 170 TDi 2007, Lumpy idling plus smoking on tick-over. After visiting several garages to sort this problem out none of them could fix the issue. I stumbled across Avon Tuning using Google and forums. When I arrived at Avon Tuning I was met with a warm welcome and an offer of a brew. Within 30 minutes Gareth and his team had my car running perfect and has improved the poor cold start. Their knowledge of VAG TDi engines is impressive to say the least. Gareth had pretty much diagnosed the problem just by asking questions over the phone. On a separate occasion I also had DPF removal and EGR blank which has improved the overall performance. Nothing is too much trouble for these guys and it is obvious that customer satisfaction is a primary objective.
